For some reason everytime I try to raise the volume on my phone it keeps setting it to the lowest volume and I can't hear anything. Windows media wont work and I can't tell if someone is calling me. Did I accidently modify something is settings?
Thanks for the help in advance.

So, I'm experiencing what everybody else is with this ROM. That initial volume level starts out soft and gradually increases to the max that I have it set to. Some have stated they like this and that's fine. But, I HATE it  . I can never hear my phone ring anymore if it's in my pocket. Has anybody found a possible registry key or setting somewhere to turn this off?
And if any AT&T folks are listening.. I'd like a setting in the volume area to turn this off or on.
Phone Profile
Have you check under phone profiles... Ascending Ring change to Standard Ring
Dustoff
I don't have a phone profile, or i should say i don't see any where for that option. In the phone settings area the Ring Type is set for Ring. There is an option for "Increasing Ring" but that's even worse than it is already. I don't think this is what I'm looking for.
Since the WM2003 upgrade on my SX56, 've noticed issues with the speakerphone volume. I can barely hear it in fact. Any thoughts on this one?
Fiddled around with the volume setting, moved it up and down, and the now the volume issue seems resolved. Can't say for sure if that's what resolved it, but it's fine now.
I'm experiencing the same problem with the AT&T rom.. I'm going to take a look around in the registry later on... before I go installing any apps
Well I have taken a look @ the processes running and can't see anything obvious that would be doing the volume thing..
So I have had a poke about in the registry and have found a section with sound profiles and it has an attenuation property, I have tried adjusting this, and deleting it but still no good
Also there is an entry in the registry called Hack and mentioned Vol in the string... but it didn't make any difference when I deleted that either
If anyone thats a bit more acomplished than myself with the PPC Phone could take a look and find a solution to this, i'm sure many users would appreciated it
Has anyone figured out how to make the volume level constant yet?
Any solutions to get the volume working well on A.30.09 ENG yet?
Nope. I just put my phone volume on next to the top setting and the system volume two levels below it. Works fine then. As long as the system volume is two levels below it will not graduate the sound.

Another thing try ur Reminder set an Alarm you'll notice that you cannot change the Alarm1 ringtone thus the sound stays low ..I tried many things in the registry and no luck as well I wish would some1 help us to resolve this Issue, but!! I made contacts with att's support ,I told them about this problem thus I'm not the only one who's experiencing this, lots of ppl sees this ennoying , I hope they would help here...
The problem is the volume control on my xda exec. For no apparent reason the device keeps turning the volume settings off for the phone and the device, and sometimes it will ring on an incoming call (even if the volume is turned on) and sometimes won't. Can anyone give me some advice on what might solve the problem? :?
After I upgraded this phone to wm6, I could not longer make the phone ring so I could hear it, it is stuck on vibrate. I can switch it over to "on", but the volume stays off no matter what I do. Any suggestions would be great!
Every time I answer the first call of the day, I have to turn up the volume, which is very low. Does it default to low volume from start up?
Also, I frequently put my phone on vibrate with no ringer, then back to full volume ringer throughout the day. This wouldn't have anything to do with call volume, would it? Sometimes mid-day the call volume is back to low.
I use a bluetooth when driving to work, but adjust the call volume on that device, not the phone.
Am I just doing something dumb, here?
Thanks

Stock T-Mobile ROM
That setting you mention only has the choices ring tone, and ring type, which I had on Vibrate AND ring.

ok thanks. This is my first Windows phone. Installing a different ROM seems over my head, unless I can do it on my MAC?
Hi all,
Does anyone else have this problem, using ZTE's Android 5.02, in which the caller's voice level is too low? I can barely hear a person's voice when I answer/call them. But they clearly hear me.
I've tried a few apps that boost volume, but none of them work.
All other things, ringtone, apps, media, music etc. - the volume is fine.
ZTE had an auto update yesterday, system update, completely fixed the volume for me! Everything is normal and working well now
I have problem with wifi, can't connect! (IP adress = 0.0.0.0) plzzz help!!!

What update are you talking about? I'm also having the "low volume" issue.
thanks
edit: tried the b10 update again and still low volume. So pls help
I have the same problem. The in-call volume gets turned way down for some reason when you answer/make a call.
i don't know why, possibly a bug?
when you next make/receive a call...once connected, take the phone away from your ear & look at it.
press the volume up button and you'll see its at about 25%.
pain in the arse

Hi, turn off the "Dual microphone" setting in the dialer app. This solves the problem.
