Hi guys, I know there is a thread already own this but no one is asnwering it. So maybe a new title would help.
First of all, I AM A NEWBIE. I have the HTC P3600 (Trinity) and the "In Call Volume" is very low even when its in the highest volume setting. How can I increase the Volume more? Does anyone who has or had an HTC P3600 and found a solution please explain to me on how to make the In Call Volume louder. I tried the volume.cab file from a post, but had no luck. Volume was still the same. Please, please explain how can I have a louder In call Volume. Thanks.
PS: I have the Original WM5 ROM in my P3600 that came with my phone. Should I install a different ROM? Thanks.

Hi All,
I was wondering anyone out there is experiencing the same issues as myself and hopefully can tell me how to correct the problem.
If I install a cooked WM 6.1 ROM (could be any number of them, ceM, NIAX, etc) the volume through the earpiece (not BT headset or wired headset) is terribly low (to the point I can't use the device). I have configured the volume to be FULL (high) but still it's impossible to hear.
If I install the OEM WM 6 ROM from HTC (or Dopod) the volume is A LOT louder (but not necessarily great quality).
Can anyone tell me where the settings for volume might be contained in the Registry or otherwise? I have tried various changes under HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\ but nothing seems to flick the switch, so to speak.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
WC
+1
Almost same problem here!
I wish to rise the volume of the internal speaker!
It is a matter of registry,or what?
Thanks in advance.

I'll let you know...
Masalism,
Thanks for your post, I have given it a shot and get the following result. The volume is definately louder, but I have no volume control with the jog dial on the side of the phone. Also the quality in the earpiece is quite distored, possibly from the volume......?
Many thanks for your suggestion, if you have any other ideas, I'm all ears.
(to the Mods, apolgies for posting in the wrong section)

Update:
Hi All, I have discovered that "Schaps WM6 4.30 ROM" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355506 has, for me, the best volume level and control.
Just thought I'd share my findings.

WangChung, still the problem remains! Anyone know how to solve this problem without trying several Roms?

Additionally - I hear no incoming ring whatsoever in the earphones. The phone is ringing according to its settings, but I do not hear it independent wheter or not I am listening the audio player (core, win) or not.

I had the same issue recently. Check
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring
The value of AttenuationCategory was set to 5. It should be set to 2. Now it’s back to it’s normal loud self.
Check the other SoundCategories and play with the AttenuationCategory setting.

Hi! I've got a htc jade and I'd like to increase the volume of my phone, I've been looking on the internet and I've found some solutions of other models of htc but nothing about the touch 3g. Anyone know's a .cab to do this or the registry entry to change the volume?
thanks
Hi, from my experience some audio boosters for Diamond worked on mine Jade...
Any progress on it? Can't find anything working either... The incall volume is so low
fron my part I don't have progressed anything....
Don't start messing with audiopara files from other devices. It messed up my mobile completely. There was no sound at all and had to perform a hard reset. Everything gone. It sucks.
It looks to me that the incall volume lowered after installing the last rom update by HTC. But it is really terribly low!

iv been using a jade for more than a yr what ever u try i dont thing u can increase the volume so dont try something and spoil ur phone
goodluck
First of all:
Thank you for your great work and to BE.
I solved and forgot to throw my smartphone out the window thank to you.
Second:
i just installed on my tatto the: CyanogenMod 7.0.0-RC2.2 (7007) 2.3.3
and it's really great.. everything works fine and i can't imagine someday i would use a 2.3.3 on my htc tattoo..
but there is somenthing that doesn't work well for me:
the incoming audio is really really low...
in my settings i set the audio level at the top but is still to low..
is that an issue somebody else found? is there a way to solve it?
i already searched in the forum but i didn't find anything..
thank you for you attention
Simmonsstummer
On that rom is inclided DSP Equalizer, you can look it up and set your sound.
Or, you can try Louder volume hack.
Hope it helps.
i already tried but that is not affecting speaker volume in any way.
i tried also the audiohack 1.4 but nothing...
i need the voice speaker for the incoming calls louder..
nothing works for me...
is there a way to manually change the audio code to improve the volume of the incoming call?
