Has anyone that's released a ROM or mirrored a ROM notice a sudden spike in downloads, around 5000-6000 downloads? It's a bit creepy... And I find it hard to believe that people did it. All at the same time on the same day, the chart skyrocketed, then plummeted. Anyone else seen this?

OK this has been an issue for the past few days. I can't figure out the problem. Ever since I flashes the new radio and flashed back to the stock radio my internet has been slow as hell and its pissing me of cause where I live I should have amazing 3G coverage if not better then anywhere else. Anyone having the same problem as I do? I did a speedtest thru speedtest.net and getting results of 909kbps UP and about 610kbps down. Is that good? Please help. Would a wipe help solve the issue?
I love my hd2, and no i have hspl on and a new radio rom things have gotten even better. Pretty much the last thing i would like to be fixed is the "random" device slow downs i occasionally get. The slow downs are pretty crippling effecting keyboard, scrolling and even unlocking!
Im guessing im not alone (and do remember one of the engadget reviews mentioning it), and would really like it fixed.
I am using the stock 1.48 windows rom with all the usual hotfixes applied. I close every app when im finished with it and rarely have more than activesync and the "in use" app running. (TO the extent that sometimes the device slows massively just typing a text).
Is this something that anyone else has had any success fixing?
Have you looked through the Hints & Tips thread on here? Also have you looked through the large SMS thread also on here which will throw some light on your SMS issue?

it probably has something to do with the automatic updates. i deactivated all except mail every 2hrs and the phone runs like hell . mind you, i have artemis onboard....
maybe you have something against custom roms but why don't you upgrade at least to the official 1.66?
Normally when I get slow downs I just run htcaddicts.com's CleanRAM and the slow down seems to disappear.
It must be something to do with how WM manages memory...?
Can someone with a bit of tech knowlege confirm or discount this?
Ive been through all of the tweaks here thanks. Sadly the device slow down doesnt seem to be related to anything in particular althought maybe it is a background data update for shares/twitter/email?
I have tried cleanram but generally it gains less than 2mb even in level 3 as I close everything once Im finished with it.
I havent upgraded to 1.66 as i dont want to have to reinstall everything on my phone for pretty much unspecified "updates". If i could get exact details of what i would gain with 1.66 from 1.48 then maybe id upgrade..
slow downs and freezes still occur in latest rom unfortunately...
I read on another thread someone sent their phone back and got a working model - first Ive seen of it though so hopefully not a board fault.
I also had slowdowns with 1.48, and the stock 1.66. With my current ROM I haven't seen one, except for a couple of times with ActiveSync going mad when trying to sync over bluetooth.
I have to admit i kind of think its core to WM6.5 and sense so i doubt any rom would fix this. I am hoping that as WM7 gets sense then the new kernel will support Snapdragon so we get some processor head room.
Just picked up a Vibrant last night, to replace my trusy old G1. I have noticed that there seems to be a LOT of lag in the market, especially when its trying to load the images, or when trying to load up the first install screen after you click "install" or "update". Is this the "Galaxy S lag" ive been hearing about, or has anyone else noticed this as an issue on this device?
Thanks!
Note: I am on WIFI, so the internet connection shouldnt be any issue, and I am rooted.
We all know that there is a random issue with the keyboard letters being unresponsive randomly (and on random handsets). Sometimes its a delete (backspace) button, sometimes its a letter A or P. The only way to fix it would be putting the phone to sleep and waking it up.
I tried to search for the solution and did not find an answer. I tried different keyboards - the issue persists.
I am running RoyalGinger 3.0
Does anyone know how to fix it? I really love Royal Ginger, but this issue is quite annoying.
I've experienced it too. I made a thread about it, don't know if you've seen it.
But you may wanna take a look as dozens of other people have reported it. Some have found temporary fixes and such.
But here it is.

If you could post your input there as well as to which ROM it has happened to you and anything else would be nice. That way we can kinda have a consensus on what ROM's it's occurring.
Before the flaming starts, I know there are threads about the screen refresh issues but think this may be different. Back in the day would call this a screen refresh issue but I've noticed a minor flicker at various times of use. Initially it seemed to occur only when using aldiko, but now I can't tell if it happens regardless of app.. or if my mind is playing tricks.
Anyway to test to see if there is a screen defect? Does rooting do anything to help fix it? Appreciate the help, save the flames for someone else please.

From what I can tell, I think it's a Tegra issue. Nothing in the software.
