Power on and hold volume button down.
Can you get into tri-color screen?

When i start up the phone, only the "HTC" logo appears on a white screen, and nothing else happends.
I was trying some guides to get a NAND version of android on the phone, but now it's just like this..

i guess i installed it in the wrong order or something..
i didn't read everything, something i really regret now!

Here's the thing:
If you are posting in this section or the WP7 section then you didn't brick your phone. If you are posting in the WinMo 6.5 section then you may have.
You can't brick your phone doing anything Android related.
Flashing task29 then magldr will solve your issue, then just reflash your Android ROM.

you can't brick your phone flashing Android or WP7 because magldr is flashed over HSPL and you can always get into HSPL provided you didn't do something wrong from HSPL like flashing a bad radio or something. If your Android ROM is fubar you can always reflash magldr from HSPL.
Sorry about your friend and your own phone, but you are either experiencing bad Android ROMs,. kernels, or hardware issues with the phone itself.

Hi Olipro,
We know hard-spl is the best on our device, but for example in Hungary service said not offical software component (for example hard-spl) void warranty...
When I took my Triniy to service, I had to restore the offical base...(ipl, spl, os, radio).
But of course if everything works, hard-spl stays on pda!
AND THANKS FOR HARD-SPL

well fine...
run the Hard-SPL updater, as soon as it puts your phone in bootloader and asks you to replug USB... DON'T... wait for the RUU on the PC to timeout and exit, NOW replug the USB, flash a normal ROM.
Thank you.

If it is a hardware problem, you can't fix it. Need to ship it back to the manufacturer can replace it, if you're still under warranty. Maybe you can try to flash it back to the stock rom and test it before doing anything.

what "Unlock" are you talking about? If you talking about the sim unlock, which allows you to use any GSM carrier, then yes, it will be lost. But if you talking about hardSPL, then no. The original stock rom just like any cook rom, you can flash any herald rom

Please give a little more detail. You installed hspl, did you check that it is installed? (Power off, power on with down volume pressed) it should read
1.42.HSPL
if it worked.
If it says 1.42.0000 then it isn't installed.
How did you flash the new rom? did you use an sd card, or run from the pc?
Also, if you have already ''flashed using hspl'' did you not then add a new rom? Do you mean you have istalled HSPL and not yet flashed a new rom?
thnk u for the quick response
ya its says hspl 1.42...i wasnt able to flash a new rom every time i try to flash a new rom it doesnt go past checking my phone and it gives me a win error..

i was wondering if there is any way to SAFE a real dead phone.. cause all this discussion is just about phone who can boot up boot loader etc...
by mistake i killed mine.. have a T-Mobile HTC HD 2 and flashed a europeen ROM on it. Before that a flashed HSPL 3 and and Radio_ Leo_ 2.15.50.14 and also an custom ROM with greek language wich all worked fine... than i had the bright idea to flash an original rom^^ and cause of beeing tired my brain blacked out and id didnt think that the original greek htc rom has a ...51... radio... so i^m %&"§$%§"
the device doesnt do anything... i cant get into boot loader nor hard reset nothing!!! this i what i flashed: _ HTC "HD2_RUU_ Leo_ HTC_ELL _1.66.482.1 _Radio_Signed _15.30. 50.07U_ 2.06.51.07_ Ship"

Sending it to HTC repair center. your problem isn't related to a software problem, but you have brake internal hardware.
Just out of interest.....
Do you get a connection if you try to connect it to your PC/lappy ?
yes some device with an ? which i cant install "qualcom cdm tech....."
thats it
You could tell HTC that your phone was working fine then you put it on charge overnight and the next morning it was dead and no mention of flashing anything. If it is under warranty (and I think that it is 2 years for the USA phones) then they should replace it. Now it is not fair to claim when you caused the damage, but then again look at the complaints folks are getting with genuine complaints with HTC. Others have tried this fib and got away with it.
i think thats kind of a problem.. i bought it over EBAY from the states an i live in europe - greece so i think its kind of difficult claiming some warranty right?!

So it's not completely dead
Install WMDC, then plug phone in, should have/get driver for you
Now you can try to re-flash it straight from PC/lappy

(On Win7) do you have WMDC Driver Update in Ctrl Panel/Progs & Features ?
Search this forum for 'Qualcomm driver' and you will get some results
If needs be, you can DL the driver and force a manual install through Device Manager (when you plug your HD2 in)
ok i^m gonna try also on win7... but i dont think thats gonna make any diference

Well try to sending it back, and don't mention that you flash something. Just that one day you wake up and that sins then you can't wake up your device.
If thy don't look at the Radio, thy will send you a other device/repair it on warranty.
If thy see that you have flash a wrong Radio, I have seen some peoples mention that thy have pay about 150€ for reparation.

Bricked TMOUS HD 2

Hey guys I have a question. I was trying to create more space on my HD2 a few months ago and my phone went dead. The light doesn't come on to show it's charging and it doesn't show any signs of turning on. I just left the phone but now I think I want to have the phone back on. Is there any way to unbrick the phone to get it back at least working. I was trying to put a new radio on it but I put the wrong version and it complete killed the phone. Any help or suggestions to getting this problem fix.
Thanks

1) where did you get the idea that flashing a radio created more space?
2) If you flashed an incompatible radio then there is no unbricking except jtag
Orangekid is right the only fix it to have it JTAGed. Contact me via PM and I can reffer you to someone that offers this servos if you want it unbricked.
Edit: Sorry I had not checked my inbox yet and read your message.

The title of that thread needs to be changed. A truly bricked HD2 will not even turn on which means you can not get to the bootloader. A truly bricked HD2 is bricked because the SPL of bootloader has gotten screwed up and it cannot boot any of the software. Hence the phone can not turn on, hence the term "brick" because it is a useless brick. If someone has a phone that that they can still get to bootloader with it is not bricked. A phone like that is just havering software or user difficulties and can in most cases be fixed, unless it is a hardware problem. Even then it can be fixed just not by flashing different software.

Dude, If you can get into the bootloader its not "bricked" obviously.
When you flash a EU radio to a US HD2 you do a "real" brick not just a n00by flashing problem.

Most likely got mixed up between RAM and ROM and thought that it would enable more storage instead of ram.
Either way he deserves the brick for not reading/researching properly before messing about with his device.
you do realize that thread was made for exactly what everyone is referring to right?
when someone flashes a eu radio/rom on their device right and renders it useless...its an old thread but some users have reported success.
however if it is a bl issue it won't work
I should've said that

I think we do realize that thread was started to try to help people. But that does not change the fact that if you flash a x.xx.51.xx radio (which are EU radios) or a 2.04.50.xx or a 2.05.50.xx radio (which are test radios) to a TMOUS HD2 it will, not maybe, but will brick a HD2. This is a Bootloader issue when you do this. So again that threads title needs to be changed and it is useless to the OP.
As T-Mac said, this is a physical brick. That phone is not going to power on again until it get's JTAG resurrected.
