Bricked TMOUS HD 2 - HD2 General

Hey guys I have a question. I was trying to create more space on my HD2 a few months ago and my phone went dead. The light doesn't come on to show it's charging and it doesn't show any signs of turning on. I just left the phone but now I think I want to have the phone back on. Is there any way to unbrick the phone to get it back at least working. I was trying to put a new radio on it but I put the wrong version and it complete killed the phone. Any help or suggestions to getting this problem fix.
Thanks

1) where did you get the idea that flashing a radio created more space?
2) If you flashed an incompatible radio then there is no unbricking except jtag

Orangekid is right the only fix it to have it JTAGed. Contact me via PM and I can reffer you to someone that offers this servos if you want it unbricked.
Edit: Sorry I had not checked my inbox yet and read your message.

The title of that thread needs to be changed. A truly bricked HD2 will not even turn on which means you can not get to the bootloader. A truly bricked HD2 is bricked because the SPL of bootloader has gotten screwed up and it cannot boot any of the software. Hence the phone can not turn on, hence the term "brick" because it is a useless brick. If someone has a phone that that they can still get to bootloader with it is not bricked. A phone like that is just havering software or user difficulties and can in most cases be fixed, unless it is a hardware problem. Even then it can be fixed just not by flashing different software.

Dude, If you can get into the bootloader its not "bricked" obviously.
When you flash a EU radio to a US HD2 you do a "real" brick not just a n00by flashing problem.

Most likely got mixed up between RAM and ROM and thought that it would enable more storage instead of ram.
Either way he deserves the brick for not reading/researching properly before messing about with his device.

you do realize that thread was made for exactly what everyone is referring to right?
when someone flashes a eu radio/rom on their device right and renders it useless...its an old thread but some users have reported success.
however if it is a bl issue it won't work
I should've said that

I think we do realize that thread was started to try to help people. But that does not change the fact that if you flash a x.xx.51.xx radio (which are EU radios) or a 2.04.50.xx or a 2.05.50.xx radio (which are test radios) to a TMOUS HD2 it will, not maybe, but will brick a HD2. This is a Bootloader issue when you do this. So again that threads title needs to be changed and it is useless to the OP.

As T-Mac said, this is a physical brick. That phone is not going to power on again until it get's JTAG resurrected.

Forgive me for being a noob, I am new to the community.
I did read the first post at least 5 times (if you are counting and I am not being sarcastic, just honest) before I even attempted to post a response. I am not an experience (veteran) on Android or claim to be. I am just starting out (joined: 13th March 2011) and trying to fix my own problem. Since I am being help by other, I would like to do the same and give help to the community.
To my understanding by reading kmart2788's post, it does not sound like he has a hard bricked that required a hardware replacement (Donner). Please educated me if I am reading his post wrong. So I can learn how to read the post correctly (no pun intended).

Questions about a semi bricked xperia play..

I bought an unlocked sim xperia play (This means I have to put in my own sim card right?)
1)unlocked the bootloader
2) Rooted with play_modded.img
...........
3)update with the SEUS == '.
4) becomes bricked
5) flashed with all kinds of ftf with the same result. -> Phone works fine but no radio and sim card couldn't be read. No fast boot ..
6) So went back to SEUS WITH the flashed ftf and updated it.
7) Now the radio works with everything else but cannot find my SIM card.
8) Oh and the fastboot won't work (where you hold down the search button when phone turned off and plugging into USB).
*update:
gave it into SE and they changed the motherboard..all free of charge. So it's more or less a completely new phone.
I've done some reading around the XDA forums and am happy with all the support the phone is getting. Thanks to all the developers who are trying to hard on fixing this brick XD. I understand how flashing the file will break the radio cause the code on it isn't fully fixed (or something along the lines), and so is the sim card reading isn't fixed? i think and also the fast boot?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1085184
Blagus and other developers have been trying to work on a "sim locked" phone? does that apply to my device where I have to put in a sim card of my choice? or is a totally different situation?
Correct anything above....definition wise..
Hey man, I've had the same problem, I had unlocked the bootloader and flashed with custom image, but then after doing software update it has bricked my phone!!!
You mention flashing with 'ftf stuff'...what exactly do you mean by that?? Could you give me any pointers on where to start?
Thanks
There has been a million and one threads warning people not to update with seus with an unlocked bootloader as it will brick your phone! As it stands you are stuck with a semi bricked phone untill the devs get xrecovery working....

Damn, can't believe I didn't know!!! I've got phone insurance so I may just send it ot them and get them to sort it / replace it. They might kick off about it being rooted, but if they will swap a phone for someone who has dropped it in a toilet then surely they will for someone who has rooted it / then updated the software!
Is there any knew on how the devs are doing with xrecovery?

Mine has gone in for repair now, same issues.
unlocked bootloader etc.
Although, i you can flash the xperia play with the generic uk .ftf file which is floating around but you will lose radio.
Just reflash the phone through the SEUS after and the phone should be back to normal.
The problem with losing the radio seems to be because flashtools doesn't flash the simlock.ta file...
I'll keep you posted with what they say about my Play.
Best of luck.
right guys,
mine came back exchanged. the phone got outsourced to higher engineers. they still couldn't find the problem. kind of annoying as i know exactley what the problem is, just can't tell them or they would probably void my warrenty!
anyway, happy days!
best of luck to anyone else with issues due to the xperia play!

I'm not talking about the battery, I'm talking about the metal pieces that are supposed to make contact with the battery.
Also, why don't you try using the AC power?
Also did you flash the correct rom?
did you go to htc site and enter your IMEI number (under battery) to confirm correct ROM
Can you link the exact ROM you flashed?
What post two wanted to know is "is it a t mobile USA" version, and what rom exactly did you flash, because if it is a tmous, and you used a non tmous stock then the phone is dead.

if you have a Tmobile USA version, so it sounds like you may have flashed a stock ROM with a .51 radio in it, meaning you now have a paperweight, so let's make sure, can you tell us which ROM you flashed exactly?
edit: if you don't have a tmoible USA HD2 then lets look at a few more options here.

Would probably cost more than the phone...
there's plenty of advice on solutions, keep looking. it may well be you just need to take battery out and leave it for a while... can't see how a stock rom would brick it, unless you installed the incorrect rom...

[Q] Failed to boot 0X1000

Hi everybody, this what happened:
I tried to flash my atrix with Atrix 1.26 Retail SBF through RSDLite.
After that it shut down and when i try to turn it on it says :"Failed to boot 0X1000" then it shuts down again. It doesn't even give me any option.
For the record, my phone was up to date (i got that wifi only system update by att). Also, this phone is unlocked and I have no warranty with any carrier.
I hope I didn't brick it.
Please give me simple solutions if there is any. Your help will b very much appreciated.
Thank you so much.

People are being helpful...by telling you sorry. If you need it for work, you'll probably just need to go buy a new phone ASAP. Like others have said, there are plenty of warnings and instructions on what/what not to do on your phone. Unfortunately, you missed those. Hope you can find another phone for cheap...
You have a hard brick, never try to downgrade. Nottach was able to fix his because he got a brick by upgrading, and he was lucky enough to figure it out. Downgrading on the other hand ruins your device, every time

We are helping you, by telling you that there's nothing that you can do. Your phone is hard bricked. There is absolutely no way to recover from a hard brick, period. You need to replace the phone. That is the reality, and there is no getting around it.
I was running CM9 on my Atrix when my digitizer went bad and I got a dead spot. I submitted it for warranty and before I sent it I tried to put it back to normal. I did something wrong I guess and ended up with a different boot error (didn't even give me an error code the screen was black unless I plugged it in I just got the NV flash thing). Anyways, I sent it in and the same phone came back completely working with a fixed screen. I think when they get it they hook it up with a factory cable and flash it back to stock with the SBK, which we don't even have access too. Just send it in for warranty saying it has software problems, and I can almost guarantee you it will come back working.

Bro do some reseatch that error message is a soft brick I believe I ran into a similar issue when I first roote it last year
Just thought I would weigh in that I received this same error code after an attempted SBF flash of zomgunlock-lite.sbf, and thought all hope was lost, but then I found this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27158667&postcount=153

Return it and claim warranty, tell them that your phone suddenly went off and that you don't know the reason. They may replace the board for you.

Do you mean the bootloader that needs to be written as T-Flash to a microsd using Odin 3.09 or higher? (as per 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf) Isn't that just the same as sboot.bin written raw to first sectors of microsd?
I would be interested to hear if you managed to use that just for the "extreme hacking" angle of it :good:

I do not think the microsd is enough - the Note3 ONLY boots from microsd if you short R4075 on the mainboard - there is a notice from Samsung service somewhere around with a name like 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf that describes the details (and comes with a good picture of what you need to short).
