Did you update to a different version of clockwork? Make sure the nandroid does not have any spaces in the name

When you restore a nandroid do you restore the whole nandroid?
or do you only restore a part of it?
Doesnt the nandroid back up the bootloader or something like that & if i tried to restore it through nandroid wuudnt it brick it?
CW 3.0.0.5 or cw 2.5.1.2?
Does it make a difference which I use to do my nandroid backups? I'm using Nebula which still requires flashing in CW 2.5...so that's why I ask.
Also I did a backup yesterday in each, and when I tried to restore from both they both said md5 checksum fail. I had to restore from an older backup. What would cause that?
Did you rename the backup? That messes it up.
I dont think the CWM version matters, I restored a backup from 2.5 in 3 after an upgrade
Yeah I renamed them. thanks for the answer on that.
When renaming don't use space and keep it simple some characters don't work (for me).

Not sure how it's done on the epic side of things, but nobody does nandroid backups in the captivate, vibrant, or i9k forums. Clockworkmod doesn't save the modems or kernals and such all the time so it doesn't back em up. Therefore you can be restoring a rom over a bad kernal flash, or incompatible modem, ect. Just keep the cw update.zip on the sd, odin to stock, use titanium backup to restore apps. Android ID changer to restore id and your good.
i was bone stock with root, i flashed the latest cm10 nightly, i went to try and restore my data and sd ext and it says md5 mismatch, the i tried restoring the whole backup with the same result.
how can i flash my backup and get back to stock plus root? or restore my data?
edit, i dont have the play store app so i cant even get titanium backup to get my data
You should have made a nandroid backup before flashing CM10.
With regards to play store, just flash the G-apps from goo.im site.

bump. anyway to fix this? i have alot of important things on that backup.
is there a way to salvage files manually from a CWM backup?
You could try disabling the md5 check in CWM and see if you can boot after restoring the backup.
By the way, for next time, did you know the TB let's you create a flashable zip file so that you can install it through recovery? It's under menu/create update.zip

Sorry if this is the wrong place. I have made several nandroid backups using Philz Touch recovery (6.0.4.7 i believe) and my ROM is Negalite Wonderom NG2 v3. All of the backups fail the MD5 check. I have made the backups from both the recovery and an app (online nandroid backup). I looked at the backups using nandroid manager, and the same file causes the backups to fail the md5 check. After re-generating the md5sum using nandroid manager, then immediately checking them via the in-app verify function, the same file (system.ext4.tar.gz.a) fails the check. Why is this, and how can I fix it? Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, I want to restore a nandroid backup but when I try to restore it, I get an 'MD5 Sum mismatch' error. I changed the name of the backup. So what should I do to fix this? Please help.
