[Q] MD5 mismatch error while restoring backup. Help? - Galaxy Grand 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I want to restore a nandroid backup but when I try to restore it, I get an 'MD5 Sum mismatch' error. I changed the name of the backup. So what should I do to fix this? Please help.

Did you update to a different version of clockwork? Make sure the nandroid does not have any spaces in the name

CWM error while restoring /data/ from backup

So as the title says, I'm getting a "error occurred while restoring /data" message.
It all started when I received an MD5 mismatch error. I read some threads and was able to fix the MD5 mismatch using notpad++ and MD5 calc. It seemed that the data.img was the only one needing modification. After fixing the MD5, the restore process passed the MD5 check, however failed to restore data which I really need.
I've tried numerous backups. I've tried wiping all the cache's I could in CWM before creating backup. Nothing seems to work.
The kicker here, is that I have 2 backups nearly identical but only the earlier backup works when trying to restore. Now the only difference in the two backups are the offline map files I have installed for the app ForeverMaps.
I've had no problems restoring from backups before. I feel like the size of the backup may be the culprit. The backup size is about 2.3GB. But then again I don't understand why this would be an issue.
I'm running CWM version 4.0.0.4 and the ROM is a slightly modified stock rom for the galaxy tab 10.1. Honeycomb 3.1 I believe

If the checksum is incorrect, some data got corrupted somewhere. You can't just fix the checksum and expect the data to be correct thereafter.

Hmm...
Well is there a known issue with backups exceeding a certain size? I feel like this is where the error occurred in the backup process.

[Q] Can't Restore Nandroid Backup

Sorry if this is the wrong place. I have made several nandroid backups using Philz Touch recovery (6.0.4.7 i believe) and my ROM is Negalite Wonderom NG2 v3. All of the backups fail the MD5 check. I have made the backups from both the recovery and an app (online nandroid backup). I looked at the backups using nandroid manager, and the same file causes the backups to fail the md5 check. After re-generating the md5sum using nandroid manager, then immediately checking them via the in-app verify function, the same file (system.ext4.tar.gz.a) fails the check. Why is this, and how can I fix it? Any help would be appreciated.
