Searched and checked the FAQs and saw nothing pertinent about downloading apps in the Marketplace for an activated HD2 with WP7 Mango.
Unless the market is down right now, I can't install apps. It keeps giving an error code when I try. I signed into my Live account and also went through the Zune process but it won't install apps. Is this not possible?
EDIT -I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1157535 - flashed it and found I can't use my regular Live ID on this WP7. My regular Live ID is already associated with a different WP7 phone. Once I made a new Live ID, reset my HD2 and reentered the activation code, then signed into the Windows Live account with the new Live ID, I was able to install apps at the market.

I upgraded the new ROM to 3.14 and went to marketplace, there is a windows live version 11 there for download. However it states to manually remove any existing version prior to 11 before installing. I am completely lost at how to do this, it is not in the remove program section. Does anyone have any insight, has anyone tried to upgrade without removing version 10 first, any success?
Whenever you install things from the Marketplace that ask you to uninstall the older version first, if the program that is being upgraded was onboard your device, IE Office or Live, then you cannot uninstall it via the remove programs area, you have to delete it from your devices internal memory. HOWEVER, there is basically zero risk or chances of problems with you just going ahead and installing Live without removeing the old one. What its referring to is if you installed Live from a cab to remove that version first.
What happens when you change to another android-build?
What will happen with the stuff I have bought on android market from the first build?
Can you have a number of different androidfolders on your SD card and just boot which ever you want from Windows mobile?
I have changed builds a few times and for me, all my apps downloaded again onto the new build no problem. It should do same for you, assuming you have a Google account linked to your phone. Just open Market and it should do it from there
As for paid apps, can't say for sure I've only downloaded free apps but should be the same
Platform: HTC-HD2
Android 2.2 DFT (31-12-2010)
Problem: Unable to delete primary Google account from device under Android 2.2.
Got this phone from a friend, but his google account is still linked at Market. I already created a new one for myself, but I can't install any apps, due to the linkage between his google account and Market. t
Did already tried steps under settings/Accounts & sync/Google/ remove account/ only get a massage asking to go to settings, under privacy and reset the phone, which have not been able to find. The only place I’ve found which allows you to delete accounts and personal data is under Settings/ SD & phone storage /Factory data reset. I’ve tried repeatedly resetting phone from that selection and still will not remove Google account. Resetting by deleting img-file on /sd/android works either, since there is no such file there...
Anyone a solution?
Thanks!
same problem
I just picked up a HD2 cheap just so I could play with the Android part of it..Love playing with phones so I'm not a pro quite yet but it sounds like maybe you need to re-install Android 2.2 with DFT. That should give you a clean fresh rom install. Like I said, I just started on the HD2 so I might be wrong but it might be worth a shot.
There are different ways to do it.
I would suggest to make a fresh install of your chosen rom.
If you want to keep existing rom then you need to answear this. What magldr version are you using? (To check the version, turn off phone, turn on and then quickly after hold power button till you get to magldr, check version, post it here.)
Hi all,
Today I flashed a new rom.
After flashing and setup I noticed that the phone-market began to install all Apps I ever had installed - on one hand a nice thing but some of them are not needed and I alreday deleted them from the phone days before....
How can I edit this? Is there a fuction in zune?

Click to collapse
You can just uninstall them.
And if that does not work you might want to check into Zune, but most apps are linked to your Live ID and not to zune.
checking Live ID out is worth the while as well hope I gave you some tips.
Thats what I did long before... uninstalled the apps.
In Zune I can't finde a menu like my apps... The same with the live ID...
This has never happened for me, did you do anything special to get it working?
Nooo I don't think so...
First Rom was the Moonlight and now I installed Xbmod.
Activation by using a activation key from MS installing apps via Market and other XAP's by using Application deployment from the SDK....
Any apps you have downloaded from Zune will auto install for you. Any apps you have downloaded form the market place on your phone will not auto install for you.
At the moment you can not remove the apps from the Zune list, hopefully this will be added to a later version of Zune soon.
My omnia 7 is updated to the latest version of the OS (8107) but I recently found the firmware of the phone is JK1. That makes the new root tools 0.9 unusable with the phone.... I want to know if I can manually update my Omnia7's Firmware without wiping the phone... I have lots of important data on my phone such as SMSs... Anyone?
Try the CAB sender (sreach for it)
Also, make sure you have the official cabs, not the custom one(I assume you run stock rom).
How to Restore all your Apps on Windows Mobile
Maybe you should take a look on following apps :
