[Q] Upgrade to Windows Live 11 in Marketplace - HD2 General

I upgraded the new ROM to 3.14 and went to marketplace, there is a windows live version 11 there for download. However it states to manually remove any existing version prior to 11 before installing. I am completely lost at how to do this, it is not in the remove program section. Does anyone have any insight, has anyone tried to upgrade without removing version 10 first, any success?

Whenever you install things from the Marketplace that ask you to uninstall the older version first, if the program that is being upgraded was onboard your device, IE Office or Live, then you cannot uninstall it via the remove programs area, you have to delete it from your devices internal memory. HOWEVER, there is basically zero risk or chances of problems with you just going ahead and installing Live without removeing the old one. What its referring to is if you installed Live from a cab to remove that version first.

Manual removal of MyPhone?

I'm using TAEL Rom forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=587883
I am having problems getting MyPhone to work, the version that is included in the ROM no longer works without an update, however the update package is unable to remove the old version from the rom, so it is unable to install the new version, could this be because it was cooked into the rom? There is no uninstaller for it in remove programs but I have installed SKTools and I have run the MyPhone uninstaller which was listed in there but I think it has left some traces behind (there is a load of files in my windows folder).
Could someone point me in the right direction as to how to clean up all traces of myphone including registry and files etc as I cannot install the new version, the progress bar on the installer gets to around 80% then my device just freezes and I have to do a soft reset.
Any help would be appreciated

Cannot Remove Apps

Hi all any help appreciated
I have an HTC HD2, I am currently running the CleanEX rom on WM 6.5 and 2.9 radio.
I have no major problems except
I cannot remove any applications that market place says I have purchased, even if these are free.
I cannot remove them from the app list. I cannot reinstall them, I cannot remove the program from my application list, either from pc or phone. Whatever I do they are still there.
i think this is something to do with Market place as it still lists the apps as purchased and ready to install.
Any ideas how i can remove them. Happy to ignore most but ironically i want one back on and I cannot install it over the current screwed up install.
thanks
In the same boat.
I have one app I want to delete and did but it still shows up in the list even after running uninstall.
I would like to re-install but cant.

[Q] Effects after changing android build/version

What happens when you change to another android-build?
What will happen with the stuff I have bought on android market from the first build?
Can you have a number of different androidfolders on your SD card and just boot which ever you want from Windows mobile?
I have changed builds a few times and for me, all my apps downloaded again onto the new build no problem. It should do same for you, assuming you have a Google account linked to your phone. Just open Market and it should do it from there
As for paid apps, can't say for sure I've only downloaded free apps but should be the same

Click to collapse
You can just uninstall them.
And if that does not work you might want to check into Zune, but most apps are linked to your Live ID and not to zune.
checking Live ID out is worth the while as well hope I gave you some tips.
Thats what I did long before... uninstalled the apps.
In Zune I can't finde a menu like my apps... The same with the live ID...
This has never happened for me, did you do anything special to get it working?
Nooo I don't think so...
First Rom was the Moonlight and now I installed Xbmod.
Activation by using a activation key from MS installing apps via Market and other XAP's by using Application deployment from the SDK....
Any apps you have downloaded from Zune will auto install for you. Any apps you have downloaded form the market place on your phone will not auto install for you.
At the moment you can not remove the apps from the Zune list, hopefully this will be added to a later version of Zune soon.

How do I manually update my Omnia7's Firmware without wiping the phone?

My omnia 7 is updated to the latest version of the OS (8107) but I recently found the firmware of the phone is JK1. That makes the new root tools 0.9 unusable with the phone.... I want to know if I can manually update my Omnia7's Firmware without wiping the phone... I have lots of important data on my phone such as SMSs... Anyone?
Try the CAB sender (sreach for it)
Also, make sure you have the official cabs, not the custom one(I assume you run stock rom).

If you learn to use this tools it can be so easy to reinstall ALL your apps.
email accounts, facebook account logins should better be entered manualy
