Cannot Remove Apps - HD2 General

Hi all any help appreciated
I have an HTC HD2, I am currently running the CleanEX rom on WM 6.5 and 2.9 radio.
I have no major problems except
I cannot remove any applications that market place says I have purchased, even if these are free.
I cannot remove them from the app list. I cannot reinstall them, I cannot remove the program from my application list, either from pc or phone. Whatever I do they are still there.
i think this is something to do with Market place as it still lists the apps as purchased and ready to install.
Any ideas how i can remove them. Happy to ignore most but ironically i want one back on and I cannot install it over the current screwed up install.
thanks

In the same boat.
I have one app I want to delete and did but it still shows up in the list even after running uninstall.
I would like to re-install but cant.

Removing prgrams

Have noticed that after installing a few apps lately and wanting to remove them, there doesnt seem to have the application names listed within the Remove Programs in settings!...All my currently installed applications are visible but only those that i've installed over the past few days are not. I've had to manually delete entries withing the registry and program files to physically get rid of them. Any ideas. Thanks and apologies if I've missed this in another thread.
Had a similar case... I've installed a few programs.... Then try to install a new one. Installation completed, working but not listed in the removing list... And when I get another one out, magic, it appears.... Strange...
funny you mention it, ive noticed this in the last few days aswell, never had any of em reappear, but i can see em listed in registry just not in Activesync add/remove or on remove progams on the device.
Yep same problem not all programs delete via activesync 4.1
I installed several programms and uninstalled them using activesync 4.1 ... they dont uninstall, even when i ensure that nothing is running or linked..
They dont uninstall from device itself either so I had to manually delete them its a nuisance.

Can't uninstall app

I tried to install Bandswitch except for some reason it didn't work so I tried to uninstall it, it said that it was not completely removed and if I want to remove it from the list of installed programs, but the app still shows up in the uninstall list and I try to install the latest version it says it can't since there is a version already installed, it also tries to replace it but gives me an installation unsuccessful message.
Is there any way of completely getting rid of this and then being able to install the latest version.
sounds like you might need to hard reset unless you speak to the developer of the app you are having problems with.
unless... try installing the same version again?

Hi. You can use SK Tools to uninstall the app, and also use Memmaid to delete the shortcut(icon).
No hard reset needed
Windows Mobile can be a ***** for uninstalling apps. Usually if there is a process still running for the app when you try to uninstall it you will run into trouble.
Soft Reset between using an app and trying to remove it. Of course if the app loads itself on Start-up this will be futile
In this case it may be a Hard-Reset to fix the isue. Sorry.

Agreed, if you are using the "remove programs" option that comes with the phone, its not good.
I use Memmaid and it always removes it completely for me so as mentioned give that a go first before a hard reset.

Are you trying to uninstall via ActineSync/WinMODeviceCenter?
Do it from the phone and install by copying your cabs to the mem card and ruuning the installer from there.
Then you won't have a history of installed apps that builds up with AS/WMDC.

[Q] how to remove fission rom programs!

Hello!
So I am fairly new at rooting and roms but I managed to do everything perfect on my droid 2. I am running fission and it has served me very well. I just have one minor question. I've tried everything lol. So installed the 3G mobile hotspot app that came with the rom manager and I want to remove it. I tried deleting the application through the "manage applications" screen and I've tried dragging and holding then dropping the app into the trash and it says "uninstall unsuccessful." Am I missing something. Can anyone give me a hint? I just want to remove the app that I installed via fission.
Thank you!
Just use Titanium Backup. Click on the app you want to remove and then select uninstall and poof its gone. The free version is able to do this, just search for it in the market if you aren't using it already.
nice! thank you for your help. deleted the program without any problems.

[Q] Metro Apps. Where are Installed?

Where are Metro Apps Installed. I know there is a folder in Program Files\WindowsApps but Are they User related or System Related? Or they are like Preinstalled and get installed on new account creation?
Also I see a lot of folder of the same Apps with different versions. Is it safe to remove older versions (folders)?

Apps are indeed placed in "Program Files\WindowsApps"(all apps) I have removed the older versions with no noticable issues. To delete a current App, simply flick up on the app tile, (be it on the start menu, or in all apps) and select "uninstall". Note that this will only uninstall the latest version of the app. You will still have to go to "Program Files\WindowsApps" to delete any prior versions.
Ok with that, thanks. But I uninstalled and want them back, how can I reinstalled without Store? BTW I'm using PC, not tablet.
Sent from Sony Xperia Live with Walkman
Ummm... you can't reinstall them without the Store. The store is how you install apps... that's the point of it.

OK, and why the heck the older versions are leftover? they use unnecessary space.
The original versions of the built-in apps persist so that any newly-created user accounts will be able to install those apps. Additionally, if you already have multiple user accounts on your system, but they have different versions of an app installed (for example, because they were never updated on the other accounts), the leftover versions will be present as well. There may be some other circumstances where old app versions stick around, too... it's not fully understood. Bear in mind that sometimes empty folders will stick around, consuming trivial space but appearing at a glance to indicate entire apps left behind.
Mind you, this has all been discussed before. Please search before posting.

delete bloatware without root and without additional app

Hello guys
I just discovered a small trick on how to delete bloatware which came with the phone. Or I hope I discovered it. I have a G935F from a german carrier called o2. It has no root-rights and is stock. It came with various apps such as "hrs hotels", some o2 apps, an app to install a game called "Empire: Four Kingdoms" and so on...
I believe it was only possible to deactivate and not to deinstall these apps when I tried to deinstall them.
Fortunately I was able to deinstall with "My Files" from Samsung which is already installed on your phone. At the very bottom is written "Storage Usage". There you will find the window "User data". Click on "Detail" and now on "Apps". There you go....
Maybe you guys can check if I am right and you can deinstall this way apps you wasn't able to deinstall before. Unfortunately I already deinstalled all my bloatware and now I don't know if they really are only possible to deinstall this way.
Sometimes carrier bloat is installed in the data partition where they can be uninstalled. I think you'll find that Samsung apps and services cannot be uninstalled this way. That's because they reside in the system partition.

AT&T US version does not have access to details under Storage Usage. Thanks for the tip.
The US T-Mobile version does have it, but unfortunately it only shows the apps that I have installed, not any of the carrier bloatware.
