No go. Followed instructions from this thread,

No go. Can anyone help
Webtop works, meaning when I plug in the HDMI I get the webtop on my tv but cant move the mouse.

i had the same problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1139557
first i deleted webtop everything from system/app
then i motofastboot flashed the webtop img cgimg
make sure your doing moto fast boot not just fastboot
then i did this one copy and pasted line by line rebooted twice
bam back to normal

Tried flashing cg61.img using fastboot with failure because image is too big. I can try to use moto-fastboot but dont how see that will help. Is there a way to wipe the webtop completely or is that what you did when youdeleted everything to do with webtop from /system/app

you beat me to it
fastboot is really only for the fastboot oem unlock in the pudding thread
use moto-fastboot for all flashing after you have finished pudding
fastboot only allows flashing something like a 256mb file. you have to use moto-fastboot for system and webtop images.

Exactly the help I was looking for.....thanks a million guys
last question.....is there a list of all files floatin around for webtop?

what do you mean?
I used the one from the webtop 2.3.4 hktw fix thread that you listed.
It works great. I also did the webtop2SD thread on 2.3.4 with the 2.3.4 webtop and it works perfectly.
If you want the 1.83 webtop you have to flash back to 1.26 then 1.83 spf and then reflash pudding. personally I have been using 2.3.4 hktw since it was leaked and have not wanted to go back to 1.83 despite the little issues in 2.3.4.
my 2.3.4 build has the following in it...
tenfars latest recovery CWM
hktw system
boot.img with remount support
webtop from the webtop fix thread
my cardock fix
webtop2SD
Gentoo in webtop
Debian in webtop with xfce4

I got it fixed with the CG61 img and it's working perfectly now. The key was to use moto-fastboot, not the normal fastboot in my sdk folder. I'm going to put debian back into my webtop (had it in my 183 webtop and loved it). What is the xfce4 you mentioned in your debian???????????

xfce4 is a lightweight window manager like gnome.
only gnome is like 2 gig

(ignore directions above the download)Instructions
Download moto-fastboot for your operating system
Turn your device off
Boot into "Fastboot mode" by holding down the bottom volume button while pressing power.

moto-fastboot -w
moto-fastboot reboot
Sweet! Thanks

So I'm confused..how is this different than the other methods of getting 4.5.91? I know one of then can brick if you flash sbf, but isn't the cwm zip safe?

These are completely safe to flash. They don't mess with your bootloader like the OTA or SBF.

So is there any particular benefit to using this instead of the flashable zip beta #4 thing you have in the dev forum?
Why does the brief mobile site say you need CWM? Your instructions just say fastboot. I am relatively new at this so excuse the stupid question if it is one.
So before flashing this we need to unlock bootloader by flashing the pudding unlock sbf. After that can we gain root by using the root.zip found on the other threads by flashing with cwm

So does this work just as well as the other one that was removed because of potentiak damages to peoples phone? I just want to make sure if I use this I have everything working, like the fingerprint reader.
seems good, lets try

The download links for the image pack is below those instructions, because those are for something else. Just use fastboot for these.
Sorry, if I am being a bit thick here.
Having installed this update, one should generally avoid installing future OTA's, correct?

Hi Ken,
Could you please help to clarify:
1- I have already been on 2.3.4, using flashable zip for locked bootloader. Anything different between your rom and the previous flashable zip file ? Is your file is final one ?
2- Noting that using 2.3.4 via flashable zip for locked bootloader, I can not flash back to stock 1.8.3 rom (or I have to use the modded stocked 1.8.3 with unlocked bootloader). Can I flash back the stock 1.8.3 (original one) after using your file ?
Hope your reply soon
Thank you very much,
Quang

If you're on the OTA zip... just stay... you've already got a STOCK ROM.
After inputing the command everything seems to be fine. Upon rebooting the phone said unable to boot starting RSD mode. I am currently flashing to 1.8.3 with rsd lite. Any idea why that happened before I try again?

Tks Ken,
How about the possibility of flash back to 1.8.3 ? Can I back after using your file ? If I can, can I upgrade to your file without hard brick my phone ?
Noting that your file is more completed than flashable ZIP file (more img files)
One more thing, after using your file, can I use OTA when AT&T officially announces the final one ?
Best regards,

[Q] Going back to 1.8.3 stock

I'm on Kenneth's 4.5 beta gingerbread ROM right now
what is the most ideal and safest way to sbf back to stock 1.8.3 for now?
RSD and SBF?
thanks!
Did you start with the HKTW build? Or did you flash the .img files provided by Kenneth?
If it is the latter you can sbf back to 1.8.3 but I believe "safest" would be to flash to 1.2.6 and update up from there...
someone chime in to make sure i'm not totally wrong.
More on this here
All firmwares
From adb shell do:
#cat /sys/firmware/fuse/ReservedOdm
Make sure it doesn't contain a "3" like this
10000000000010001000300000000
If it does you'll be hard bricked if you flash a pre 2.3 SBF file

so if it doesn't then I can use RSD Lite to flash a SBF?
I soft bricked my phone yesterday and what I did was dowloaded WinRAR and extracted this build:
OLYFR_U4_1.8.3_SIGNED_OLPSATTSPE_P013_HWolympus_1g_1FF.sbf.7z
RSD'd it over in RSD protocol and worked fine.
Then I used Sideload wonder machine to to install Gingerbreak.apk to root and the MOTOA4_Bootstrap_0408_1720-signed.apk.
Worked like a charm for me.

Favor Please? (Backup full rom)

Edit: I give up, I can't seem to get full linux running on my webtop... Even after checking so many guides...
So if someone (Flashahloic or Someone with a Rom that has nothing on and it Ubuntu on their webtop) could please do a complete backup of their Atrix (Including /osh) and uploading it for me...
Don't flame... If you can't do it then don't post... Or you can explain from the start how to do it? Thanks...
I don't want to be a jerk, but why you don't do it yourself?
Once you flash the 4.5.91 SBF you can't downgrade. If I try to flash the 1.8.3 SBF I'll brick my phone, so fruit cakes is the only way to downgrade, and Sam hasn't uploaded the 1.8.3 Fruit Cake with Webtop yet...

He has the 1.83 system and boot up (been there for awhile). But you're right there's no webtop. But using FCM wouldn't matter since /osh isn't included in the .zip it generates.
Also, you'll notice that none of his fruitcakes have webtop bundled with system and boot. Each one is a separate file.
Your right... How can I get the 1.8.3 Webtop then?
Rip apart the 1.8.3 sbf using Moto sbf De-packer, I think it was cg61 or cg65 I don't remember but there is a sbf guide if you search through the pudding links that lay out the cg files to which partition and your wrong you can downgrade you just need a pudding boot loader loaded sbf file which is also available through pudding, if you flash it 50/50 I have gotten a boot loop on my end ionoe but no bricking you can grab the osh partition through adb by flashing romancers recovery after the flash and use
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p13 of=/sdcard/osh.img bs=131072
to grab that webtop though I doubt youll get it working with a ginger based rom.
I got no luck with any of the methods... Thanks for helping though Djazin!

[TOOL] XOOT 1.1: Root your XOOM and more!

PLEASE READ
Cornea, the universal toolkit tool I promised following XOOT's discontinuation, has been released! It's free, and tons better. Please check it out rather than downloading XOOT. Click here to go to the thread page. Thanks.
(XOOT will still be available for download if you want it for whatever reason.
Bugs
XP not supported properly. This will not be fixed. It has been fixed in the new version of XOOT, Cornea.
Changelog
1.1 (CURRENT VERSION)
XP x86 compatibility! (not working)
Compressed file changed from RAR to ZIP so that users don't need WinRAR or equivalent to extract XOOT
1.0
Initial release of XOOT
Sorry that this isn't in Android Development, I have less than 10 posts and I can't wait to share this...
XOOT is the easiest tool you can use to root your XOOM! It works for XP 32bit, Vista, 7 and 8 flawlessly. In fact, it does more than root. Here's the grand list:
Bootloader lock/unlock (WIPES DATA)
Root your XOOM (thanks solarnz)
Convert from a region XOOM to a GED XOOM
Flash non-flashable boot animations
Includes ADB and FASTBOOT for all your Android developing needs!
Brick your device if you are ruthless and unplug it during the progress.
HONG KONG USERS SHOULD STAY AWAY. PLEASE?
IF YOU'VE DONE OTA UPDATES READ THE POST ON THE SECOND PAGE ABOUT THE GREEN ANDROID OF DEATH.
XOOM ADB drivers are required to benefit from XOOT! Please download them and install.
Hope you guys benefit from this. It definitely works because I used it to root, flash recovery, unlock bootloader and flash boot animations.
If you're amazing at ADB, try adding more commands! All ya need is a bit of batch programming experience. If you plan to just use this and enjoy, OK! Just open and go!
FAQ included in the ZIP.
Please read: Now that XP compatibility has been added, XOOT is harder (but still easy) to open.
If you are running XOOT on Windows XP or Server 2003, rename choice_xp.exe to choice.exe. Then proceed.
If you are using XOOT on a version higher than XP, open XOOT.bat without renaming Choice_XP.exe
Have fun with your XOOM!
PLEASE NOTE THAT I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ISSUES CAUSED

i am not responsible if this goes cockeyed, btw
has any1 tried this? cheers
Region xoom to ged xoom? What does that mean?
Sent from my MZ601 using XDA App
Region/GED Xooms
A region XOOM is one that's not in the US. It may have changes made by Motorola, and get updates slower. This is why UK Xooms have SD card read/write officially.
A GED XOOM is a XOOM that's in the US. It's known as a Google Experience Device, and cannot be modified my Motorola. This is why US Xooms have SD card readonly officially - they are not allowed to add the hacked mod to enable write.
I read this on a website. Sorry but I can't find out which one, I will give you the URL link soon...
Anyone tried yet? Am contemplating.

Be careful with your Hong Kong Xoom. They seem to have different partition set-ups and have been known to lose (misplace) 28 gb of their internal storage when rooted/modded without a particular patch made by solarnz. Should do. I think mine is a Singapore XOOM because when I first turned it on the language was set to English (Singapore).
HONG KONG XOOM owners STAY AWAY. I have read that solarnz's universal root thing doesn't work wonderfully well on those.

the green bot of !
Ok this thread is missing some things.
* Fastboot OEM Unlock Wipes your Tablet. backup first!
* The green bot of !
there is one problem that exists with all xoom roots/cwm hacks.
I had this problem as well as a bunch of other people when trying to flash CWM.
If these files are present after a OTA update then your xoom when entering recovery will show the green android robot with a explanation point instead of CWM.
if you have applied a official ota update.zip then you have one of the following two files on your xoom that will prevent CWM from working.
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
If you already have root and your not trying to root with CWM then you can fix this issue with the following commands before flashing the recovery.img
adb remount
adb shell rm /system/recovery-from-boot.p
adb shell rm /system/etc/install-recovery.sh
If you do not already have root on your xoom when you get the green bot of ! then you have to do the following with the stock moto files for your device (from moto dev).
This Wipes your Xoom also
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot -w
fastboot reboot
after your xoom boots back up and goes into the setup screens skip setup and enable usb debugging. ( do not install a ota update! )
and restart xoot to root the stock rom.

Thanks, didn't know about that. I'll be adding some more code to XOOT soon to tackle this.
XOOT does notify you that locking/unlocking bootloaders does wipe the device. However I will modify the main post to show this.
Can anyone tell me where to get the ged files from, I've searched for them but really don't know what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance
@joe ferreira,
I have quoted you in my adb/fastboot/rooting guide, as I didn't know why so many newer Xoom owners are having issues flashing CWM recovery.
@epic118, I'm also really interested in whether the Xoot method works safely...it would make life a whole lot easier for a lot of people! The Xoom community is a little shy about one-click rooting methods, since one last spring bricked a whole bunch of tabs, but if proven effective and safe, folks would eat it up.

i don't know what this means but it will power up normally
