Hi, Pinball HD has got stuck tryin to download in the notification bar. In the market it just has the install button, no cancel.
Have turned it off, used a taskkiller to kill all and cleared market data with Titanium. It wont budge.
Any ideas?

Try pressing install again? No response? These tends to go away after an hour or so.
Tried. I could cancel the second instance but first stays. Been 18 hours so far.

Try this : go to setting- application-manage application....
Search for download manager, touch it and clear the cache....maybe works....

@val5 Worked a treat. I was obviously focussing on the Market too much!

I cleared the cache and dalvik cache (for good measure!) the one time I got this issue and it disappeared. Haven't had it come back since.
Grrrrr...
Tried it all.... force stopped. Cleared caches in recovery, almost helped. It downloaded but doesn't install at 100%.
Its a random selection that don't download. A few Tegra games, Wordfeud, Words with Friends, Pulse.
Would love a solution.

Right. Found the few that did download in Download Manager's cache via Root Manager so could manually install.
Still very irritating!

When trying to download apps, it stalls on the starting download screen. I've left it there for 5 to 10 minutes without anything happening. I still have 201mb of space left for the apps. Is anyone else having a problem with this?

This is one of the reasons why I rooted my vibrant and installed ryanza's lagfix. Have u tried clearing your market history/cache?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
Cool, Thank you i will try that and see if it works.
Mine does it. Not sure why but this fixes it......open Google talk, click on a status, and go "home". Works every time. Make sure you have talk ignored in you task killer too.

I'm having a serious issue with the market and I have not been able to find any solutions. No matter what I do, applications will not download. I've wiped cache, dalvik cache, even a factory reset or three and nothing. So I odined back to stock di18 and it still won't download anything. Anyone have any ideas?
Lol - we made threads within a minute.
I've got issues too downloading.

Me too on 3g only.
Anyone tried via wifi works for me but I'm on a g2

I tried wifi and still a no-go.
Same problem here. Tried downloading an update, and says "Download Unsuccessful" in the notification bar.
I have 2 friends that have the epic 4g and are having the same issue! I rooted the phone for them using the one click root 2.4 and upgrade both to froyo 4.2 beta! I cant say if they had this issue before or not, but they definitly have it now.
Problem: open market try to download any app, it will say that it will download shortly and show briefly in the notification window but then just goes away and never downloads.
I have try connected and disconnected from wifi. Problem still exsist.

Haha I was concerned it was something I did so I explored all my options! But I've got backups for a reason . Anyway as was said in the other post it's working now so no issues anymore! haha
Yea it isn't working. Im on midnight 5 standard. I get an msmachdep_init error no matter how many times I try. Also os anyone having trouble with the xda app? It wont open and force closes constantly and I have to reinstall for it to work again. Then it'll happen again. Stupid xda app :O
Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I had to do another full wipe with a manual reinstall of all programs after my update. It was the only way for me to get everything working.
The xda app, go under settings>applications ad clear the application cache, then re-log in. I have to do that whenever it FCs on me.

Sent from my SPH-D700 using XDA App
I never understood why to type system/bin part? Mine works just fine by typing sensorcalibutil_yamaha, nothing else required.

Mine works fine too with just the sensorcalibutil_yamaha.
You don't need to reboot either. Just exit the terminal and turn the screen off and on.

The rotation is from the launcher used in it, I switched adw and problem fixed.
I had to reinstall the rom a second time in order to get the fc's. Since I did it a second time everything works better and much smoother.

Hi guys i've been noticing since last night that my home screen keeps foreclosing on me and whenever a message comes in it comes in slow. At first I thought it was my launcherpro acting so I decided to go back using the stock launcher but then the foreclosings kept occurring and even when opening Apps it would seem slow to open them. Can anyone help or tell me how to fix this? Thanks
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
I'm really sorry, but I couldn't help this...
Blame the bad economy if you're foreclosing!
Lol nice one
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Whenever i get forces closes i usually solve it by clearing the data in the app manager or uninstalling and reinstalling.
Are you using a stock rom?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Are you using stock ROM or custom?
Try reflashing the custom ROM if you are. Remember to wipe data / cache / dalvik. This usually solves most problem
My phone is not rooted its stock everything
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Also when I flip through my home screens the contact is very delayed
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Did the forcecloses start after you installed launcherpro?
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Ive had launcher pro for about 2 months and it would fore close once in a while but nothing too bad. I uninstalled the app and it then the stock launcher started foreclosing on me
I think one of the system file is messed up. I'm not sure though. Maybe you can try to unroot it and flash a stock rom (or hell, just go with a custom rom) to see if it's fixed.
I ended up doing a factory reset on my phone and everything is back to normal thanks for the help guys

usually FC are cured by fixing permissions.

But it always does it that's one of the reasons I rarely have cm7/miui as a daily driver.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
It's really an annoying problem. I had to odin back to froyo.

I know its cm7 because my g1 had almost as many apps and never did this and it had 255 apps
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA Premium App
I've only experienced this at random if I restore app data. Not sayings its the cause but it was the common thread for me.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA App
Alanrocks: after you restore you apps and data (make sure your "acceptable" system data isn't being restored from a Samsung rom, like wifi/bookmarks/etc), boot into recovery mode, wipe dalvik and cache partition, and then try doing a fix permissions.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
also if the backup part of google doesnt finish all the way in the very begining process of starting cm7 then any and all apps will fc. U know the part where u touch the droid and sign into google and etc.etc...if it doesnt finish signing into google server then it will do that, i found this out the hard way as i couldnt figure my fc's out and that was my prob. I thought it had finished, lol
good luck with ur prob.
My idea is to odin back to stock and reflash cm7! wipe data wipe dalvik etc
Okay thanks just restored and unchecked the Google backup will reboot into recovery to wipe dalvik and fix perm.

Alanrocks: make sure you aren't restoring voodoo control data either.
Lol you guys.
The problem you are experienced is caused by the /datadata folder being full. Apps are trying to save/change settings as you run them but since it's full, they can't write to it and force close. To fix this problem, go in the folder and find out what app or a few apps are taking the most space and delete them. Your problem will be solved.

the vibrant's original partition scheme essentially change /datadata to /dbdata. but we're not using that. and that has nothing to do with storage.
Ooops mis understood.
Okay gotcha but i think fixing the permissions fixed it as i havent had any issues since last night

Yeah, whenever I do a complete restore using TB on a new rom, I clear dalvik, cache, and fix permissions to try an eliminate any problem spots.

I think I have to delete some apps.
I just deleted the /datadata folder and rebooted. Cleared dalvik and fixed permissions . Went back to the /datadata folder and there was only 6 mb free of 178
And you're wring because if I delete a folder of an installed app.
I reboot the phone and the folder automatically comes back.
Yes you get more memory when you delete but as soon as you reboot everything comes back.
I've been having this happen to me so often and it has been driving me nuts. Is there anyway to increases the space in /datadata? I have 5 gbs free, so I hate that it says it's almost out of room.
