I'm having a serious issue with the market and I have not been able to find any solutions. No matter what I do, applications will not download. I've wiped cache, dalvik cache, even a factory reset or three and nothing. So I odined back to stock di18 and it still won't download anything. Anyone have any ideas?
Lol - we made threads within a minute.
I've got issues too downloading.

Me too on 3g only.
Anyone tried via wifi works for me but I'm on a g2

I tried wifi and still a no-go.
Same problem here. Tried downloading an update, and says "Download Unsuccessful" in the notification bar.
I have 2 friends that have the epic 4g and are having the same issue! I rooted the phone for them using the one click root 2.4 and upgrade both to froyo 4.2 beta! I cant say if they had this issue before or not, but they definitly have it now.
Problem: open market try to download any app, it will say that it will download shortly and show briefly in the notification window but then just goes away and never downloads.
I have try connected and disconnected from wifi. Problem still exsist.

Is this just me? Every time i reply to a post, I get a force close. This has happened on almost every firmware I've tried.
Just me?
Same here, it crashes everytime, do not know, but I think this is not a firmware thing, but a xda app thing....
are you guys on Froyo or 2.1 ?
i'm using it just fine, no errors, i use it very often to check my PMs and post back on the go
I had the same a few days ago.however somehow the problem got solved and now I don't get these FC's anymore when posting a message...

Mine is a clean install and the latest version. Guess its just a bit crap then... much like the official UK ebay app as well then.
Oh to top it off my phone decided it had enough and went to sleep again.

mine was upgraded from the older verison
Posted here earlier that my problems were gone, but I just had another FC after posting elsewhere...
Also, when trying to edit a previous message I seem unable to type anything; the keyboard appears on my screen, but touching it gives a feedback that is the same as touching in a textbox (I can move cursor and select text etc.instead of typing with the virtual keyboard that is displayed).

Edit: hmmm this time no FC and fully able to edit message....weird...
Mine just crashed using quotes. Seems to work fine otherwise.

Yes. They seem to be having some issues.

Ok, just glad I'm not the only one. Was going to flash a new ROM, but I'll wait till this gets worked out.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
HA!! I just switched to a new ROM and I have been posting in the devs thread telling them the ROM isn't allowing me to download anything from the market. Oops! At least I know where the problem is coming from now though. Too bad I have wiped my phone and now can't download Titanium Backup to restore.
Also I have tried 3G, 4G and Wifi. The market just isn't working.
Yeah, maps won't update. Guess ill have to wait. Now says my maps aren't even installed.

1 out of 3 downloaded (smart keyboard pro) maps and another app are hanging as well. I was wondering what was going on. Glad I saw this thread I was considering a wipe. Using calkulins rom.
This is driving me crazy.
It goes from "Starting download" to "Download paused"
dumb
Same here. Started this afternoon when I went to update some apps. Goes straight to download paused (never even seen that before) and after some time says download was unsuccessful. Tried downgrading market but it didn't help. I hope Google gets the market issues fixed soon. They keep secretly updating it and half the time it works and the other half it gets serious bugs.
What a cluster, but I'm glad It's not just me.

Yes, on all ROMs. Seems it's having problems tonight.
It does not appear that restarting helps either. Nor does clearing the cache.
Perhaps the system went down or is updating on Google's end. Are other phones having issues?

Check this out:
http://www.androidcentral.com/late-night-market-woes-youre-not-alone
AndroidCentral thinks that it is related to the Gingerbread updates.
I just downloaded an update to Handcent, so mine is working just fine, but yeah, I saw that story on Android Central too. Seems you're not alone.
If you want the new market to update automatically all you have to do is go into your applications and clear data once that is done go into the market click agree and log or of it and give it a minute and it will update. Worked for me hope it works for you.

Thanks OP! It worked.
For those who aren't sure what to do, this might help a bit.
On your home screen, press menu, then select settings. Navigate to "Applications", then select "Manage applications".
Click "All" and go find "Market", click on it and then click "Uninstall updates", confirm and uninstall, then click "Clear data". Now you can close it and reboot (or turn off and on if you are not rooted).
Then just relaunch Market again, wait for a bit and you should have the latest.
So my phone is running hktw 2.3.4 fyi. Just got in the car to head home from work when my atrix shows the orange triangle caution notification icon. So I see what it is and it says "Enable Wifi to start download update". Figured blah blah its not good to download since I've read other people not being able to download. I'm sitting in traffic and decide screw it and turn on wifi tethering with my streak. Connect with my atrix and after little bit the update begins downloading. Random I know! Of course it its going slow as ****. As I'm finishing this post it is at 11 percent. Gonna be home soon so I'll connect to my wifi and get it quicker. Anybody else getting this update now. If I'm the first person to get it, how do I pull the update off the atrix for posting on the forums?

Try the software update, see if it finds it again, if so and you get it downloaded do install later then you can search for the file and upload it. I can't remember where it gets stored tho.
