Booting into clockwork mod - Acer Iconia A500

I am having issues booting into clockwork mod through Acer recovery installer after I flashed Picasso. I was able to after the initial app install, backing up the stock Rom and recovery but now it doesn't do anything when pressing the reboot into recovery button. Vol + power method doesn't work either. Anyone else having this issue? Solutions? Can I reboot into recovery through emulator?

Please read this post of mine replying to a user also having similar problem as you... hope it works for you

Try holding down the buttons and not letting go UNTIL YOU SEE 4 LINES of text

It would also help others if you were to come back and let people know if that indeed solved your problem !!

you must be using the super IO kernel? There's no 2e recovery so when you select reboot into recovery in ROM manager it'll take you to what you described and if you hold down the power button for a few seconds, it'll reboot into CWM

I am using whatever came stock with his rom. Would that be the Super IO Kernel? And if that is the case, do you have any recommendations for what kernel i can use that is compatible with his rom?
Thanks!
I just boot into recovery on R14 and install from there. Just go to the zip you want to install. Or use rom manager and when it locks hold power and let it reboot.

As far as I know those apps aren't compatible with the TF yet (I think it's a Honeycomb thing at the moment), give it time and they should hopefully get updated ...
oh,ok thanks for the info.

If you're on Prime 1.5, press and hold the power button for recovery option.

Power phone off , power phone on , once you see the magldr screen , press and hold power , then using volume buttons scroll down and select "AD Recovory"
If you can't get into recovery your recovery is probably broken. If you tried the above post and you can't get into recovery mode you probably flashed clockwork mod via rom manager (this breaks the recovery) or did something else to damage the recovery. Download the sd recovery method via this post and follow the instructions as well:

Can you boot into recovery now? Make a backup via CWM and reinstall CWM if any problem persists.

Check if your volume keys are working in clockworkmod, and if they are, flash a ROM of your choice.

If your volume keys do not work, download the image of a touchscreen-based recovery and flash it using flash_image in ADB or Terminal. (flash_image recovery <file-name>
You can reboot to recovery if your ROM supports that as an option in the reboot menu, or through adb command (reboot recovery)
can u suggest a touch screen recovery program ?

Did you do anything to the phone that might of caused it to stop working? On mine i opened it and saw that the button on the ribbon that's pressed by the key was moved and it wasn't pressing it (Had to put a tiny piece of foil and tape). When you press it do you feel it kind of click or it doesn't feel like its pressing the button?
the buttons seems to be pressing down ok im just looking everywhere to try a find a solution

[Recovery]CWM for Samsung Galaxy SIII mini - official

Few days ago an official CWM recovery was made from the ClokworkMod team for our device. Here you can find the link for the site to download or you can download the ROM Manager app from the play store. It's version 6.0.2.7 and it is the latest version.
It's official so don't ask if it work, cos it works.

This has nothing to do with me, it's not my work, i'm just sharing the info!

Find a backup of original recovery.img for i8190 and put it on your external sd.
Use Terminal emulator with "dd if=/storage/extSdCard/recovery.img of=dev/block/mmcblk0p21" command, and it will be written to your recovery partition.
What different between CWM recovery and original recovery?
Is both support three key combo reboot? Volume up + home + power when phone starting..... or how?
Which is better for usage?

Cwm recovery allows you to flash .zip files not signed by samsung. And it also has some othet function wich the stock recovery doesnt have.

i'm install cwm and uninstall tool : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2093727 but increasing custom binary count : 1 how to reset ????
You can't reset it not yet.
Why did you even flash it with Odin? You should've asked me to make a flashable zip with stock recovery, like the ones you saw in other CWM topics.
But most importantly, why did you reflash stock recovery in the first place?
I`m not able to access CWM recovery mode by holding down the 'HOME' + 'VOLUME UP' buttons and press the 'POWER' button for about 5 seconds . The phone show me a black screen and reboot again , if try again to enter recovery mode I face same reboot , if no key are pressed is just booting normally . Strange is that TWRP recovery is working perfectly with the combination of vol up + menu + power
