Power phone off , power phone on , once you see the magldr screen , press and hold power , then using volume buttons scroll down and select "AD Recovory"

If you can't get into recovery your recovery is probably broken. If you tried the above post and you can't get into recovery mode you probably flashed clockwork mod via rom manager (this breaks the recovery) or did something else to damage the recovery. Download the sd recovery method via this post and follow the instructions as well:

Can you boot into recovery now? Make a backup via CWM and reinstall CWM if any problem persists.

Rom manager now works on tattoo

Only tested on SP-FROYO 1.2 with patched Market.
Install rom manager from market. Choose HTC "buzz" aka wildfire when asked and flash recovery. Now choose "boot into recovery" in rom manager.
Amon-Ra´s recovery is now replaced with new recovery.
This is nice

hi
whats special about this i did see this on the market
just wanted to know what special or better than what we already have
you can for example scroll down and push down agin to get on top agin. so it scrolls around.
you can flash roms in folders. for example you have a folder structure like this:
SDcard/-install-/roms/Puzzlerom/all_files_related_to_puzzlerom
SDcard/-install-/roms/AnotherROM/all_files_related_to_AnotherROM
You can "start" your flash from android, so you can use your touch screen to chose what rom to flash. Start rom manager and select file to flash. rom manager will ask if you want to backup you rom and if you want to wipe. it will reboot in to recovery and do your choise made in android. for example, do backup, wipe, and then reboot phone to system auto.
This is just a little thing it can do.

Hello there!
I believe I must be doing some stupid mistake, but I have done this over and over and still no success :S
I have rooted my HTC Tattoo (Vodafone PT), installed ROM Manager, selected it as a Wildfire and installed recovery.
All is good there.
Now the problem is when I try to install HCDR v.17 using ROM Manager, I always get a verification failed :/
Any help?
Best regards!

it shows Successfully downloaded Clockworkmod recovery, but still can't enter
recovery mode,after that...I re-entry rom manager,it shows recovery broken~

Android on HD2 - home button

Welcome,
is it possible to install Android on HTC HD2 without using HOME button ? My HOME and PHONE buttons aren't working so I can't start Clockwork Recovery from clk. Is it any other way to do it ?
Or I need to pay for repair ?
Hmm.... i think it is not possible

change to magldr
But my phone/call button doesn't work too.
1. Press the 'Volume Down' button to goto Option 5: USB Flasher and press the 'Call' button (far left of the 5 hardware buttons at the bottom)
Edit: Isn't it possible to flash different parts of a ROM using fastboot?
Maybe you could flash a ROM like this :
Copy the files (your rom .zip) into the same folder you have the “Fastboot” program.
After flashing cLK and installing recovery, Open a CMD Window in your PC, and go to the directory where you have the “Fastboot” and the files you want to load into the phone.
Now enter the command as follows:
Code:
Fastboot erase system
Fastboot update Rom_Filename.zip
Reboot the phone
Code:
Fastboot reboot

Im not sure if this will work or not, it's just a theory, but you have nothing to lose

lol, cLK & MAGLDR are secondary bootloaders, there is no way to brick.
How about using your brain before making posts?
Code:
C:\Users\worms\Downloads\cLK_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0 - test\cLK_CWM_Rec
0.0\android-sdk-windows-lite>fastboot update nexus.zip
archive does not contain 'android-info.txt'
archive does not contain 'android-product.txt'
error: update package has no android-info.txt or android-product.txt
And that's all

[Q] Need Help Please

Hi everyone i have a htc hd2 here its running ice cream tostie V0.9_AOKP27
The touch screen seems to work when you want so im looking for a new rom but the volume keys dont work? I dont no if thats because of the rom i have got but looking for the newest release for the htc hd2 any rom if someone could direct me or help me out thanks
Check if your volume keys are working in clockworkmod, and if they are, flash a ROM of your choice.
Swyped from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
nope the volume keys dont work at all strange as many people have had the same problem is there a way of flashing via sd i have downloaded roms and tried to use through clockwork via sd but it just seems to boot up normal :S????

If your volume keys do not work, download the image of a touchscreen-based recovery and flash it using flash_image in ADB or Terminal. (flash_image recovery <file-name>
You can reboot to recovery if your ROM supports that as an option in the reboot menu, or through adb command (reboot recovery)
can u suggest a touch screen recovery program ?

Did you do anything to the phone that might of caused it to stop working? On mine i opened it and saw that the button on the ribbon that's pressed by the key was moved and it wasn't pressing it (Had to put a tiny piece of foil and tape). When you press it do you feel it kind of click or it doesn't feel like its pressing the button?
the buttons seems to be pressing down ok im just looking everywhere to try a find a solution

2 questions

Hello,
i have 2 question about HD2 with Android NAND
1. I cant make hard reset on the phone. I've tried factory rest form the menu, but after the restart, nothing is changed. How can i make hard reset in another way?
2. Is there a way to install Andorid ICS or Jelly Bean without working Volume buttons...
Thank you!
To master reset you have to go into recovery

you are pretty much stuck right where you are, unless you just happen to be running cLK with a touch recovery, and if you aren't already running cLK and touch recovery, you can't get them, because you need the volume buttons to install them.
Isnt there a PC program that i can use to install Andorid from the computer or any app that can map volume buttons to some of the hardware buttons on HD2?

There's always SD Android. I don't think it's possible to do much without working volume buttons.
Can i use both NAND and SD Andorid? How will choose which one to boot first?
Wait, sorry I didn't read the OP properly, you're already on NAND Android right? If so, then you're stuck on that ROM, SD Android requires power buttons when in MAGLDR.
use hd2 toolkit install clk and then over the hd2 toolkit touch recovery. use backbutton to boot into recovery.

oh sorry you need the volume buttons...
if you have something for trade we can trade http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1860554.
i think you have no way to get another rom...
You can install recovery without volume buttons, but you need CLK.
just flash the recovery via fastboot and viola touch recovery and theres your reset

[Q] Defunct power button, can't boot into MAGLDR?

I have a busted power button (end call button) and was wondering if I could boot into MAGLDR without it directly booting straight to android. I know that I'm supposed to press the power button at the MAGLDR boot sequence to reach the menu that lets me use CM recovery but I'm not able to do that. Is there any way in which I can install a new ROM on my phone without actually using MAGLDR and CM recovery? Or any other way to make me reach the MAGLDR menu screen?

You could try getting into the bootloader then flashing everything from scratch. To get into the bootloader without the power button I think you can take off the back cover and press the small reset button near the SD slot (using a pin or toothpick) while holding volume down. From there, if that actually works, you can flash a Task 29 followed by MAGLDR, CWM and a new ROM.
Or alternatively, there is an old legend that says "reboot into recovery" & "reboot into bootloader" from within Android let you reboot into MAGLDR, do you believe in legends?
(According to the scrolls, this legend may only be true if you have Android already installed obviously)
EDIT:
Actually, you can do that without having android working (e.g. you're stuck at the ROM splash screen or in a bootloop). Just use adb to reboot into recovery/bootloader and you should be in MAGLDR.
Apparently the scrolls were wrong.
You do realize that I mentioned that my power button was busted so it wasn't possible for me to boot into recovery through the power-restart prompt menu from within the ROM after booting. Or is there any other way to get that prompt from within the ROM? Infact from what I know, telling it to boot into recovery never did work on my HD2....I had to press the end call every time I wanted it to get to the MAGLDR menu.

And I did use adb before posting this here but it boots straight to Android. That doesn't work.

OP, reboot into recovery/bootloader never worked in MAGLDR. Those options only work in cLK. +1 to 'glad you got it working'.
