Nevermind. Sorry... Gave it thirty minutes and it turned on after pressing the button for about 60 seconds. LOL Sorry!

I've been using my rooted N2E for about 2 months. Today I go to wake it up, and it didn't want to wake up, just stayed on Walt Whitman's face. Then I try holding down the power button for 20 secs, still nothing. Then I try the power button and 'n' button for 20 secs, still nothing.
Any ideas on what I can do. Best as I can figure I'm left with trying to disassemble the thing that clearly wasn't meant to be taken apart or waiting a month until the battery dies. Thanks
Sorry just ran out of battery Not used to seeing a tablet with an image and zero power.
Hey all, I'm running a stock un-rooted Nexus 7 16gig tablet and I can't get it to turn on. It was on about 15 minutes ago, I decided to shut it down and reboot it, was having some wifi issues. I shut it down, waited a few minutes (got busy watching the Packer game which ended horribly) and went to go and turn it back on. Hit the power button and nothing. Tried a few mare times, pressing a little hard on the button and nothing. Then went and plugged it in, and nothing. Not charging screen, no light up, nothing.
Anyone have and thoughts? Pointers? Suggestions?
I'm at a loss.
Thanks,
Brocja01
press and hold the power button for about 20-25 seconds
Thats exactly what I needed to do. Crazy... Not sure why it wouldn't charge. Once it actually booted I was able to plug it in and it started charging. So Weird.

i dont think it was ever actually shut down. ive read often enough of people shutting down bit it caught in a state between shut down and powered off, displaying a black screen, but still actually off. if so, it makes sense that it wasnt charging. all the long press on the power button did was force reboot it.
So last night i turned my phone off like i usually do. Then when i try turning in on again this morning, it wouldnt. I held the power button for 30 sec, then 60 sec, then almost 2 minutes and still nothing is happening. Does anyone know how i can fix this? Its a Nexus 4 with Paranoid Android and Franco Kernel.

try holding volume down and long press the power button. this should take you to the bootloader. then press start to boot the phone up. did you have enough battery left?

Yep what you said to do worked. Thanks!:good:
Okay, here's the story. My Nexus 7 Gen 2 went into the water for half an instant. However, when I tried to turn it off immediately, it wouldn't turn off. I put it in a container of rice for a couple of days and eventually, it turned off - the battery died, I'm sure. Anyway, now, when I plug in the charger, I get the battery charging symbol, however, it will still not turn on. I've tried some of the button combos mentioned (hold power for 30 seconds, hold power and volume up for 15 seconds, hold power and volume down for 15 seconds, even hold power for 2 minutes), yet nothing seems to work. But as soon as I unplug it and plug it back in the charge symbol appears. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Ok I just updated the phone used it all day went to bed with 46 percent battery life. Plugged the charger in. I wake up and pushed the finger print scanner, nothing? Pressed the power button, nothing?
Any suggestions?
Try holding power button until boot. Had same issue my first day with phone.
It's back from the dead!
I changed usb cables and held the power button for about 15 seconds and it finally booted up. It was at full charge so it wasn't a cable issue.
I'm kind of getting used to this phone but it still has some quirkiness to it
good call
Wow ... exactly 15 seconds of the power button held and it booted. Nice call!
worked for me too!
