It doesn't help to reinstall It either..

Ah I see. You can flash an insecure kernel from the dev section then use something like S2 root or Superoneclick to root again.
First step would be to confirm Rom Manager works with SGS2 .
Second step would be to read the post you rooted from the bit where it says Rom Manager does not work .
jje
Im pretty sure sgs2 isnt compatible. Sgs2 should use cwm app.

No ****.. It was already rooted, and you would have seen that if the second picture was working
And it wasn't only rom manager that didn't work.
Anyways, I fixed it by re-rooting it

As for the second picture, all it shows is that you still had a stock kernal installed. Read the instructions properly next time.

Why are you using Rom Manager instead of the CWM app that comes with the recovery. I would do a little research before flashing anything with Rom manager.

The best bit of advice you can take from this thread is this: dont use rom manager with the sgs2, tbh it seems to cause more problems that it solves.
Its not fully compatible.
Rather Use the cwm app that installs with chainfires cfroot kernel.

well first you're in the wrong forum section. you should be in the sgs 4g section.
Secondly, make sure you're flashing a sgs 4g bali kernel instead of the vibrant 3g kernel.

You say that you flashed Bionix. Does it boot up before flashing Bali? Or do you just flash Bionix then immediately flash Bali?

flash CWM(You don't need root, just use the update.zip of CWM and do the reinstall packages on recovery)
Flash the rom. let it boot first before you flash the kernel just to be sure

You don't need root to flash the rom. Just have the CWM update.zip on your SD card and you'll be able to flash the rom from there. After you flash the rom you'll be rooted.

Hey guys I got a tweak from wolfs Rom working on my x10 that increases the signal greatly. Watch the how to video here. Works in all roms. (if you have Wolfs Rom this isnt necessary. He already has it)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jy0r-o1Bh9Q&feature=youtube_gdata_player
I now have over a 10000 kbps connection just like his in the video. Pretty cool.
First step unzip the file in your sd card then open the file via root explorer
Next go into system/etc/init.d and copy the modules script using root explorer.
Next go to your system on the actual phone (not the sd card) then go.to etc then find the folder called init.d. (if you dont have it flash this via recovery) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236446
Then place modules in the init folder.
Next go back to your sd card where the 4.0.4 thing is and go into system*etc and copy the entire. Install sh recovery folder then go back to the actual phone and go to.system/etc and just paste it there and select yes if it asks u to overwrite something.
Finally find the install recovery thing
you just copied and click it once and press execute.
Then your done.
How to test if it worked. Before u do the tweak download speed test from the market and test your current wifi speed. After tweak test it again. Note it may require a reboot.
Get it here. http://www.datafilehost.com/get.php?file=a18d42a6

you do realize that overwriting install-recovery.sh will overwrite any other init.d scripts the person might have and also any tweaks put in there by the dev (if you are using it on any other rom than wolfbreaks)?
You shouldn't be advising people to do stuff like this without at least warning them about what they're doing.

I do not think that this is fair.
Chainfire invented the app, but one brave device owner followed a procedure discovered by other device owner, and a third device owner made the app. Its ours swet and effort.
I understand that Chainfire is awesome and deserves that kind of respect, but if you follow that rule you should ask permission to make the kernel installer for all developers wich already did it. Just do not makes sense.

That is outrageous. Iirc, the entire method of resetting the counter was discovered by chainfire. We all just modify the codes according to the devices.

Hi guys,
I have installed Cyanogenmod but now I don't really like it on my s4 and I was wondering if there is anyway for me to get back the stock rom when I first got the device. I have been searching everywhere online for a solution but I can't seem to find anything.
Thanks

Let me get this straight, you researched enough how to install a custom ROM but don't know where to look to return to stock?

In the future, know the return to stock procedures and/or where to find the directions.

You are a liar, if you performed even the most basic search for your question you would have easily found the answer. In fact you would have found the answer in the installation instructions for CyanogenMod as it states to make a backup. You could have then restored your backup.
At least one person actually answered the question, instead of just being an a-hole...

i assume you are referring to myself and others. while i now regret the awful post i previously made, there is no going back and changing things; whats done is done. i just hope in the future i can refrain from such loathsome actions, and that we can all get along and learn to love one another.
/sarcasm.
...and use the damn search function.

I just flashed CM 10.1 on my ATT s4 and now the google voice search does not work. It also will not work when 3rd party apps try to access it. Anyone else having this problem?

I see this has been asked repeatedly but I have attempted to remove the cyanogen mod and return to factory. I put my phone in download mode but odin isn't finding it. I know the process to get back to factory but not understanding why it's not connecting. Using Cyanogenmod 10.2 w/CWM v6.0.4.5
