Also The program has an internal menu in Georgian, and I can't see Georgian symbols. But when I disable in settings HTC-Sense (phone skin)
Then I see symbols. What can I do HTC-Sense recognize Georgian symbols?

does an english wizard have the same physical keyboard (letters in the same positions) than an italian or french or german wizard?
Are the keyboards all the same?
thanx
nope.. T-Mobile germany's keyboards are QWERTZ:
http://www.mobilewhack.com/images/T-Mobile-MDA-Vario.jpg
While here's a French AZERTY:
http://www.smartphonefrance.info/img/Qtek9100-05.jpg
well...i need to know the italian and the english...do they match?
as far as letter and number keys go, yes - IT and EN are both:
QWERTYUIOP
ASDFGHJKL
ZXCVBNM
There may be some difference in the other keys, due to the italian language making use of extended letters a lot (thus putting them on the keyboard would be useful for users of it).
Haven't spotted a picture of an IT one yet
if the underlying question is: Can I use an english ROM with an italian device? The answer is : yes. You will find other posts that explain what registry changes will let you map correctly the keyboard. Like in France we use AZERTY keyboards, so making the correct registry changes, we can use our french keyboard and use the A key and get an A instead of a Q
yes but the problem is that in italian qwerty there are buttons for à,è,é,ò,ì,ù ...very used letter in my language...i just wonder if on english qwerty these letters/button ar present and primary.
Its' the same in French! If you have an italian device and if you update correctly the registry you should have all keys functionning as before. I've not tested it yet on my phone (still a french ROM) but I do it on my PC: french keyboard and english OS. I can use all the accented letters like if I were using a French keyboard with a French OS. I don't see why it should be otherwise on the PPC.
i can't explain...sorry!
what I mean is if the letter/button "è" (for instance) is NOT PHISICALLY present/written on the phisycal qwerty english tkeyboard BUT it is present ( and IT IS PRESENT because I use it everyday) on the italian qwerty...this answers to my question
Not quite sure what you are looking for exactly. Anyway, maybe this will help:
go to \HKCU\ControlPanel\Keybd
There should be a "Locale" string value. If it's not there create it! and give it the value "0410"
To get the accented letters like e
press e
then the blue dot (left bottom corner)
then the space bar
I hope I'm making sense.Good luck!
:x
He's asking whether the keys are physically there on the slide-out keyboard. I.e. is there a little label / sticker with "è" on it?
There isn't one the English version (you can still get that character by means of the Sym key in combination with the 'e' key).
just to add confusion to this problem.
i have a t mobile MDA and a frien has a O2 mini and the keyboard layout is different on both. the Mini gets the benefit of a '£' sign whilst i have to get the electronic keyboard out for this. i suppose i could do a reg edit, anyone know how???
Hi everybody,
On my Orange SPV M700 (a customized version of HTC Trinity) I can’t get the accented characters option to work in the Letter Recognizer. I am studying German and therefore ä, ö, ü are very important to me. Also, the Letter Recognizer is my most favourite mode of character input.
I have checked the option for activating the accented characters under input settings, but it still doesn’t work.
When I enter any accented character it seems like the M700 draws the character but then immediately erases it (when I say immediately, I mean in milliseconds - its barely visible).
I have done a lot of research on the web and found postings from people with the same problem, but no solution.
Thanks for your help.
Same problem here with croatian letters: š, č, ć, ž and đ.
Try the PCM Keyboard found here http://pocketcm.com/keyboard2.php it can be customised to suit your needs it also has many keyboards already set fro many differen languages.
I find it really good.
Thanks, but I have the problem with the Letter Recognizer - the handwriting recognition tool that I like to use most for inputting characters.

Click to collapse
Go to www.sunnysoft.cz to download the Interwrite Small application that will certainly help you with š, č, ć, ž. However, I am not sure about the đ. It will give you the keyboard and enable the Letter Recognizer to write the characters.
However, this soft does not solve my problem, because my Letter Recognizer does not want to write the accented characters such as ä, ö, ü that it normally should when the "Allow Accented Characters" option is checked in the Letter Recognizer Options. As I said before, when I use the precribed way, the characters appear for a milisecond and then dissappear.
Problem solved. I installed both Penreader Czech Language Support for Windows Mobile Pocket PC (http://www.penreader.com/pocket-pc/...zech_Download_area_for_Language_Extender.html) as well as Sunnysoft InterWrite Small, version 9.1 CZ (http://www.sunnysoft.cz/software.php?idarticle=257) and now can input all kinds of accented characters - more than I will ever need.
HEllo can somebody help me...?
I have install the program Touchpal by my HTC diamond...
But Im turkish en dutch and I have install the dutch language pack but now I can't type in turkish... I will Disable the T9 but there is nothing to turn off the T9 in touchpal...
Can somebody help me please....???
don't know what you mean, but if you install the language pack for TouchPal you shouldn't be having that kind of problem. i don't think T9can be disabled in TouchPal because it's built into it and I've never seen an option to disable it. go to CooTek.com and ask in the forum there maybe they can solve your problem.
You can turn of T9 by going into the options tab, and uncheck "disable word prediction"
Slide downward on the first 'tab' ("abc") and you will see the various languages you've installed there. Pick the one you want, i.e. Turkish or Dutch. Then do the same when you wish to switch to another language.
To me it just sounds weird...
You've installed touchpal but dont want the T9 functionality?
You may as well just use a normal keyboard/keypad?
Even the diamond keyboard (from this forum) has a layout called "Compact Qwerty" which is the Touchpal layout, you might as well use that? Theres a "ABC/T9" button on the keyboard.
There is an option "Enable mixed language input". I checked it and know i can type in english and dutch without changing the dictionary. Hope it helps.
Of course you can disable t9 in TouchPal O_O slide up the "Enter" key. This toggles predictive input.
Thanks It's done i have disable the T9 thanks a lot ....
Toggling T9 mode
Slide the "spacebar" left or right to toggle T9 on/off. Enjoy!
I have been using my xperia for about a month now and when I bought it, it came with a memory card to help install Arabic. The software is called Multilingual Support 3.0 from MoBiDIV.
I have it on "English with Arabic enabled" because I only need to read Arabic messages and do not want the menu in Arabic. This is all fine except sometimes when I am typing an SMS in English, the language randomly changes to Arabic and I do not know how to change it back so I have to shut the device off and switch it on again for it to go back to English input.
If anyone can tell me how to change it back to English without having to restart the phone, I would appreciate it because it is becoming very annoying. I do not need to type in Arabic and the keypad does not have Arabic letters on it anyway. If I have to type in Arabic, I can use the virtual keyboard installed.
Sorry for my long post, hope someone can help.
is your text alignment in the program set to context? and did u change the regional settings and the settings in the program to english uk? if so i cant see a reason for it to change to the right side..i have the same thin?
Yeah, it is set to context and my regional settings is set to English (New Zealand) because I like the time to be 12-hour.
It doesn't happen every time, but sometimes when I am in the middle of a message it changes to Arabic which leads me to believe that it must be some sort of keyboard shortcut such as (alt+enter) but I haven't figured it out.
I think you accidentally press the Arabic key board switch in the middle of the msg (3een)
I too have xperia with arabic Multilingual Support 3.0 from MoBiDIV
I just faced this problem today. mine is the latest ROM update. i only reinstalled MoBiDIV from the 128mb MiroSD card i got when i first bought my xperia. i found that when you press the blue function key then the shift button (fun+shift) the keyboard switchs to arabic and you can't go back to english.
the only things you can do is lock the shift key where you can have all the english litters in CAPITAL and if you unlock the shift key you'll returne to arabic
i didn't try soft reset i just disabled the arabic support restart and then re enabled arabic and i'm back to normal.
Hi everyone...
I'm new in the WM world so i'm asking for your help:
How do I get PCM Keyboard to work in Portuguese?
I tried the 0.14, with a portuguese layout I found on the web (the only one I found!!!) and iphone skin... it works but... it has some bugs:
- missing the "_" in the layout
- when I try typing the name of a contact in a SMS so I would normally get the contact suggestion, the list only appears when a click on backspace button (ex.: I want to send a SMS to John, I type "J" (nothing appears), I continue typing "JO" (still nothing), then I click on the backspace button (and ONLY THEN, a suggestion list appears).
I installed the new version (0.24) but it's impossible to find a portuguese layout!!!
Any portuguese in the room (or others you may know where I can find the files I need...)?
Thank you so much!
