I have the same exact "issue". At first I was worried, but when I realized that it does not affect functionality in any way I stopped worrying.
It's in the lower left part on the bezel below the screen and it manifests as a bit of a flex when I press that part a bit harder. The screen is not loose, it just flexes a bit under the finger.

i am starting to worry about general build quality...
and still no response from samsung.

that is a manufacturers defect. you should be able to return and exchange it.

something weird

go to the home screen and have your finger sliding to the next home screen but do it at an angle and do it toward the bottom of the screen and move your finger down to the four buttons and you can flip homescreens with your finger on the buttons . still detects your finger moving when its not even touching the the screen really ,

Lol that's cool but not weird

its designed like that. Technically the touch sensitive part of the screen goes all the way down past the buttons.

Does your screen sit flush with the edges?

My screen doesnt sit flush with the edges of the phone and I am wondering if this is a common trait of the phone.
At the top left of the screen it actually does sit flush. If I run my finger across the screen to the left and off the edge, I can't feel any edge.
Anywhere else on the screen, when I slide my finger across the screen and off the edge I can feel the lip of the edge .
Its as if either the top left of my screen is sitting out more than it should, or the rest of my screen is a bit too far in.
Is your screen flush with the edges?
Mine's recessed all the way around.

I have a tiny lip around the whole edge of the phone.
I got a lip on the right hand side of the phone. And no lip going round from the right side edge

the left side of my screen is flush, the right side has a lip. It bothers me sometimes.
I don't think screen is gonna fall out. It seems fitted tightly
I got a little groove on the screen at the bottom so I could pop screen put then pop it back in.
Don't think ill bother tho just in case lol

Mine is the same way. I considered returning it but decided against, since it was pretty minor and didn't affect functionality.
i've a gap on the right but nothing on the left, the "doubled" lip at the top and bottom bothers me a bit more i think

Guys, look at the casing. The screens the same height all around (and this is on purpose for reasons such as setting it face down on a table), but the casing is different. On the sides vs bottom.

That wouldnt explain there being an edge sticking out on the right side of the phone but not on the left side

Creaks on back (left side)

Hello,
my Nexus 4 creaks when I press left side on back cover:
Video:
http://youtu.be/LlZRw1i2TuA
No drops, used only in bumper (s-line)...
Has anyone the same problem?
Can I use guarantee in this case?
Nope I don't have this problem.
Sent from my Nexus 4
I had the same clicking problem but on the bottom and with the front glass.
I found a permanent fix for this common problem here on xda:
- Unloose the two screws on the bottom but half a turn.
- press firmly on the bezel to notch it back in
- while keeping a reasonable pressure, tighten the screws again.
Hope this fixes it even if you don't have the exact the same issue.

I have the same problem, but on the bottom right. It squeaks everytime I press on it. Will wait till my OCD takes over to open it up.

I'm pretty sure my tip above will fix your problem.
You just need a small Phillips screwdriver and unloose the screws a little.

No problem, just wanna help
But the truth is: you can unscrew about 10 full turns before the screw comes off, all you need here is one half of a turn and re-screw.
No tech knowledge required, as easy as installing a screen protector.

Rectangular smudge near the back button

Hi
I have an sm-n900...
I can see a rectangular smudge near the back button. It is almost the same dimensions as the back button but not completely coinciding with it. Its top edge is a little below the back button top edge.
If I clean with a cloth, it is not visible anymore. But once I start touching the back button, it becomes visible again.
Someone else seing this ? Is it some kinda sensor ? Seing it irritates me !!! Maybe coz I spend a lot of money on the phone.
Sent from my SM-N900 using xda app-developers app
capacitive sensor, it's on the menu button as well! can only be seen under special circumstances, but everyone has it! on my note2 it was a little more visible, till now I had 5 note3's and all of them looked equal to me in this regard (although other big differences, especially in screen quality)!
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Hi
Well it cannot be seen for the menu button. But it is very much visible for the back button. And it becomes visible as soon as I touch it. Why should it be visible only for the back button...
Are you saying that it is visible on all the units ? Well let me see if I can get hold of another piece and see.
Sent from my SM-N900 using xda app-developers app
Huh? Hang on. *nicks magnifier* Yep, it's there.
Hi
What exactly are you talkin bout ?
Why is it that the same thing is not visible over the "menu" button ?

Bent screen

No I do not own a flex
Anyway when I put it screen down on a flat surface and touch the corners it starts rocking.
How to describe better.
One finger on left upper, one on the right down corner and touching once up once down. (Or the opposite corners, has to be diagonal)
If you have the same issue, your should feel it.
It does not distort the screen, but not sure it won't get worse in the future.
Anyone else encountered this?
Sent from my LG-D802 using Tapatalk
I have this but it's because I manually replaced my screen and did not have something to put in so t wouldn't rock but since I use a case that covers the bezel it's not a problem

In my case it's the glass that's bent. Not like it's lifted, but deformed. Not sure how it really happened. Maybe the original quick window cover... or just having it in my pants

Maybe heat? or probably sat on it that made one side of the screen cave in? lol
Always have it in the front more like the heat... btw I would not even notice it.. just by accident I tapped one corner and it was not touching the table...
