Hello to all my HTC HD2 fans. I'm hearing that you can get the W7 rom on the HD2. I've seen a few videos on Youtube, but noone really shows how to do it, step by step.. So my question is, can someone help me install the FULL version of W7, with the Market place working, Internet working & with everything working?? Is there a real step by step video out cause reading these treads aren't working for me. Anyone with a webcam that can help?? I'm still using Windows 6.5, like a loser..

I have been trying to pimp out my HTC touch dual but im a full on dummy. Can someone please explain a step by step guide explaining how to and the
meanings of terminology nessecary for the following. I have a HTC Touch dual(Nike/Niki100) and a video tutorial would be so much easier and clearer if anyones dares to make one . I am a beginner and would appreciate clear help/tutorial/insight.
1) I want upgrade my orange branded HTC touch dual to windows mobile 6.5....atm HTC will not let me upgrade to 6.1 from there website as it is an orange branded phone. (I dont like the orange customizations on my phone)
2)I would like that amazing new interface on my phone i think its called the Manilla 2D 2.0 its the one from the New HTC Touch2/Mega phone thats really colourful.
3) I would like to unlock my phone so i can put in a vodafone sim atm im using a turbo sim which temperorily unlocks my phone. i found this site... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730 but again all the language is confusing and i don't want to brick my phone!
4) I would like advice on the best software out there....
i.e. skyfire and opera instead of internet explorer.
Youtube application.
TCPMP with all the nessecary packs so it lets me play videos without sound errors etc.
Asphalt 4 which is amazing etc.
5) i want my HTC touch dual at its optimum ability, tweaks like making the touchscreen more sensitive, and to speed it up. I want people to have the best touch duals they possibly can. Hope someone makes a clear video tutorial on how to do this.
**please clearly break down terminology if you are using it i.e. SPL, HARD SPL, COOKED ROM, KITCHEN, CID/SID, BOOT LOADER, FLASHING. i tried learning them but when i actually try upgrading it all becomes jibberish again lol. id rather stick to lehmans terms.**

1. I have a uk unlocked htc hd2 i seen information on you can add custom firmwares can someone please tell which custom fw is best for a uk hd2 is there a list that tells you what each fw does..
2. also you can mod the hd2 5mp cam to 8mp and the wifi to 802.11n is that right if so how do you do it.
3. which is the best satnav on sd card to use.
4. are there gotchas i need to know about with the htc hd2.
just sold my ip3gs was going to get the desire but hd2 will do till evo 4g is generally out can someone tell me exactly how many apps are there for wm that i can run on my hd2 im after a good fitness app, satnav, pdf reader, music player hope you can help out and thanks
1. Read the tutorials stickied at the top of the ROM section on how to do it. ROMs will have the features listed in thier respecitve threads
2. you cant upgrade the camera, which phone lets you? but you can enable N wireless. check the tips n tricks bit and there is a registry edit to do it.
3. i have herd good things about iGo 8 i think

i dont think there are any, other ppl have issues, but im very content with it flash a good rom, and you will love it! just please o please, use the search function and read everything fully till you understand!
instal bsb tweak. there u can tweak the camera to get better quality pics.
i use igo8. works like a charm.

Well, looking for a way to get back to good-old WM 6.5. Can I reflash with WM 6.5 cooked ROM? I've installed WP7 and I can't do squat with it. It's like an iPhone... locked. There is no tethering so I can't share my connection with my laptop. No file manager - everything is dependent on LIVE and you can't boot Andriod.
i've checked and it's worked well on my phone....easy to flash the rom.thx to DFT

Anyone know how to get back to WM6.5?
WM7 works great, but lacks WiFi-Router, Flash browser, direct SD access from Windows Explorer for file transfer, Live doesn't work yet and you can't add any applications to it. Don't try it until they get the Live connection working or MS decides to allow free access to marketplace without restrictions.

Is the HD2 the first device to run the most mobile OSs?
I have just loaded an Android ROM onto my HTC HD2 and its working really well. Thanks for all the info on this site. Now my friend who has a HTC HD Mini has asked me to android it aswell. Can i follow the same procedure i used for my HD2 or do i have to use the alternative method. Many thanks

Would just like to say a BIG thankyou for this rom, I spent yesterday installing it, also dual booting Android, had to save the partition onto my hdd, then instal wp7, then re-do the partitions, then re create the Android side, then copy the patition back over to the new Partition, all working really well, nice and smooth, battery life much much better. Would be interested in any further developments in this area.
this ROm is quite good at battery. I think it's the best among BTF, HD2O and it. But the multi touch isn't good. As my experience, the multi touch in BTF is the best.

Agreed, when pinching and zooming pictures its quiet annoying bt battery life is amazing
and for that reason i WILL stick to this for now
i have problem installing this rom
after i install it it stop on the dft screen and restarting
and do that more and more

Bluetooth Module in this ROM is not compatiable with my car. There is no such problem in HD2O's v1.22.
The ROM is awesome, best one I had on my HD2, but I have an issue with YouTube - founds videos and all but when I try to play them, they can't load. Hadn't tried anything with YouTube app from Marketplace because hadn't activated yet.

For me it's interesting. I'm using v3 version. I tried to install Apps through a software (wAppMarket or sg like that) and the problem was the same like you all written 1000 times. It stopped around 60%. So I just belived that there is a bug.
But some days ago I activated my WP7 (called the MS CS), and tried to download apps from the Market. And I'm supprised that everything is working. How come???
