Is it possible to restore all your apps back to SD DIRECTLY, instead of going into internal memory and then SD?

Hi!
I see that some of the apps are in sd card (application manager -> sd card). But I didn't move thwm there.
1. How Android decides what apps where should be installed?
2. Are there any downsides installing apps to sd card? Except the fact that apps won't be available when sd card is removed.
3. Will progress of my games and settings of my apps will be saved in sd card after apps are reinstalled after factory reset?
Thanks!!

1) by size. Don't know the exact but as an example if an app is bigger than 100mb then it is installed on the external sd.
2) The one you stated plus the fact that the internal memory is quite faster than the external card.
3) I think no. Except for apps that use an account or the internet for saves, you are gonna need an app like titanium backup to restore apps data.
Hi. I have downoaded an official lollipop update today 5.0.1. I thought that lollipop would automatically grant all my apps a full access to SD card.
Apps with the biggest amount of data in my device are (I have only 16 GB version of S4 so internal memory is very precious in this model):
1. colordictionary (takes 1,5 GB of internal memory - indexed dictionaries folder)
2. App backup and restore (takes 1,5 GB of internal memory - data backup folder)
3. google translator (takes 1 GB of internal memory - offline dictionaries)
Through application manager I have moved all those apps to SD card. The problem is that the main data folders of those apps are still in the internal memory.
I tried to move those data folders to SD card through My files but the apps were not able to access their folder on SD card.
my question:
How could I grant those apps to have a full acceess to my SD card? (without root of course)

I don't think you can without root. Google made lollipop so that you can't move apps to sd card as far as I know. Apps need the data to be on the internal memory. Otherwise they won't work. If you move the data., the app will try to download the data again, to the internal memory.
The only way is, if you're rooted, with apps like Folder Mount.
complete back up or image on rooted note4 -&- how to install apps on external sd.
Hi,
I am looking for the best way to get a full back up of my phone, as per the Iphones, backed up through I tune.
In other words, how can I have/save an image of my note4, rooted already, and restore just in case?
Back up can be saved to the external sd card or PC.
Can it be done with titanium backup or any other app?
Anyone can explain how/which way can I use Titanium backup for that??
Also,
how can I use my external sd card to install by default all my apps, so I do not use the internal memory??
How to swipe the already installed apps to external sd card?
Thank you for your help !!
I'm on a Redmi 3S with 16 GB internal storage which runs on unofficial version of LineageOS by Fedosis. I was not using an SD card, hence everything was in the internal memory itself.
As the app and app data is getting huge, I wanted to move this to an external storage. So I got a 32 gig SD card. While setting up the card, I used the option "as internal memory". After installation I could not access my phone memory. And when I rebooted to recovery via TWRP, I cannot see this SD card. Only thing I could see was phone memory. So it's kind of a complication to flash apps.
So I again formatted the SD card and set it up "as portable memory". Now I can access the phone memory normally and in TWRP also. But when I try to move the apps, [eg: Hearthstone, Flamingo, etc] it says, it's not possible.
So, how should I set up my new SD card, so that I can move the existing apps into it and also install new apps to the same SD card?
format as internal storage and then go to appsettings and manually move them to external memory. but this isnt supported by all apps.
to flash something with twrp than, you have to put the file you want to flash into /data/media/0/TWRP

Hello.
I have a Moto G4 and it has SD card formatted as internal and so some of the apps and data is physically on the SD card. The total system+apps+data storage is approximately 15GB and the internal memory of the phone is less than 15GB, hence I have the SD card formatted as internal.
I am currently running LineageOS 14.1 on the device. My questions is that if I backup the ROM and all its apps and data in TWRP recovery and later restore it on the same device but with SD card not formatted as internal, would this work? where would the apps+data which exceed phone's internal memory be saved?
Thanks
