Edit....ohhhh, Binary beat me to it lol
umm, you can also enable the batter percentage to show on stock cm, go into settings, cm settings, interface, status bar tweaks and enable battery percentage.

I'm just wondering if it's possible to somehow either rebuild the framework-res.apk with these images replaced. (I have absolutely no knowledge of apk signing)
Or even easier, if you could just replace the framework-res with the Captivate one.
I like the fact that it changes color based on the battery level, one of my few gripes with the Vibrant.
Someone needs to fix the fact that the battery meter shows 75% when you're at 40% ACTUAL battery.

That's always been a slight issue with Android devices in my experience. Maybe not quite so drastic though.
I just dislike that the battery indicator is blue from full to dead. Doesn't give much of a gauge for when you're getting too low.
The Captivate's is not like this, it shows orange and red at lower levels.
I also think it's unusual that the MMS notification is white on the Captivate and yellow on the Vibrant. Just one of those amusingly odd things I noticed.
Here ya go, just flash with clockwork, should work no problem
EDIT: Needs a little more work

Haha, didn't even see the original upload, but it's probably a good thing, reflashing back down to stock with Odin and getting back to my nandroid has become one of my least favorite passtimes. DX
there are themes that do this... flash the black bar mod from the themes... its the easiest way for you to change it...
if you want i can teach you how to do it yourself and send you everything you need to do it...

I only want to change the battery icon, and specifically to the Captivate version, I like having the blue battery icon when full, but I just want it to change at lower levels.

ditto, exactly how I feel, until we get a CM5/6 or similar build that will display battery % in the status bar.
cheers, =)
+1 for this, or at least to have our battery icon read a little bit more accurately...
Just threw together a quick morph of the stock Vibrant battery icons. I actually measured the available space in the icon and figured how much each percentage would be (10, 20, 40, 60, 80). Only issue I can see is I don't know at what percentages the phone changes icons (ie. 20% icon at actual 20% or another close percentage).
I've tested it to make sure the morph applies, but haven't fully tested to see how accurate the icons are (but my calculations were done/correct).
....and yes, I seriously did measure out each percentage.

Dude! You win!
Well, sort of. That still didn't fix the colors. But I may be able to work with this.
I replaced the 10 and 20% images with those from the Captivate stock rom.
My battery hasn't made it that low, so I'm not sure if it worked.
But here's hoping.
Everything else about the morph is the same. I have no intentions of stealing thunder for your work. Nor do I know how to edit anything else within the zip.
Awesome! Thanks, would it be possible to get a revert file?

You'll have to run that by someone with knowledge of how Metamorph works.
Like I said, I simply copy-pasted my way into getting the color changing battery icon. Also, I still haven't burned my battery low enough to know if it actually worked. XD
No problem, guys. If I had time last night, I would've grabbed the Captivate icons and used those. But it was late and the wife wanted to go to bed.
Revert would just need the stock icons pulled from the system dump and pasted in the file. If I have time I'll do that tonight......asking with another MM idea.

I'd love to do this, but I am hesitant to do so without being able to go back to stock if something goes wrong - without re-flashing my entire backup.
Has anyone had the time to come up with the stock replacement yet?

You could just push the framework-res.apk back from a stock ROM image and reboot. That will put you back where you started. Not quite as easy as MetaMorph, but not really hard either.
Meant to work on a revert morph last night, but had other stuff going on. I'll do it tonight.
Revert morph for the battery icons.
*not tested, but just pasted stock icons into my other morph.
Any idea what could be wrong, since my droid pro is showing only full percentage numbers on battery. I only see 10%, 20%, 30% and nothing in between like 21%,22%,23%. I installed many different battery apps and they all act the same.
I just got the phone second hand and runing 2.1
tnx

Since 3.8.7 it will show single percentages on third party apps.

I have 3.8.7 and i tried three apps to show percentage in status bar, but they all show only full numbers. Do you have any app that works for you? I don't mind if it's not showing in status bar, just to check true batt life
Overall, luv the phone
tnx

Minimalistic Text did it for me.
Can't vouch for any others.
Hey guys.
I've done my best to do lots of homework as I've slowly hacked my way into Continuum territory. I've spent a couple hours researching this and tried a couple zips and had to restore my phone.
Basically, I'm trying to get a percentage battery display instead of the battery icon in the top right notification bar, so I can see the battery level. I've looked at UOTKitchen, I even tried a Fascinate zip that did the same thing, but no dice.
Is there an easy way of doing this? I've been googling for a long time and can't find anything on this for the continuum specifically.
Thanks!
Let me add, I've rooted and flashed the Adrynaline DL17 clean ROM.
I got it working, I'll upload it later xP

Don't mean to pester Trailblazer. Just wanted to make sure you were replying to this thread and not on another so I know where to search. Thanks.
Lmao, the percentage battery mod has been uploaded in the theme section for like a week xP lol go check it out

Found it and applied the zip. Couple questions:
1) Looks like the GB theme contains the accurate battery mod. Is it possible to keep Adrynaline's clean DL17 ROM look and then apply the no clock and battery mods (and have the battery icon remain the standard blue)?
2) I've also seen a battery mod for Fascinate that has a circle with a meter on it, and the circle changes colors as the battery drains. Is this possible for the Continuum? If you google "samsung fascinate accurate battery life" several links come up with examples.
Thanks for your thoughts. Let me know how I can return the favor.

Yeah, I can create an accurate battery touchwiz theme... No Problem
I could do that too, i just personally think that's ugly If a lot of people want it (and will actually keep it! ) Then i will do it
and just stick with this phone, that's all i can ask
EDIT: Go check out my thread in the theme section Just for you
Applied the zip. At first it was working, but after charging last night, it's stuck on 100%?
hmm... That's kinda weird... If it worked before, it should continue to work!
I'll take a look though!
Couple things I noticed that may help. It seems to freeze at one number. So for a while it was at 100. Then 80, later at 35. I think they changed during reboots of the phone, but not during every reboot.
I applied the Touchwiz zip over the top of the GB theme. Should that work? Would I need to reflash the whole ROM and then apply?
THanks trailblazer!
EDIT: Watched it a bit closer today. It went from 100 to 80, then 65, when I woke up this morning it was 35...looking at the actual battery level though, those are only rough estimates. It seems like it is probably using the default Touchwiz battery levels, rather than the full accurate percentage.
Just to be sure, I flashed the clean ROM again. Still same issues.
Is there any way to make battery in status bar show percentage without installing 3rd apps? Having GB, LB1 stock with root.

it's there in ICS, never found out-of-box in GB without using app.
Search for UOT Kitchen. It is a website where you can customize certain parts of your ROM like battery.
You have to upload certain files though. He instructions are thorough. Read it on the website. There is an XDA thread somewhere here about it too.
I have successfully changed my battery indicator on stock rooted GB.
Remember to make a Nandroid before doing anything.

I'm on GB and use Badass Battery Monitor. For the rest I wait for ICS to come for my Note.
Unforunately no,I have to go all the time to Settings > About > Status to check it out.
Hi guys, i just want to ask if there's a mod to add the percentage symbol (%) next to the battery percentage number for cm10.1.
I've searched alot for this mod, but i've only found some useless stuff
It'll be great if somebody can help me!
Thanks
Look in the Settings->System, the feature is there. I can not tell by heart, where it is, but surf around, it is there.
I want to add the % symbol

I'm searching for a mod that adds the % symbol between the percentage number and the clock on the statusbar. Here in the screenshot you can see that i've already enabled battery percentage in the statusbar.

No need to search for a mod, the feature is already built-in in CM10.1.
Although it seems you got it solved already.
Note for the future, all questions and help requests go to the Q&A section, not General.

You don't understand what i'm asking. I am trying to add the % SYMBOL on the statusbar on cm10.1.
But don't worry about that, it's not quite important at the moment.
Thanks anyway for the answers
I recommend you to use Super Jelly Bean, it's light, fast, stable and has battery percentage
