Hi i'm sebastiano, can someone help me pls?
i've buyed an htc p3450 with windows 6 , but i don't know the id and other codes.
i only know theese: ipl 2.20.0002
spl 1.11.0000
this morning i tried to change original rom with onyx 5.6
i've made this things:
i've installed cert.spcs.cab and enablerapi.cab
after using ELF_USPL_2.26.0000 i made the procedure for charge rom
and all were ok.
after i used the new os and its worked good. i made an hard reset before using definitively it. but after 10 minutes the system didn't start yet.
It run the image of Tim Operator and shut down.
The boot loader work now. i tryed to reinstall the sistem, the procedure finish without problem but when the system try to initialize the new rom , display the tim logos and after shut down..
someone know what i do and why system not reboot?
i read that i need the original italian rom for retry all my operations..but i don't know hot to find the id of my precedent rom...
pls help me

yes it's surely elf because on the box the name is htc p3450/3452 Ita S
so elf isn't S i think is the xl model
now i'm going out, but if you can help me to know what is the problem, tomorrow we can meet again
i want to remove tim's brand and i will put in a good rom with large buttons

You can search the forum I m sure u will definetly find the correct english ROM for your model.Dont install the other models ROM...bymistake
Make sure its a NOVID i.e NO VENDOR ID. other wise you will get stuck at the BOOT Screen indicating just IPL SPL.
Make sure which MODEL YOU have is it G3 or G4.

make sure the ROM is WWE i.e World Wide English.
AnD finally make sure to backup all imp data before u FLASH.
Dont EVER UNPLUG THE Data Cable while in upgrade ..it might seem to be stuck at 2~3 times during flash.(around 80~90% of upgrade)

Mine is a G4 model and I get an invalid vendor id message.How can I overcome this error message.I tried serching .I am stuck !!!!!!!
Thanks a lot to XDA..I finally was able to change language by flashing the ROM. .I faced a few hiccups but soon got over them.The flashing with the No Vendor Id went flawlessly.
can u download a Super CID form SD-memory on Bootloader for whom couldnt enter the WM and make "ActiveSync" On.?

What do you use to get the ROM to the device? - do u use custom RUU? Because it can load the ROM to your device if it is connected to the PC by USB and if it is in bootloader mode. (If your tri-color screen says USB on the bottom it should work. You do not need AS to flash a ROM.
Edit: forget it - I just noticed that Elf CID unlocker needs working AS. However you can try to flash a ROM with matching CID (from your provider - i.e. if you have Orange branded elf use Orange ROM, Tmob Elf TMob ROM...) - that should revive your device. After that you can supercid it from working WM6 environment.

Where did you buy the phone? Orange? T Mobile? Directly HTC Branded?
That should give you a hint which ROM is of matching CID for the device. E.g. official HTC ROM will not work on my Orange branded Hermes - I need Orange ROM to upgrade.
If you changed the spl your device would probably be dead - you should not even be able to see the bootloader screen. Moreover there is no bootloader with your version number for Hermes. If the bootloader identifies device correctly (does it say something like Elf?). then you should be running original Elf bootloader.

What does your bootloader screen say? If you had a Hermes ROM flashed in - it should say:

I know...
But to use Pof's unlocker you need to run sspl and that thing needs AS which needs functional WM in turn...
You should be able to flash CID matching ROM - ideal case would be the ROM device came with. Are there any clueas on the device - ie is it branded somehow?

Try to look for saudi arabia shipped ROMs for Elf on the forum - that gives you better chances than tweaking the bootloader.

That is question for Elf owners/users. I can only tell you that SPL/IPL numbers you provided are not for Hermes - you can check it here and here.
As you can see the highest SPL version numbers for Hermes are 1.11 and then it jumps directly to 2.something, highest IPL version for Hermes is 1.04.
You can ask ELf users what Elf IPL/SPl number should be.
What is written above SPL number in your device?

I still think that you have a proper origianl Elf bootloader on your device. It is a pity you did not back your ROM up before flash. You can try to find some saudi arab members of this forum, they can tell you which operators are in the country so looking for your ROM may be simpler. Otherwise I can only suggest you to try all official Elf ROMs you can find until there will be a match. You can be sure that your device does not have CID of ROM you tried to flash.

Elf wiki does not have shipped ROMs part filled. Here is the link.
Ok lets try to look for your original ROM:
What was the ROM language - english, arabic...
Was the arabic enabled - i.e. could you write in arabic without added software?
Is there any brand name on your Elf (on the surface of the phone - I have Orange logo there so maybe you have some lead too)

Unfortunatedly I´ve chosen the wrong one (strange order of links) because after installing the rom The Device comes up with the warning descriped in the post ... and what´s worst and actually my Problem:
The device resets each time during the "customization", reboots and tries to do the custom again.
It resets even when I try to install another rom ... no tricolor screen or anything!
So the device is now running an unusable OS and I don´t know how to install a new one!
HELP ... I need somebody!

Carefully chose the SPL version, 1.2 since you install AP4, after AP4 you will have the newly partitioned ATHENA, with SPL 3.5 (no way to flash any original HTC ROM or an 1.2 SPL ROM, a tool to revert it back is in developing stage)

Read the Upgrade Guide again and look for the Recovery Steps follow that and your problem will be Fixed it worked for me if you cant find the files you need NO_Vendor WM 5 Rom let me know al upload and post the link here for you ok

i have a big problem,
my t-mobile mda touch (htc touch) (elfin 256/128) is stuck at the operator logo, i have tried the CID unlock and the software says all OK, i have tried to flash a new rom ... error!
10 hours later i know this:
my htc elfin is not unlocked (cid) , i have forgot to save my original firmware,
i have found a firmware with same device id and cid id but its says errorcode 270 ^^
the bootloader is OK with spl 2.26 and ipl 1.17.0002 and mtty connection is possible.
now my question is: can i save my elfin only with the "goldcard" method or i have now a BIG problem?
i dont know now what i can do, im tired, i sit 12 hours with google and forum search and my elfin is bricked...
help pls

Given the fact that you have an Elfin and your IPL is 1.71.0002, my guess is that you flashed a rom meant for the Elf(128/64).

i think ur phone is not cid unlocked try hardspl3.10 and ipl 3.10 again.
After that try to flash with onyx 6.14 rom
I think your phone will come alive,because my phone also hav the same problem when i unlocked the different spl and ipl.

Then you CAN NOT use SoftSPL (aka "white screen method") to flash a HardSPL (or a USPL) in order to CID-Unlock your pda.

Flash an Official Shipped ROM with CID & MID that match your pda's
Flash the "Unbricker rom"(try both via usb and from sd-card)
Use the "GoldCard" method (which requires an Official Shipped ROM with MID that matches your pda's)

3. i dont find a shipped rom with my cid and mid .... when you have one for me, post the link please!
4. with the unbricker rom per usb i get the message error 270 (see post 6)
and flash with sd-card .. no error .. no flash .. i see the bootloader (i tried 2 micro sd cards)
5. goldcard method (see post 4) i dont have the hardware here and nobody has a windows or android pone ^^

i need for the goldcard exactly my original rom? i have think i can use any rom with this method ... damn it
so now i have it ... i have read the sd card cid with my gps device ... that run on win ce ...
then i have great a goldcard image and then i used the o2 rom update and now its fully functional
48h working and nothing happend and only what i need is a goldcard -.-
