I checked Kies today and it shows me that there is a new firmware available:
PDA: JVH / PHONE: JVO / CSC: JV4 (XEN)
Unfortunately it is 2.3.3 and not 2.3.4.......
So now all I need to do is gather the nerve to update my Samsung friend in the hope of no data loss... Hope the Speedmod kernel is working fine for me, as this is by far my preferred kernel.
BTW... Will an upgrade through Kies put my phone back to factory defaults, or does it keep my settings, accounts, mail, and apps?
I updated a couple of days ago through kies an all my settings were kept, only the home screens and widgets were reset.

It is true it´s GB 2.3.3 and not 2.3.4 but still a very good firmware.
You can put the following configuration with Odin, pit 512 and Re-partition:
PDA: I9000XWJVH
Phone: I9000BUJV3 from BUJV9
CSC: I9000OXAJVK from XXJVK not from XXJVO
KERNEL : speedmod-kernel-k15h-t4-300hz
Works great, very stable and very little battery consumption, enjoy it.
With titanium backup restore your applications, but no data. Thus the XWJVH will work well, fast, stable and low battery consumption.

Updated via Kies. At least for me is lagging like hell. I came from a JM8 vanilla, rooted with no lagfix at all.

Today here in The Netherlands I was offered a software update, the first since JJ3. About device says it's Froyo 2.2 build XWJMK, with baseband XJMA, and kernel 2.6.32.9. *#1234# says the following:
PDA: P1000XWJMK
PHONE: P1000XXJMA
CSC: P1000PHNJM5
I'm guessing it's the same as samfirmware.com's JMK. But hey, it's official, and will update without flashing just using Kies, and as such should be fully supported by Samsung. It's of course still Froyo, and not the hoped for Gingerbread.
Superoneclick rooted it succesfully. Bootloader Patch reported a signed bootloader, but had no problem unlocking it. Great job, guys!
what type of tab is yours (sales code - CPW, XEU etc - cant remember the code to find out)
*#*#44336#*#* says CSC: P1000PHNMJM5. *#272*IMEI# says PHN. It also says Build time: 2011.02.22 11:01:46 KST. Changelist: 900323.
Can you extract the modem.bin?
Hm, this is a Kies update, so I'm not sure where and if it dropped an update file containing modem.bin. However, it may well be the same JMK update as that on samfirmware's site. I just checked and that one does have a modem.bin. It's even PHN.

I am new at all of this. So excuse me, I have recently purchased a GT-i9505 and was wondering what the newest firmware is for my version.
I cannot move my apps to SD card and I believe I have the old firmware as
PDA: i9505XXUAMDM
CSC: i9505OXXAMDB
I have tried Kies update and it says it is latest firmware PDA: MDM, Phone: MDM, CSC: MDB (BTU)
I am in the United Kingdom, and as far as I am aware it originated here as it came with a 3 pin plug. It is also unlocked and free of branding.
Why is the new firmware MGA not on my phone or on update? How do I get it, as I am running lower on room on my phone everyday.
Thank you

has anyone been able to gain root on this rom? it doesnt seem to root for me. ive tried superuser.zip, multitool v6, cf auto root..nothing seems to stick. and i have experience rooting other 4.3 roms so im wondering if something changed in this rom that breaks root. i know this rom has the most recent change list.
root works fine for me. anyone notice any battery improvement? mine is still horrible...doesn't seem like they've fixed the crazy battery drain that was introduced with the 4.3 update

i re-cooked the rom and was able to root using multitool v6. and yes my battery still drains quick as well..but i also cooked in the note3 files and i know that will increase battery drain. i havent used the rom completely stock yet.
thx pro
can you send individual CSC ???
Does this version of the ROM have Arabic T9 enabled in the dialer?
