Tri-Colored Screen wont go bye bye - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hello folks!
I need some of your expertise. I have been on here and I rooted my HTC HD2 with android and it was all fine and dandy till my phone started being dumb, so i need to send it in and i cant have android on when I do so I was trying to take it off and I flashed it with the stock htc hd2 rom for TMOUS. and after that finished i'm stuck on the tri-color screen. I am sorry if this was already posted but what i saw about being stuck on the tri-color screen, is not the same way they got stuck on the screen. So, if you could tell me how i messed up that would be great and how I may fix this problemo, or have I bricked it.
Thank you in advance, sorry again if this is double posted but i looked!

Well, the last WinMo device I owned was a 6.1 Titan/Mogul, but last I remember, getting out of the bootloader screen was a matter of running the official carrier RUU. Is that what you mean by "flashed the stock rom"?

well if the device boots in to bootloader on its own sounds like the volume down buttons is busted,
if the phone doesn't boot a rom then sounds like u havent flashed a stock rom properly,
and good news bootloader means its not bricked

Problem trying to remove Hspl?

Hello there,
I installed Hspl a few days ago on my Virgin HD2 and have tried a few custom roms on it but i am sure this phone is faulty as it randomly crashes on all the roms i have tested.
My brother received this phone also and he has tried the custom roms and his is fine so i am planning on sending it back for an exchange.
I have read the instructions for uninstaling Hspl and watched the video so i downloaded the rom from the official HTC site and extracted the RUU_signed.nbh and renamed it to LEOIMG.nbh but when i hold the volume button down and press power on to load the LEOIMG.nbh off the memory card...it gets to the loading screen then shows me the screen with the SPL-1.42.HSPL on it.
I am a Noob so i am probably doing something wrong
Can anybody help me out please?
Thanks.
Anyone?
Still not getting anywhere.
i dont know if this would help but I flash stock roms using a goldcard. has worked flawlessly on 3 hd2's so far

He's way past that part mate - that won't help him now.
jpopgt - I'd recommend asking this question in the ROM forum rather than the general forum. Most people do switch between all the subforums, but you'll definitely get a better target audience in the right one.
Good luck mate
Ok Cheers.
Will ask in the Rom forum.
Thanks for the replies.
I would think that as your phone is a virgin phone you will have to flash a stock virgin ROM.
Closing this as you have now asked the question in the ROM Forum.
Hope you get it sorted.

New rom issues

Hi people, this site has done wonders... kind of
just by reading alot of posts and info here ive been able to flash my htc and change roms, as im in australia i get all that telstra logo crap all through the phone.
My problem lies that once ive installed a new rom, customised the settings how i like, ill find 9 out of 10 times the phone will not restart and gets stuck at the white htc screen, it stays there and wont budge, even after 10- 15 mins
just curious as to what i could be doing wrong to cause this
currently its been flashed with HSPL and running the Touch-IT_BL_23569_tmous2.13_w_cookies_1.8.0 rom
i like it but cant use the phone most of the time after its restarted, and i definately dont want to revert back to the crappy telstra rom
any help would be much appreciated
thanks
You need to flash a suitable radio for the rom your using.
Read the thread for the rom your using and see what radio they suggest.
Put the phone in to bootloader mode and flash the radio.
Thanks alot mate, been 3 days messing around with this, and a thread was my last resort
much appreciated

Complete Restore for get Waranty again?

Hi,
i have to send my HD2 to the Repair service (because of the touchscreen problem from the first devices) but i had a custom-ROM on it..
Now my question:
how can i remove ALL signs of the Custom-ROM so that HTC cannot say that it is because i had unofficial ROM on it?
I have flashed the original ROM from my SD-Card...
is there something else i need to do?
Nope that's it, it's ok .
Did you check bootloader?
If it's not saying CotullaHSPL you can return it.
@Laurentius26
if I make Hspl, and then for warranty reasons I return to stock loader, can they discover that I was using cooked ROMs at any time?
Thanks...
Nope, if you flash factory stock from storage card, SPL and OS are restored to stock.

Q Trouble with energy rom for HTC HD2

I have downloaded the energy rom for the HD2 ive don everything i was meant 2 like the radio and the hspl but im stuck on the boot logo screen and it doesnt change at all and i cant get it workin i only installed this rom cos i was gonna put froyo on it 2 run android but now i cant can some1 plz help me and yes i am a noob can some1 tell me how 2 restore it back 2 the original OS so it works again cos i need my phone and can it be step by step
I was going to type out how to do it, but I don't remember each step that vividly... In the regular hd2 section you can get help in the rom development forum for how to revert back to the stock rom. The top stickies should have all the info you need, plus downloads to the stock roms.
I have similar problem with Sencity Energy rom, and radio 2.15.50.14. Got stuck forever at android boot screen (green HTC logo) forever. I've tried several android builds but neither got past boot screen.
Anyone have solution to this problem?

sure, pull the battery cover, press the soft reset button, or pull the battery.... reinstall battery, it'll boot up into WM... done.
might i recomend formating your sdcard before trying again.
and yes , firs boot into android will take probably 20 min, it has to build a new filesystem on the sdcard, initialise, and a whole bunch of technical stuff thats obviously way over your head.
Hi ,I use energy rom too and i use this android rom and works perfectly try it out.
my radio version 2.07.50.27_2
I use the drop mode version.

If you could post a link 2 it plz it would help me a lot thanks
I'm new to all this as I only loaded HSPL 2.08 on my phone for the 1st time on Sunday evening. I then loaded the new 2.14.50.* radio. Then I loaded NRG's 21916 Original Cookie ROM. Everything worked fine. And then yesterday I downloaded FroyoStone_Sense and followed instructions and now I'm playing Fruit Ninja
The steps I followed are
those for the energy ROM thread in this forum
then
search for "How to Install Android 2.2 Froyo on HTC HD2 easily" on google.

i have energy GTX rom and i just install 2.15.50.14 radio but the call sound is annoying is this radio conflict with the rom
Why all the energy Rom talk in the android q & a?
Go to the energy ROM thread, you'll find answers without having to ask.

Go to "settings, sound" and turn off audible touch tones in the "feedback" section. If that doesn't work, next time you're in a call turn on speakerphone and then turn it off again. That should stop your problem till next reboot. The first suggestion normally resolves the problem though.
Good luck

[Q] HD2 doesn't turn on after flashing Android! Please Help!!

Sorry people, cause I don't know if there's a thread like this one, because I don't have an HD2, actually I have an HD7.
Anyway... my friend has an American HD2, with 1Gb ROM and he did flash an European ROM into his HD2 (and he doesn't speak English )
Does anyone have any idea to his problem?! (I don't know any more details...)
Thanks in advance
remove the battery for a minute, try run it again,
Flashing american hd2 (aka T Mobile HD2) with EU/International HD2 rom is very2 WRONG
Make sure the phone is not simply out off battery. Take out the battery and put it back in then press the green button the turn on the phone. If it still doesn't turn on, then take the battery out again and put it back in, now use something small to press the yellow button in the back. It should turn on.
Thank you guys, I'll try this and post what happens, if happened something.

If your friend flashed a European ROM with a x.xx.51.xx radio then they bricked the HD2 and the only way to fix it is JTAG.
It is well know and discussed in the HD2 General forums that any 2.04.50.xx, 2.05.50.xx, or any x.xx.51.xx radio will brick a TMOUS HD2.
