[Q] Battery and digitizer problem - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus General

Hello everyone
In this same time battery and digitizer were dead. I bought new flex and after change still not working, so its must be problem with digitizer.
With battery looks that its problem with any chipset or motherboard because with a few different batteries is the same problem that when charger is plug, battery is full and when i unplug battery shows 1% and after few seconds phone is turn off. In the begin when i plug charger orange led is lighting normal but after minute starting blinking.
I did hardreset and its not help, is worst than earlier because i stuck on calibration screen i try calibrated by mymobiler but its not working
I waiting for any suggestions. I don`t know if is worth to buy digitizer or not..

Orange SPV M3100 (HTC Hermes) Failed

Hi
I have an orange SPV M3100 which died on me a few months back and I think its a repair job to be honest, It was running low on battery and I simply connected the charger and the phone immediately switched off and displayed a red led, i looked at the tip of the charger (Mini-usb type) and noticed that the bottom of the tip was slightly bent up as if it had been stood on or something.
Since then the phone wont switch on, charge or anything, its even stopped displaying the red led, I have tried the following.
1. Tried alternative chargers
2. Tried connecting to USB on PC
3. Tried resetting, removing battery and connecting to charger and putting battery on whiclst connected to power.
all of the above does nothing, I have thought about buying another battery but dont really want to go to the expense of buying a bettery to find that its completely dead anyhow
Any advice chaps?
Thanks
Will
I have the same problem, last night was browsing the web on wifi and the phone simply switched of, thought it might be the battery was dead so i hooked it up to the charger, the phone'sred led came up, came down this morning and it is still red..not green and it will not now power up....it must be something simple can any one help..?
ctasystems, if the red LED doesn't come on you may have fried you phone... If the power on the usb charger connected with the data part of the Hermes it may have fried the mainboard. I say this as this happened to my Imate Jam. The only thing I could suggest is if you know someone else with the same phone then try their battery and charger. If it works then its the battery &/or charger. If it doesn't then you've got something to sell on ebay - it will get you some cash to put towards a new phone...
hooperman, does sound like the battery BUT it sounds more like the battery is completely stuffed. As above, change the battery with a friends battery or go to the shop and see if they have a spare around you can try... The red LED means the hardware is still functioning so that would be my advice or purchase a cheap battery off of ebay.....
Cheers...

Charging problem! HELP Please!

Hi all! Sorry in advance for my bad English.
I have a Qtek9100 with WM5. G4 IPL/SPL 2.21.0001
Now I'm experiencing a problem charging my device.
I had a miniUSB problem some months ago, when my device accidently fall from the desk, when it was charging. The charger get damaged, and the port miniUSB on the PDA as well, and it only charged in a position, making pressure on the miniUSB. Replaced the charger because it's not the only Wizard at home and my dad welded (I think it's how it should be said, but for translation problem I want to mean stick the miniUSB to mainboard like... "glue'ing" it) =$
It worked fine! First days but then, when I link it to charger the device show the icon charging, charging bar is moving normaly, but when the green led turn on. Battery Icon show it's full, but when unplugged it from the charger, the battery icon decrease a lot, like 20% or less.
Sometimes, when it's charging when I pick the Wizard, it's turned off, and the RED led is on. Like when it's fully charged, but RED!
Do you think it's a hardware problem? Mainboard? If it's a hardware problem at the Official Qtek store, They'll ask for more than the commercial value for the repair!
I love my Wizard. Can't get used with another mobile phone!
Please help me!
Thanks a lot in advance.
Regards, skrpn.

O2 XDA Trion doesn't charge

Hi !
I searched already around the forum, but I didn't find anything for my problem:
Yesterday my device turned off because of low battery (while listening music), then I tried to charge it with the original charger over night. Today in the morning the device was not charged but the amber/organge LED was blinking.
When I put on the charger the red led turns on, after a few seconds the amber led starts blinking then after a few minutes the led turns again red an then again blinking amber and so on ...
I can boot up Windows mobile bu after a few secounds the deivce turns off an then again red led an blinking amber ...
I did a softreset and a hardreset but still no charging.
I tried another battery from a neighbour, the device works fine, but still a blinking amber led (not always-on) when connect on the charger.
Can anybody help me ?
Sorry for my bad english ..
Have you tried using your friend's phone charger?
The problem has been discussed. It is known as the RLOD (Red light of Death) and is reported against many different phones and brands. It is likely a fault in:
1
The phones charging circuit
OR
2
A faulty battery
OR
3 A faulty USB port (bent pin or cracked solder joint)
OR
4
A cracked solder joint between the battery connector and m/board
In my experience it is most likely to be a faulty (stuck) charging circuit.
The following link may be useful, and it is worth persevering. I once had a phone that took several days to get started again:

Mike
@gypsygirl: I tried two different chargers which are working fine which another device (xda neo)
@mikechannon:
I think its a problem with the charging circut or the usb port (otherwise the data connection works when connected to the pc).
I tried the battery from my friend with 90 % battery left and put on the charger and ist doesn't start charging, only blinking amber ...
I guess I will buy an external cradle for charging the battery, not the best way, but so i can use the device ...
When there is any solution for a cracked charging circut, i will try it out ...
Thanks for help

Hi
You emailed me on this as well. You also gave some more info regarding the battery connectors being broken from the motherboard.
If the gold battery connectors have come off the motherboard then they are almost impossible to reconnect. You see, the motherboard on the device is what is known as a multi-layered board. There are connections that run between the layers on the board. The board cannot be split so that you could re-solder the battery connectors. Most often the battery connectrs split off between the layers where it is impossible to re-solder them.
If you are very very lucky the connectors have split on the surface and there might be enough of the wires on the surface of the board to have them re-soldered, but I think the chances are very low for this. You may also find that the on-board fuse has blown. This is a tiny component, but really it hardly matters unless you can be sure you have fixed the battery connectors!!

[Q] new battery dont charge

hi i have a nexus 4 12 months . i bought a battery from ebay 5 months ago .before 1 month my main battery was inflate a little and the back housing of the phone cant close proper.i swaped the battery .the new battery charge only to 16% and then discharge with the charger on .when i plug out the charger the battery discharge fast to 4% and shut down.
i bought a 3rd battery from ebay
i charge my phone closed 30min now and the phone dont have power to turn on.
the charger is the official with the official cable from lg
I do something wrong??
sorry for poor english.
It could be the charging flex that is broken. But these batteries from ebay could easily be bad copies which don't work. I know spareslg.com sell genuine parts if you want to be sure.
I have a similar problem. The battery was draining really fast and not charging when plugged in, so I got a new battery. It still didn't charge so I tried a wireless charger. That does work but it will not charge via USB. When plugged in, the icon changes to the charging icon but it doesn't say that it is actually charging. In the battery status screen it says "not charging."
Would my next step to be to try to replace the USB port? I've cleaned it out as best as I can with a toothpick and used some contact cleaner as well.
I think the problem is with the way you replace your old battery
Are you sure you replace it correctly ?
I had previously successfully replaced the screen after I dropped and shattered the phone. To do that, I successfully disassembled and reassembled the phone with no issues. I ensured all connections were tight when I replaced the battery and disassembled again tonight to check all the connections and the battery still will not charge -- both the old and new battery. I do not believe at this point that the battery is the problem.
