Hi, I have an HD2, using it to take photos during my day, like a diary. But I would like to send my photos from my HD2 to my Ipad without using a laptop.
I can't pair it using bluetooh, or do I have to have a spec. software to pair my HD2 and my Ipad?
Regards
Hans

Sorry, couldnt resist.
Couldnt you email them to yourself if all else fails......
Crapple, in another example of them crippling the so called 'best phone in the world', have deliberately omitted OBEX so you can't send or receive files using bluetooth. However, if your iPhone is jailbroked you can use iBluetooth which is available over Cydia and this will do exactly what you need.
theres always email, but it might compress the photo

the only way for file exchange i can think of is over wifi:
you can try mocha ftp server (if that "revolutinary" ithing supports ftp) or have a look at this thread
The ipad.. same thing as their iphone: it doesnt send nor receive calls
have you tried dropbox?
great application front for our phone:

use the above all the time...works great.
cheers.
You guys, don't get it .
This is how Apple would like you to transfer your photos on ur Ipad:
- You can take pictures, but ONLY with an Apple device,
- You have to upload your pictures via ITunes,
- Only then you can download your photos on your IPad via ITunes. It's only USD 0,99 per picture.
Cool, no?
How I love their philosophy.
How I forgot to say...
Steve Jobs himself will select the photos you have the right to download on your EPad. Don't forget: no politics, no sex.
sorry if this has been hashed out somewhere else but i could not find it. does anyone know if you will be able to watch hulu on the transformer. my guess is no but alas i still have to ask thanks a lot
Hulu doesn't allow any mobile device to play their video, except for devices supported by Hulu+ (which I think is only iOS devices at this point).
I've been using PlayOn TV for both Netflix and Hulu on my Xoom, and it works well enough. Needs a Windows PC to stream the video, and it costs a bit of money, but actually still works out less than Hulu+ so it's a bit of a wash at this point.
Use the included My Desktop feature to watch Hulu.
that's what i thought. its pretty lame for those of us who want to use them as a laptop replacement

I agree, but be thankful that you can take your Android device out of a box and start using it - with iOs, you are forced to use a computer to "activate" the device. What a PITA!
agreed i had a iphone 4 it was jailbroken. well anyways i tryed to do a master reset so i could sell it and low and behold it forced me to update to the latest software and firmware. it sure was a pain to sell it after that, now i have HTC inspire and much more happy
Actually, there is a flash player mod that hex edits the lib file to trick hulu into thinking your a windows PC. It works great on the incredible aand the xoom (I'm told) :,but whether that will work with transformer is another story.
Also, to the best of my knowledge, it requires root.

dont mean to bring up an old thread but in case anyone is wondering .. using the hacked flash apk, i was able to stream through hulu.com .. works good and although its not in HD, the quality is very good!

Has anyone tried using the Eye-Fi X2 with the app on the Xoom? I really want to buy one to use between my Nikon D7000 and my Xoom as an altrnative to carrying my laptop in the field and copying from SD card. I had heard there was problems with ad-hoc wireless on the Xoom and wasn't sure if that's how the Eye-Fi connects. Thanks

I'm interested in this too. I think it works by "pairing" the card with a device via the PC software that comes with it. You plug the card into a PC for this.
I'm in the same boat with the previous two posts. I will be trying out the pro x2 model myself and if no one has updated here, I'll post my results. Really hoping it's smooth and as clean as the demos have shown.
Found some youtube vids of this in action:

Looks like it works OK but if your card/Xoom is connected to your home Wi-fi it can interfere with direct mode. I guess you don't really need direct mode if you're at home though!
Been looking at getting on of these for the past year or so. Haven't been able to justify the purchase since my camera isn't on the list of compatible devices.
Though the Android app makes it awfully tempting to buy a new camera and one
I am trying to get it all to work right now, it seems a little hit and miss, I'll keep you posted.
After a bit of fiddling and an update to the latest version of the android app from eyefi, it all seems to be working well. The eyefi actually outs out an infrastructure wifi so the xoom can connect without any additional tweaks.
The new direct mode works well on the xoom, there are a couple of things that coudl be improved I think but I'll start posting on the eyefi forum and give feedback.
Im after one of these too. I was a a rally the other day and ran out of space and had no other cards with me. Could really have done with one of these then. If it works as well as it should im gonna get one. Im just trying to decide if I can live without raw or if I should just fork out the extra. M sure they're cheaper on amaon anyway than the prices on their site.

Ha alias, we seem to keep bumping in to each other (yoshi on irc), for this I decided the type of thing I was going to use this for didn't need raw, I found a 4Gb geo x2 on amazon for under £40 that versus a pro x2 card made the decision easier.

Hey yoshi. I thought the geo was an older model that wouldn't get the support and updates etc? Does it have dirct mode etc? They don't even she it on their website...
Thanks

Yea they don't show it listed but its an x2 card so I checked with eyefi directly and they confirmed it will work. Just for whatever reason they don't show this specific card..
Just put the card in your pc using the 'dongle' and it does the firmware update. Its all working in terms of transferring images taken on my Nikon to the xoom, there seems to be some possible issues with the whol sync to xoom, sync to PC when at home. It may not match everyone's workflow at the moment. Just depends what you actually want to achieve with it at this stage.

Exactly right. The Eye-Fi Card first looks to see if it's in range of a known SSID. If you're at home, it'll be in range of a known SSID, so it'll connect to your home network. If it CAN'T find a known in-profile network, it'll deploy it's own infrastructure (not ad-hoc) network, and the mobile device (or PC) will connect, to the card, and then, the app on the device will receive the images and videos.

The D7000 is an amazing camera and is Eye-Fi Connected. I can't post a link to our web site but if you just navigate to:
our corp page
How It Works
Camera Compatibility
Connected Cameras
You'll see how the D7000 is there So you'll see a fun little GUI for us, and when the card is done uploading, the camera will turn off.
We have a XOOM in the office, and it works well. The app had some bugs, and we'll keep pushing updates often.
I'm on a TB, and loving it. But I'm biased. I'm one of the founders.
A few tips:
When you set up the card, and enable Direct mode in the Eye-Fi Center, just make sure that your first slider (for how long the card deploys the network) is longer than the timer that your Android device scans. So if for example, you know that when your Android device, when idle, scans for Wi-Fi every minute, set the card to 1.5 minutes
When the device is in your pocket, and the screen is off, that's when it could take up to a minute, for the card to connect - depending on how quickly your Android device is scanning. If the app is in the foreground, and the screen is on, the app will force the Android device to scan every 10 seconds, so you'll see how your device will drop off the existing Wi-Fi or 3G / 4G, connect to the Eye-Fi Card, and then the transfers will start.

I ordered a nexus, but I wanna know, what I can use nfc for?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda app-developers app
This is exactly what I was wondering but was afraid to ask in order not to look like a noob
I mean, I know the basics of the technology, but any good use? I mean, I don't care about NFC tags that I have to glue to my desk, because I already have a better way to turn on wifi automatically or do different stuff (i.e. Setting Profiles uses GPS or GSM location to do these things).
I mean - I have Nexus 7 and Note 2, which both have NFC. I saw some demonstrations concerning file trenasfer between phones and what not... But when I put my Note 2 onto N7, I only hear a beep and that's it... what has to be done i.e. to use NFC to transfer something between these 2 devices? Does this work in combo with Wifi direct?
D.
In am not sure if the note 2 uses the normal beam app built into android or not but I know if I put my nexus s or nexus 4 back to back next to my nexus 7 (nexus s to nexus 4) with say the gallery app opened up it will allow me to beam the image selected to the other device...you can also use it for webpages, contacts and other such shareable items.

You beat me to it
I like that dude's YouTube channel, so thanks for introducing me to it... Ah, Hackintosh, there's a scene I haven't been to involved with since the early leaks of the developer preview of 10.4.3 way back when... (I'm pretty certain I was amongst the first to get it booted on anything other than the developer platform, lol) NFC though, I've not really had much use for it. Got a few devices which support it, my partner's S2 as well, although trying to get the I9100P's party piece working in an I9100 CM10.1 ROM has been hit and miss. I should grab some tags to use for profile switching and app launching on my Nexuses (Nexii?), it seems like the only thing I'm likely to use it for in the short term, at least.
Nfc is a gimmick. I tried to send a pic to my cousin once using nfc. It wouldn't even send it... It said file was too large... Wtf its like a 25kb pic file... Seriously?
Gimmicks gonna gimmick

Hi all,
I have a weird requirement.
I have a Galaxy Note 4.
1. I installed gotomypc app and gotomypc software on my work laptop and my Galaxy Note 4 and I can browse my Home laptop when I'm outside.
Similarly, is there any app, which I can install on my Galaxy Note 4 and remote control my another Verizon Galaxy S5 Phone in my home?
I want to just do everything, like I do when I connect via gotomypc software to my laptop from my Phone or Work Laptop.
I don't mind paying monthly fee for this app, if there is a subscription fees. Just like for gotomypc, I pay $9.95/ Month.
Thank You for Your suggestions.

You can install a VNC client on your Note 4 and install this app on your S5. I haven't done this from one phone to another but it definitely works for me running a VNC client from my PC and remote controlling a phone. I used it to connect to my LG Optimus L9 many, many times. It's a one-time cost of $10.
Splash top, log me in, vnc, to name but a few.
Not too sure about phone to phone.
Phone to PC works, have no idea why you would want to control another phone unless it was to snoop, there are other apps out there for stuff like that, don't know if xda promotes stuff like that though
Actually Teamviewer is free for personal use

Is there any way that I can past the games.
I paid $10. But it asking me download some crap game and asking me to play that crap game.
I hate playing games.
Its pathetic that, even after paying the money, You cannot go forward in using the App, and You are forced to download some crap.
Obviously, filing a charge back with my Credit card company and they will take care of the rest. I will not loose my $10.
Are there any other alternatives.
MY REQUIREMENT IS TO CONNECT FROM ANDROID TO ANDROID.
Can You connect a Android to Android via Team Viewer???
I could not find that option.

What game?? None of those apps come with a game, they're all distributed on the play store, as i said i'm not sure about phone to phone, there wouldn't be any need to do that unless you were spying on someone and as I've already said, I don't think XDA like people talking about that stuff.
