hello,
I have read in the froum sometime back about correcting the clock setting problem in nthe prophet. But now not able to find that thread.(YES I DID SEARCH)
My problem is that whenever I soft reset the xda neo , the time changes back to when the ppc was first bought, i.e I set the time to 15/july/08 but after soft reset or changing the battery the date & time shows 26/march/2006.
Annoying to change the time & date always.
PLEASE PLEASE help.Guide me to the software upgrade that corrects this annoyance.
Thank you

which version of rom you are using? WM5? WM6? WM6.1?
1. first try to use a good battery, or replace your battery, or,
2. try flash another rom,
818pro clock resetting

OS - WM5

UPDATE re rooted fixed for one re boot it's back to december 31 2008 7:00 pm please anyone have any ideas??
i looked on here for tips on how to fix my lag problem
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50499120
I dont have the insane chip, u have fw7, bought samsung s3 on may 2013, manufacture date dec 2012. updated the rom 3 times from what i think originally was EMB1-EMB3-EMB5 and now EMC2 (supposedly an excellent stable rom with excellent battery life)
since monday I have been having a lag/freeze problem where the phone will become unsusable for about 5 secs, then if i start typing again, it''l freeze again.
can anyone shed light as to what has happened?
I tried the dummy file generator method, it didn't crash or freeze once when producing 5-6gb of data. it freezes after a few hours use and the only way to get it to work again is to either update an app or remove an app. very strange.
could it be a corrupted chip?
i've just updated to xxEMG5 (dont know why, i downloaded another yesterday but it failed to install so had to download again).
Questions go on the q&a forum, report your own post and ask a moderator to move it.
Factory reset and flash the latest 4.3 stock rom (check md5 first), test before you install or restore any apps.
So I just got my moto droid razr m and the time and date is completely wrong. When I go onto my date and time settings there's no way to manually enter the time or date; the only options are to use 24 hour format and select date format. Whenever I try restarting my phone there is no change accept the time resets to 12AM. The date also continues to say it is January 1th 1970. Please help me fix this? I don't know what to do!

In settings /about phone /date and time
There should be 2 automatic options, turn them off and changed date /time
After correctly set, auto data and time should work correctly

I just got this phone and The problem occured just a few days ago when i inserted my SIM.
i tried NTP clocksync and it does not work, doing it manually and the HYDROEN PEROXIDE'S new root method. Restarting it several times and tried hard reset as well. Nothing works.
I checked my sensors as well. The proximity sensor and the light sensor are not working. I didn't check before but i know my light sensor was working. Don't know about the proximity sensor.

I'm having the same issue. I have rooted the phone with Kingo root because Towelroot won't allow me to connect due to being off on dates. I installed clock sync which is supposed to allow you to adjust dates or time to what you want. I tried manually adjusting through the phone settings but it won't let you do that either. Once I press ok on the date that i want it never actually changes. It continue to show as 1/1/1970. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. There's nothing on the phone and it has been factory reset multiple times. Only thing on phone at this time is kingo root, superuser, clock sync and that's it.

i have that same issue ! please share here solution if someone have this!
I have read too many posts and solutions but nothing have solved my s5 problem, which is not rotating.
I lost rotation after flashing a new rom on my s5 (actually suddenly after two weeks of installing the new rom).
I have to mention that if I removed the battery for more than a min, "sometimes" it works again but not for long time, and when the screen shut down it stops from rotating.
I downloaded cyanogenmod roms but also didn't fix it.
I tried to reset my phone using kies, and it worked back for one day, then stopped.
I also tried the method of replacing libgnustl_shared.so file in system/lib and changing permission (as described in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2644293), but it didn't work with me.
Please, I am so desperate to fix this problem. Anybody think it is a hardware problem?, if yes, why it works after restart with battery removal sometimes?
I am eager to solve this problem, and thanks for everyone who wants to help
