[Q] Unable to fix s-off - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey,
I have a mytouch 4g and I had it perm rooted as well as s-off. I recently attempted to unroot my phone and made a mistake of attempting to do this while having the wrong radio. Now I am unable to flash any new kernals or radios to my phone. My wi-fi doesn't even work with the radio I currently have flashed. My phone reads this in boot
GLACIER PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.86.0000
MICROP-0429
RADIO-26.08.04.30_M3
eMMC-boot
Sept 27 2010, 11:12:59
is there any way for me to fix this problem and get my S back on??
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am currently running CyanogenMod 7.0.3

My phone is actually still rooted from when I used to have it rooted, if I flash the radio I need to use to make s-off work, will it work? i thought the entire purpose of s-on was to prevent me from being able to flash any radio?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=858996, follow that guide, its the saner one I used

The best option for you would be to flash the PD15IMG from the hBoot. It will flash the radio you should have along with turning the s-on as long as you didn't use ./gfree to root the phone.

in order to flash the radio from the h-boot, wouldn't i need to have s-off? Right now i have S-On so I am unable to flash radios

The PD15IMG is the entire stock T-Mobile ROM. You do not need to be rooted or have s-off to flash that.
you are thinking of the radio files. You do not want to flash that.
hear read this

Hey,
I just tried that method with the stock PD15IMG.zip file and I got the message
Main Version is older!
Update Fail!
Press <POWER> to reboot
do you have any idea what could cause this to happen??
Would I brick my phone if i performed the factory reset from the HBOOT menu?

if your s-off all a factory reset will do is wipe everything on your phone.

so theres no point in me performing the factory reset...do you have any other suggestions as to what I could to to fix my phone?? I realize the problem lies with me having the wrong radio but I can't figure out how to get s-off in order to flash the stock radio and the stock rom gives me an error when I attempt to flash it...

IIRC you can flash radio files via fastboot but i do not know the commands to do it.

Seeking advice rooting MyTouch 1.2 (HTC Magic 32a)

Hello all, thank you for this great resource and any insight you can provide.
I need some of your wisdom, as I've been banging my head against a brick wall for about two weeks now, trying to root my T-Mobile MyTouch 1.2 (HTC Magic) with the 3.5" jack.
I did a couple hours of homework and began the process, but currently am stuck at the HTC Magic splash screen on normal boot up. I cannot boot into recovery; I have tried flashing both the Amon Ra versions, H and G. I can, however, boot into hboot and fastboot menu options, so it my understanding that my phone is salvageable with the right tools and process. Unfortunately, I was given bad advice—or incorrectly followed good advice—and now all the instructions I find to restore functionality to my phone don't go smoothly.
I've spent countless hours trying proposed found threads here (mostly) and other resources, but while the solutions sound like the apply to my hardware, they fail to complete successfully.
I have created two goldcards, both appear to work, as I have been able to flash a sappimg.zip image initially, but currently trying to flash again to remedy problems hangs and requires me to pull the battery. It usually hangs at the initial unzipping or at updating radio_v2. Via fastboot, I have been able to flash the stock hboot.nbo and reflash different versions. I was able to flash to the stock radio once, but have had problems trying to reflash images, trying to correct the issue.
These details have read different things at different stages in trying proposed solutions, but currently the info on fastboot menu reads:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A SHIP S-ON H
HBOOT-1.33.0009 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO-6.35.10.18
At this moment, I've stopped trying to find answers on the forum because I've spent countless hours failing and more importantly, fear that if I continue applying incorrect solutions, I will irreversibly damage my phone. I hope that someone can provide some advice tailored to my situation.
Thank you for reading and for your reply. I understand that any advice I receive is at my own risk to follow.
Option one: flash the .nbo file for te engineerings 1.33.2010 spl and thz flash the g recovery.
Option two: flash the sappimg to revert back to stock then stsrt all over again
Option three: flash the stock sappimg and stay at stock thanking jesus you didnt **** anything up.

You did not read the mytouch 1.2 rooting guide correctly. This phone can only run stock spl and radio. Read the guide at the unlockr. After using the goldcard you should have flashed stock spl and radio using fastboot.

I tried the files and process indicated on Unlockr several times. The files and process located here: theunlockr.com/2010/03/11/how-to-root-the-mytouch-1-2-and-fender-mytouch/
Attempting again, just now, I run into the same roadblock as reported in my initial post: Immediately after clicking the action button to execute the update, the process hangs at 'Unzipping' on step [1] SYSTEM, where the progress bar never moves, and pulling the battery is the only thing that works (unfortunately, since I'm warned not to power off the device!).

Thank you so much for your response.
Attempting option 1, I get the following messaging in the terminal while trying to flash the hboot.img (not nb0, is this wrong?) downloaded from the 'Magic SPL HBOOT collection' thread located here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529019
sending 'hboot' (512 KB)... OKAY
writing 'hboot'... INFOsignature checking...
FAILED (remote: signature verify fail)
In the previous reply to another helpful commenter I describe another error I get while attempting to update the sappimg provided by Unlockr.
Further insight is very much appreciated.
so this is the second time I'm seeing this exact problem... this is keeping me from rooting this mytouch. but last time i saw this problem I believe it was solved.. i can't remember where i saw it though! I'll look and look until i find it then i'll post it here!
but in the mean time you can try unrooting it until the problem is solved?

I've visited that thread before in my days of lurking, but didn't attempt it (I don't think—I've tried so many things, it's hard to remember fully at this point).
I think all I have right now are goldcards. I hope a stock SD card isn't needed, or I'll have to figure out how to restore a Kingston microSD or buy another.
Thanks again for all of your input.

Follow up, attempting to update to MT3G 1.2 Sappimg (BUILD# 2.10.531.4) downloaded via that link, I encounter the second error documented in my initial post, the update process hangs at updating step [2] RADIO_V2. The red progress bar stops at about 95%. Pulling the battery out is the only way to escape.
I think, and this is just a gut-level guess, that my problem stems from a corrupt radio version. Any one have an opinion or advice about that?
After pulling the battery and booting back into fastboot, my versioning reads as follows:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO 6.35.10.18
You have a 32a radio with a 32b spl, during the root process you are supposed to be able to revert that. What we need to do is get you onto an eng spl so you can fastboot erase radio, fastboot flash radio, then flash the correct hboot aka the stock one. Right now you cant fastboot or anything aka you are semi bricked. Only thing i can say is let it sit o the charger for as long as possible for the sappimg update and pray lots n lots.

How can you tell that I have a 32b SPL? By the errors I'm experiencing? The SAPP310000? Just guesses here. I don't see that on my phone so, I'm curious to learn.

Are you advising my to sit on my hands, keeping my phone charged, until, hopefully, the development community comes up with a new sappimg solution? Or are you saying to preform the 1.33.2010 engineering SPL update until success or my phone dies?
I was stating to do the update where it freezes or hangs on the radio and let it sit for a crazy amount of time with praers, the spl version is defing by the numbers i the 1.33.0013 etc area, 32a users have 1.76.xxxx sp numbers while 32b users have 1.33.xxxx and after looking i see you are on the stouch 1.2 spl which is why fastbooting anything will not work. Quick question though did you try flashing te spl and radio BEFORE the recovery?

Thank you for the reply. Good to know, as I was under the impression that all T-Mobile MyTouch 1.2 phones were 32A, and 1.33.0013 was the desired and appropriate version for 32A.

I initially tried followed the procedure here: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Full_Update_Guide_-_Fender/1.2
Where, I updated the SAPPIMG via goldcard, then through fastboot, I flashed the radio, hboot, and recovery. But, I wasn't able to boot to recovery after that process, for whatever reason, so I began trying other procedures from other sources, which in all likelihood took me further away from the solution instead of closer.
If the current attempt of updating radio_v2 until success or power battery dies (which has been hung for about 30 minutes so far) does not end successfully, should I try flashing a different hboot or radio? Or any other suggestions?
Thanks again for your continued help. I'm going to try to get some more attention to this thread to hopefully get more possible solutions.
If the radio doesnt flash then we have to question why the recovery didnt load, the g version is the correct version given there is only one spl for us 1.2 users and it is a google spl. That is why you flash radio then spl then recovery in that order so nothing messes up. The thing is you have to flash a radio before spl, yet you hav the spl yet NOT THE RADIO which leaves me to believe you accidentalky did the spl first n not the radio first.

Okay, thanks so much for the continued insight.
I think, I flashed the radio down to original, but encountered some problem, misdiagnosed it, and flashed it back up again. Now it's been about 3 weeks of messing with this phone for a couple hours a day, so, unfortunately, it's hard to remember all that I've tried. If what you're saying is true, then yes, I must have accidentally flashed the SPL before the radio. Is there a remedy for this? I've been pouring over this forum searching for "can't flash radio" (forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=39519193&pp=25&page=1) and so far I've read people claiming to have had successfully deleting their radios completely and reinstalling. Is this an option? Any other suggestions?
I will PayPal $30 to you, anyone who can give me a solution to where this phone is working and rooted. Alternatively, I live in Los Angeles, if anyone can recommend a good, knowledgeable, phone repair shop.
it's really strange why that didn't work for you.
My steps were as follows:
**make sure phone is fully charged**
pre 1) create goldcard
1) place sappimg.zip on gold card
2) boot phone with goldcard to flash using Vold down + power
3) let it reboot - should boot up to the "htc magic" logo -- for me it never loaded back up to stock 1.6, I had to pull the battery.
4) boot to fastboot using back + power
5) connect phone to PC and verified it was recognized using "fastboot devices"
6) make sure you have stock radio and spl in your Android SDK's \tools
7) performed the following:
fastboot flash radio radio.img (or whatever the filename you have for the stock radio)
fastboot flash hboot hboot.nb0 (or whatever the filename you have for the stock hboot)
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img (or whatever the filename you have for amon_ra or clockwork or cm recovery)
fastboot reboot-bootloader (to make sure that stock radio and SPL are loaded again)
8) reboot to recovery using home+power
*from this point on, you no longer need to use your goldcard
9) have new ROM .zip on root of your SD card, option flash from zip
10) ???
11) profit

Thank you for your continued feedback!
I think you've listed the standard recipe for rooting this phone. I believe you. Unfortunately, something in my phone has gone askew (certainly my error) at this point and the "standard" just isn't working now. As is, and for the past 3 weeks, the process you describe dies at step 2. It hangs while updating RADIO_v2 (at whatever position in the list of updates it is for a given SAPPIMG file). Also, attempting to flash a stock radio.img via fastboot also hangs. Both updates send just fine, but hang at updating around 95%.
I've also been getting some advice from another member, knny1491. On this page, above, you'll see he hypothesises what my error is:

That sounds plausible that I did flash things in the wrong order. I'll accept that. I've been messing with it so much, I'm lucky it works at all. So now, and still, my question is where to go from here? Do you know anything about this radio/SPL relationship and how to remedy this current conflict, NetrixTardis?
Thanks again.
Possibly try to re download the sappimg from the mgic spl thread?
I was just thinking, if your goal at this point is to have the phone usable again regardless of root; why not try the RUU exe ? If i unserstand what it does, it should flash the phone back to stock (radio, spl, recovery,ROM etc). You'll have a phone as if you just unboxed it.
Thats if i understand what the ROM Upgrade Utility (RUU) does correctly. Someone should be able to correct me...

Thanks for the idea! I'll do some research on that. If anyone else can give any insight into if this may help restore my phone, please chime in!
I'd like root, but anything that gets the basic utility of the phone back would be great at this point (I've been using a old razr as a replacement while mine is hosed). I think an official 2.2 update is coming out from T-Mobile soon. I can wait for that.

If this is a good potential solution, could someone please direct me to which RUU to use? I've located the "[ROM] Official HTC Sapphire/Magic/MT3G RUU ROM Links" thread here: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=659403
There really is a great abundance of options. I'm guessing I should go for the latest [MT3G 1.2] download which is:
36) [xda-ftp] [4shared] 2.10.531.4 T-Mobile USA DRD35
36) 2.10.531.4 1.33.0013G 2.22.23.02 N T-MOB010
I'll want a few hours or perhaps a day before attempting this process, in hopes that some helpful reader will provide his input if this is a good or bad thing to do as far as getting the phone working again.
Thanks!

HBOOT .77 vs .79 How do I get .77 for OTA?

I followed the instructions here
http ://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=766361
with no issues however, in step 3, after rebooting it looks like I am still rooted and CWM is still installed. It didnt flash my device but only updated the HBOOT. But my HBOOT still reads .79. SHouldnt it be .77 to be ready for the OTA? And all of my apps + settings are still intact. I am still rooted. Is this what its supposed to do? I thought it was supposed to flash the recov img.
And I verified that I get the red warning triangle.
My maine concern is the HBOOT: my HBOOT ver is .79 Shouldnt it be .77 to get the OTA update?
If so, how do I fix this?

Thank you for this answer this was something I really needed to know as well, I did the same as the OP, was rooted, and downgraded with S-OFF hboot .79 and stock everything waiting for 2.2
Also can you help me out with this, I have all this but when I run S-ON and then tried to run the PB13IMG.zip to get the stock recovery back now, it says update failed main version is older.
You need to run that zip with S-OFF, it's unsigned, so it won't let you run it if it's not signed.

Help me with semi-bricked mytouch 3g 1.2

Hello
I tried to root mytouch 1.2 (t-mobile) using "theunlockr" sappimg.zip way but when I reached the recovery step, the device didn't boot into recovery. Then I tried a lot of flashes and things but ended up with this:
-booting hangs with htc magic screen and can't get into recovery
-can use fastboot but the sappimg.zip (from theunlockr for rooting mytouch 1.2) hangs on unzipping system and other sappimg.zip version says it's an older version and can't update.
-can't flash anything from fastboot because it says: FAILED (remote: signature verify fail).

It looks like either the sappimg failed to flash after doing the radio, or you didn't flash the stock radio back after flashing the recovery. Your only hope that I can think of is to redownload the sappimg and try the whole process over again.
i concur :0)
Thanks for your replay.
I redownloaded the file but it starts updating the system not the radio and as I said before it hangs on unzipping system. Is there any way to make sappimg.zip starts with radio?
Not that I know of. The only way I could imagine would be to extract just the radio image and flash it, but you would need the rest of the sappimg to do that. You could try finding a proper RUU for your device and running that from your computer with your goldcard in your phone, and then start over with rooting.

Possible Fix?
I have a similar problem, but unlike mine, yours can be fixed. You do not have a perfected spl, so I think that you accidently flashed a 32B sappimg for your 32A. You also need to put your goldcard in your phone. Problem is, if it fails, you'll be stuck at the RUU screen on your phone (which is basically fastboot) and you'll be kind of hosed.

S-ON and S-OFF

Today I accidently turned it on (the thing in the bootloader) and now I can't turn it off no matter what so I can do a revert to stock .img, I used the PDI15.img or w.e that would revert back to stock forgetting that I had the newest radio and now I can't revert to stock or turn S-OFF. Please help
Current Configurations:
GLACIER PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT - 0.86.0000
MICORP - 0429
RADIO - 26.09.04.26_M
eMMC - BOOT

When I use a PDIMG or w/e file it errors out as being old
Can you still boot? Like into your rom? If so just try rooting using visionary and using a root explorer to push the gfree files to data/local/ then just follow the normal rooting procedure

dude! I noticed this also this morning. I am rooted(using setcpu and root explorer just fine) but in hboot it says s=on. I was also wanting to flash the stock .img and start fresh. thought I was the only one having this problem. tried everything you did and got the same results.
What ROM are you on? AFAIK, gfree, requires the stock kernel to do what it does. How on earth did you turn S-ON? That sort of thing shouldn't just happen out of nowhere.
How is the progress on fixing your phone?

currently on Evil D mTGB v1.0, Faux 0.0.7 CFS lv leak kernel. everything works fine, no FC's or anything. just having the same issues as XxKOLOHExX. I really have no idea how it turned on by itself, I dont remember doing anything out of the ordinary
I was trying to get back to stock from the rom i was on. (MIUI) and when I used the stock .img though the bootloader it went all good till it rebooted, then it said failed because the file was old and now I am stuck with s-on and I don't know how to turn it off
How did you get to the stock bootloader? Did you have eng bootloader at one point? What meth of root did you use? Alot of info missing.
Now download the stock radio.img and push it via adb or just download the PD15IMG.zip (radio only not rom included). Once this is done you can revert back to stock rom/radio using standard PD15IMG.zip (radio+rom). Now depending on the type of root you used it would depend if you still have radio flag on/off even if your reverted back to stock bootloader.
PS: You can get PD15IMG.zip (stock radio) from master radio thread and PD15IMG.zip (stock radio/rom) by doing search.

It flashed the bootloader when I flashed the PD15IMG.zip, it just stop when I did the whole procedure. Nope never flashed an Engineer Bootloader. I used theunlockr.com sites method
I tried that, it uziped then tried to flash the radio then just went back to the original menu for the bootloader
If you used the VISIONary+ (TempROOT) and root.sh (PermROOT) meth then you already had engineering hboot (0.85.2007) pushed though terminal on "/dev/block/mmcblk0p18". Now you did something in between is what I would like to know.
As you flashed new radio (26.09.04.26_M) which I am clear. But what I like to know is how did you end up with default hboot (0.86.0000)? If you had S=OFF you didn't lose it via flashing new radio. Which PD15IMG.zip did you install? Now when you say PD15IMG.zip what do you mean? It can be anything as its default mt4g system based image. Stock PD15IMG.zip = (Sense 2.2.1 Rom/Radio 26.03.02.26_M). Did you install leaked PD15IMG.zip from Panache? or GB2.3.3S?
Are you not 1 of the Royal dev's? who try to take over Silence's IG if I recall. I am just assuming here but this is why you do "NOT" dump system image via hboot. What you should have done was do complete total system wipe (format /data; /system) and then flash new edify based CWMR flashable rom.

Yeah I know that, I Was trying to go back to stock everything using the unrooting method(PD15IMG.zip). Using this file I was able to get through the first step and it rebooted, then it went back to bootloader and now it won't take the PD15IMG.zip saying that it is an older file. Yes I am one of the devs, That's why before posting I tried everything I could think of, gfree, old unrooting methods, etc. I didn't use a dump lol I'm not that noobish haha
Thats where you got owned as the PD15IMG.zip (stock rom/radio) just reverted back to hboot (0.86.0000) from eng hboot (0.85.2007). While you attempted to go further you couldn't do to security turning on (S=ON). Now this normally wouldn't be problem but since you had newer radio (26.09.04.26_M) it wouldn't replace it with old.
All you had to do was follow few simple meths which you should have learned it over the years. Go back same way you came by first reverting back to original radio image and then after doing complete system wipe you should have reverted back to original factory based via stock pd15img.
Ill post back with solution soon let me think this out. I don't want to brick your phone trying to manually push the radio.img nor the eng_hboot.img. As if you try to push radio now would fail on write and give you hard brick. Since S=ON and if you try to push eng_hboot.img who knows what will happen as no R/W access on mmcblk could could also fail thus giving bad flash which can also brick the device. Ill see what happens and post back at... you folks just made more extra work for me.

lol sorry for the extra work, just dont wanna have the chance of bricking my phone but like XxKOLOHExX I wanted to revert back to stock from mTGB using the stock PD15IMG_Glacier_TMOUS_1.17.531.2_Radio_12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26_M_release_155771_signed. everything he described is happening to me also, step by step. I rooted with the visionary+ and permroot method(unlockr). I did download and flash the 26.08.04.30 radio. heres what I see in hboot
GLACIER PVT SHIP S-ON
HBOOT-0.86.0000
MICROP-0429
RADIO-26.08.04.30_M3
eMMC-boot

so what youre saying is that we should try flashing the stock radio first, wipe the whole phone(including sdcard?), then flash the stock PD15IMG? Ill give it a shot real quick, thanks
*edit* hboot wont even let me flash the stock radio, itll say checking but wont actually let me update it
Well clarknick27 the problem here is that root.sh to gain PermROOT via VISIONary+ just push the 0.85.2007 eng hboot and giving temporary S=OFF, the true security flag as we know it is controlled in the radio. So when you try to revert back using stock PD15IMG (rom/radio) it reverted back to the stock 0.86.0000 hboot thus turning on the security flag on.
What you all should have done is reverted back same way you installed it. Which would have been first use PD15IMG.zip (stock radio) and then use stock PD15IMG.zip (radio/rom). I still need some sleep lol I just wokeup after sleeping 2hours.
The MT4G I tested on I rooted it via VISIONary+ and then flashed GB Leak rom not the PD15IMG.zip (leak radio/rom) which contained the 0.89.0005 hboot. So after flashing stock radio PD15IMG.zip (radio 26.03.02.26_M) I was able to flash stock PD15IMG.zip (rom/radio) without problem. Which is same as I suspected even after S=ON due to same version radio no problem. If I had newer radio after that point it would be locked out. Let me go to sleep and wakeup and ill see what happens from there. As I have clean MT4G ill have to reroot it first.
BTW XxKOLOHExX and clarknick27 just in case my account gets disabled. Do the following and report it here and ill see from there.
1) Which working rom you currently have installed on the device?
I know trying to reroot using gfree may give you similar result as my test: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1066966 < not important but unable to root on newer rom.
2) What happens when you try to reroot it using VISIONary+ (TempROOT) and root.sh (PermROOT)?
Did you try it? If so what is the end result? so post back. Ill check and go from there.

1) currently running Evil D's mTGB v1.0 rom with Faux's 0.0.7 CFS LV leak kernel. tried rooting with visionary and terminal first, no success. I then tried out the gfree method, and got "Attempting to power cycle eMMC...failed. Module failed to load: No such file or directory."
2) I installed Visionary using Astro file manager, then run Visionary. I click on "temproot now" and it starts, but then the screen goes black and doesnt do anything. I have let it sit on the black screen for well over 15mins before with no luck. I can click on "attempt to permroot" and it will ask for permissions and reboot and everything. my s=on but I still have root access and 0.86.000 bootloader. this is what I see using terminal before rebooting to see if s=off
Did you do the Radio S=OFF using gfree? If so that would explain why you still have root as security is disabled on the device totally. If thats the case then just push the eng bootloader manually via adb or though terminal and reboot. For now XxKOLOHExX is locked lets see what I find ill post back for him.

[Q] I'm a little lost--could use some help

First of all, my phone is the T-Mobile myTouch 3G 1.2 32A with the headphone jack and all that.
So I've been trying to flash new SPLs, radios, ROMs, and recoveries, and I've messed things up. I could use some help because I'm totally lost at this point.
The main issue I'm having now is my phone is hanging on the green myTouch 3G screen. I CAN load into fastboot, however. I've been flashing radios and recoveries, but I can't seem to get the phone to boot.
The current readout at the top of my fastboot looks like this:
SAPPHIRE UNKNOWN 32A ENG S-OFF H
HBOOT-1.33.2010 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO-3.22.26.17

I recently flashed the x.26.x radio because I saw some people saying that helped... I think. But I've been using this fastboot commander (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=824435) to flash back and forth between the "old" and "new" packages of spl and radios.
Oh yeah, and the recovery I last flashed was titled "recovery-RA-sapphire-v1.7.0H". Didn't seem to help my issue. Still not able to get into recovery, only fastboot.
I assume since I'm still able to flash radios and such that I'm not totally screwed, so if someone could point me to the correct files or something, that would be much appreciated. At this point, I'd settle for resetting this thing to factory settings. Whatever it takes to make it functional again would be nice.
Please help! Thanks in advance!
Stop what you are doing!
Find and flash the 1.33.0013 or 0013d spl, a 2.22.x radio and they version of amonra recovery from fastboot. Then you sould be back up and running.
These files are easy to find but ill get you links if you have trouble
OK, I've downloaded what seem to be the correct files. I'll try those out, but for right now it seems my battery is too low to continue. I'll let you know if I have any more questions when I try later, though! Thanks for replying!
Well, I tried those files with no luck. Perhaps you could link me to the right ones? Maybe I got it wrong.
Anyway, my fastboot readout now shows:
SAPPHIRE PVT 32A SHIP S-ON G
HBOOT-1.33.0013 (SAPP31000)
CPLD-13
RADIO-2.22.28.25

Same issue. I turn the phone on and it hits the green myTouch 3G screen. Then it sits there. I left it for about 20 minutes and there as no change. I'm not sure what could be wrong.

Still can't get into recovery. I'm currently having trouble getting files onto my SD card. I think you can manage files through the fastloader while connected to USB, but I guess I need drivers for that. I can't seem to find those. :/
If I could get that to work, I could try flashing a ROM. The last ROM I had on there was Cyanogen 6, though.
I was able to get access to my SD card through other means, but how do I flash a ROM from fastloader now? I tried putting an update Zip file in the root. Not sure if that's right. :S

Roms are flashed through recovery.
So if you dont have a working recovery or rom then you'll have to restore to stock then re-root
Put this on your sdcard and name it sappimg.zip and pot your phone with volume down + power
