I am not sure if this happened to anyone else, but after I updated, it reset and turned off my alarm clock. I only noticed because I checked, as I don't have my alarm set on the weekend.
Just a heads up if you use the phone as your primary alarm, check it out and make sure it's still set.

Im struggling to solve a problem I have with my new phone...
I cant get the alarm to switch on!
Ive set it from the clock shortcut and double checked the setting...Ive also tried to set the alarm via the phone alarm program and that too does not go off.
The alarm notification under the clock never indicates that the alarm is set even though Ive set it correctly...
Im struggling to solve this issue and as Im new to the phone and Im unsure if Ive changed a setting unaware but from what I can tell it should work.
Am also having this problem and was just wondering if you have a fix for this yet?
Cheers.
Not quite the answer to your request..... but to be honest why bother with the built in alarm when you can get an excellent free alarm utility that does much, much more.
I use G-Alarm which you can download here.
ahem!
are you aware that on the alram menu, to activate an alarm, you have to check the square on left and to check also (they have to be greyed) the days when the alram occurs?
maybe this is your problem
on the other hand, integrated alarm is so limited.
much better to use 3rd party application
Does anyone have the issue of their alarm not showing up on the homescreen, even though it is turned on when you bring up the alarm setup screen? My alarm doesn't work, nor does it display, and when it says it is on. Does anyone have any insight, or fix to this problem. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
compare the alarms you set in htc with the alarm details in
settings menu all settings clocks and alarms
you may well find that one set has different alarm sound set, which may or may not even exist.
I have also seen winmo have problems with alarms if you leave the message box blank.
That unfortunately did not work, they both have matching "ringtones" and also the same description, but it doesn't show up. Any other suggestions?
in settings menu all settings sounds and notifications, notifications tab in the event drop down, select "reminders" and ensure show on screen is ticked.
oh and in clocks and alarms, alarms tab, make sure "sound even if phone is set to silent" is ticked (or words to that effect)
make sure the "S" for Saturday which is today is selected.

Mine is working fine.

That answer was almost cute... almost.
Simple solution, ready...? G-Alarm. OR, OR, OR... SPB Time.
I have this same issue, and it is not a specific rom that this bug is in because I tried a few different ones and the problem still occurred. It seems like the alarm will only turn on if you set it for the next day. If you set it two days from now then it won't show up as it being on.
Hey guys,
Has anyone managed to get the smart alarm to work?
Everytime I set it up the regular alarm rings, which is too bad since I liked the smart alarm tunes. Not too much information out there about this.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
My smart alarm works, my only issue with it is that snooze won't work when smart alarm is activated.
Seconded. I cant seem to get my smart alarm to work either. Any insight on this?
The Smart Alarm is in addition to the regular alarm. For example, if you set your alarm for 7:00 am and set the Smart Alarm for 3 mins, the Smart Alarm will start off at 6:57. Then the regular alarm goes off at 7:00 in case the SA hasn't woken you up yet.
I also noticed that if I fiddled with the alarm tone at all, the Smart Alarm would uncheck itself. When you've finished making all the alarm adjustments that you want to, go back and make sure Smart Alarm is still checked.

Ha thanks! Evidently when testing this alarm, i was setting the alarm for 2-3 min ahead of time, so the smart alarm didn't have a chance to go off before the regular alarm. Guess i just though that the time set was for the smart alarm to go off not 1-30 min with the smart alarm, then the regular alarm sounding at the end of the set period. This should be put in a FAQ methinks. Doesn't outline it in the user manual...IDK maybe it's just me.
It's not just you. I totally agree that it should be in the manual. I had to run a Google search to figure that out.
I set the alarm and it simply did not work.
Here is what I did:
From one of my panels, forgot the name but there is also a "Professional" version of this one, I click on the default date/time/appointment icon.
At the bottom I click on Alarms.
I go to the first alarm and set it.
I go to the 2nd alarm and set it.
Alarm #2 worked one of the 2 days I set it for.
Alarm #1 did not work at all.
I also checked the box "Sound alarms even when the device is set to vibrate or silent."
Any suggestions or should I just throw this phone in the river!!!
I am getting close to that point.
Hello, so I've been encountering this issue for about a week. Apparently my phone's thinking an alarm was set (thus giving icon on status bar and info on the quick settings), but that alarm clock was never set (at least by me). That alarm also never rings because every around 2 minutes it adds the time (or "snoozes") for 15 minutes. Example: It's 4:30, then that alarm will set to 4:45. But on 4:35, that alarm will change the set time to 4:50.
It's so damn weird that I can't figure out what's wrong. I've tried restarting, force stop alarm app and clear data. I'm running Android Pie with latest March 5 security update.
Is there any way to remove that alarm? Frankly, it does nothing bad, but it's really annoying to see alarm icon but I don't set it. Any help or assist will be super appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Facing Same Issue
Even I am facing the same issue and it's weird as hell and irritating too. Can someone help in it
Connect phone to the PC and type this command
Code:
adb shell dumpsys alarm
You will see all the alarms and which app set them. You can consult this page for more detailed explanation https://stackoverflow.com/questions...-shell-dumpsys-alarm-output/31600886#31600886
