newest superuser force close on gingerbread - EVO 4G General

As the title states I keep getting force close errors with newest superuser app on the latest gingerbread update for the evo.
Cleared data in settings- app
Fixed permissions in amon RA
tried to force fix superuser
All same issue. Its getting really frustrating. Help......

Same issue. It gives the allow/deny pop-up for the first root prog you run, then it fc for all programs that try to pop up the allow/deny.
If you clear all data for superuser it works again, but only for the first and sometimes second programs again.
However, if you've done allow and remember, it will keep letting that program get root. It seems that just the GUI pop-up is fcing.

Found this too on Twitter from another Evo user:
DrMacinyasha: @ChainsDD The first app that causes Superuser to do the "requesting access" popup, it works fine. On the second app that requests, it FC's Superuser every time. Wiping Superuser's data is the only solution I've found.

Well, that's the last straw for me... I'm waiting at least 2 weeks before I flash this.

Same problem here.

New superuser flashable zip posted in the forums by drmacinyasha. This seems to fix the fc issue. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1110733

[Q] Anybody else getting Superuser forcecloses?

I did a mass update of a lot of my apps today and all of a sudden I'm getting superuser crashes on all my apps that require root access.
Specifically 'The application superuser permissions (process com.noshufou.android.su) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.
I'm getting this for all root apps.
Ideas?

Download Rom Manager from market unless you have it already and there should be a option in there

I tried to fix permissions and the superuser app crashed again.
Can't get any worse, so try clear data and cache in SUpermissions.
Setting>manage applications>SuPermissions>clear data
This will necessitate a re-entry of all the white-listed aps into Supermissions. So tap SuPermissions and allow..

Broken market...fml

Anything I download on the market gets stuck at the "starting download" phase. I have tried Googling answers and nothing is working for me.
My market was fine before I applied the OTB test4 ul 1300 then updated back to my OTB 1.1 lv 1200 , which was stable for me, due to freezing issues with that test4. Any help would be greatly appreciated. . .

Try clearing data/cache for the market.
Did you uninstall Google talk services or anything else similiar besides the actual app? Because that breaks the market downloading.

I used to have this problem all the time and it seemed like it was something different that fixed it on each occasion. Try clearing all market data and cache. Try backing up the APK, uninstalling it, and again clearing data/cache before replacing it. At the worst, use Titanium Backup and start over from scratch.

Ahh crap guys... I'm at work and yeah I've tried clearing the cache. I didn't uninstall anything recently either... what's this APK? I could teach myself how to do what the last poster said if I was pointed in the right direction.
Much love

My market is currently broken too with the exact same situation... I have reflashed the ROM and Kernel with no luck... And have also messed with cleaning the cache... I cant download Titanium backup currently from the market and I'm out of energy to try that until the morning but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated...
I often have problems with this but I find that being on wifi really helps. If that's not available then if I start then stop the download it eventually will go through.

I fixed it in my case by reinstalling rom with caution

vending.apk -- the application file itself which is located in /system/app/. You can back it up by using the adb pull command if you're familiar with adb, or just copy it to your phone's SD card using Root Explorer or terminal commands.

Gallery force closing

My gallery on my Droid X suddenly started force closing as soon as I try to open it. It did this once before for a few days and then just started working again on its own. It tries to open and then just closes. I tried restoring it through Titanium but that hasn't worked. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Or what is causing it? Other gallery apps from the Market work fine so I don't think it is the SD card.

Try fixing permissions.
Try using the 3d gallery instead
How do I fix permissions? Yes I have been using other gallery apps but I was used to the stock gallery.

Open up ROM manager and theres "Fix Permission" listed. Just click it and it will fix permissions. When it finishes a prompt will appear to reboot your phone.
I did the permission fix with ROM manager and that didn't work. Any more ideas?

Have you tried a factory reset? Just make sure you have your gmail and when the phone reboots put in your gmail and everything you had before will come back. I know a lot of times when stuff quits working you have a bad app download too. But try the factory reset first.
In your file explorer open the dcim folder. Check for any odd files (data) and delete them. Go to settings>apps and find gallery. Open here, clear data and cache & force close. Exit and reopen gallery from app drawer.

[Q] Having some issues, please help!!!

Hey guys Im having some issues with my mt4g. Every time I try to open apps like facebook or twitter it says "An error ocurred while loading this page" and gmail says No Connection. Even if Im on wifi its the same. I have a nand backup from a couple of days back and even if I restore it its no use. Can still use the browser though.
I have been using LCDDensity for Root app and Root Explorer but only used it to search for something. I do not know if it has something to do with the problem.
Please help.
Try uninstalling Facebook and then install it again from the market, not a backup. It sounds to me like you may have corrupted the android_secure data. That is where the system manifest of what apps are allowed to access is located. These permissions are not the same as file system permissions. These are the list of things you are shown when downloading some thing from the market, like hardware permissions: read/write sdcard; or full internet access.
If the reinstalled app works, then I would think that all installed apps will have issues.

Was going to try that but the Market was having problems too. So I reflashed the ROM and everything is working fine for now. Thanks anyway.

Strange behavior after rooting my device

Hey folks.
I've just gotten aware of the fact that Superuser does not really work on my device.
Not that the apps dont have root, it's that theres no Superuser popup when an app wants it.
Also, the app-list in Superuser is blank. No entry whatsoever.
Apps that use root work w/o any problems. (Titanium Backup, Adaway, Adblock for example)
I've used http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448887 to root. ioroot8 at that time if I remember right.
Superuser itself says that the new binarys(checking for update) wont work.
So I assume that my whole freakin phone runs with root-access. Any tips? Delete Superuser and reroot ?
I had this after giving super user access in one application then changing my super user app. To fix it I downloaded supersu and went to options then choose uninstall and change super user app. Then I downloaded supersu from market and used titanium backup top clear it's cache. Coincidentally you can setup most su apps to allow root without notification. You can go this as long as you only user apks from market and ones you trust.
