Hi,
Is it true there is no two year global warranty if I buy galaxy note outside UK (or Europe) now ???
Because I ordered note from negrielectronics and it was shipped from Hong Kong.
If it it true, I would sell and receive the other one which I ordered through UK website.
Thanks in advance.

In order to qualify for Samsung's global warranty two conditions must be met:
1) The device is purchased in its country of intended sale.
2) The device is purchased from an authorized Samsung retailer/reseller.
Should it need service, you'll have to ship it back to the UK. Once it's received, Samsung will ask for a receipt showing the purchase in the currency of the country of intended sale and/or a credit card receipt. They also know which serial numbers were dispatched to which resellers. They frown on grey market sales and are very strict about warranty claims on international devices. There are cases in the SGS2 forum where warranty service was denied because both 1 and 2 above weren't met. Many resellers claim the warranty is in effect but, unless both conditions above are met, it's simply not true. I did a lot of research on this before I bought my ISGS2 in May and it's the reason I just bought a 3G G-Tab from the UK.
does this cover anything more than dead on arrival kind of hardware problems?

It covers all manufacturers defects for two years. No matter where you buy it, a reputable seller should/would make good on DOA issues.
Hey
If i was to purchase an S3 in Australia Sim free. And when i return to the UK i find a fault, am i able to make a warranty claim in the UK?
Also, is the S3 easy to change the brand from Australia to say a European one?
Thanks

I don't think so no but don't quote me on this. Depends on whether you're buying it directly from sammy or not. Or if all else fails ask sammy themselves

Likewise OZ warranty not valid in EU/UK.
Easy to change rom /modem to UK .

Also on return to the UK your screen will be upside down.
Can anyone tell me where I can get official confirmation that the SM-910C is a European model and SHOULD be covered by Samsung UK warranty - they are playing silly buggers and are requesting confirmation!!

It is usual to have a European or even a worldwide warranty.
However, if you purchased the phone within the Uk from a Uk based supplier then your claim is with the retailer under SOGA.
Slovenia also has 910c and country is EU member

I've got a N910C XEO (Poland), just received it today :victory:. And there are stickers on it saying "European Model" and it's written "European Sim Card Only" on the box.
Hello!
Ive got a slight problem with varranty service in Poland.
Ive bought my s7 edge in UK, im living currently in Poland and ive got the pink line screen issue. Regenersis (part of CTDI) denied varranty fix claiming that they dont have required parts taken the phone was purchased abroad.
So my question is: are there any physical - part wise difference between G935FZBABTU and G935FZBAXEO? is the part-code for the screen different for the two?
AFAIK the difference between csc code is who supplied the phone.
Btu is direct unlocked from Samsung.
Xeu is unlocked from Carphone Warehouse.
I've just had my s7 edge screen replaced due to the pink line by CPW.
What I would check in your circumstances is if a manufacturer warranty is country specific.
It's the original sellers responsibility to uphold the manufacturer warranty and not Samsung.

Actually within EU, you have 2 warranty options and you have the choice of accessing either. Manufacturers warranty and sellers warranty. In this case, for sellers warranty the op would have to ship the phone per sellers instructions. If they access the manufacturers warranty, get in touch with Samsung Poland and they will refer you to their national repair service provider partner.

Yes I did. Bought it at launch. For the same price as in the US, I got a fast wireless charger, OEM case, Bluetooth speaker, and cash voucher thrown in. Quite a good deal I must say.
I split my time between the US, Europe, and Bangkok. I don't get my phones in the US anymore (from AT&T) because they are locked, have less LTE bands and, most importantly, don't offer dual SIM versions!
SM-G950FD, Dual SIM.
Bought in Singapore, Carrier is StarHub.

That's nice. Did you buy from Samsung shop or other retail? I want to get Thai CSC. Does the firmware include any localization for Thai?

Samsung Shop. Bought online, collect at a local Samsung Shope (@ Siam Paragon).
I believe the CSC does include localization, I just don't use it. I prefer everything to be in English.

That means it was imported from United Arab Emirates. I also think it means you don't have any warranty service in Romania from Samsung.

Well that kind of sucks... I have 2 years of warranty from the seller so no huge issue but still. At least I hope that the quality control for UEA is better then Eastern Europe. The phone looks to be good with no bloatware installed and I am planning to root and install custom ROMs so bye bye warranty anyway...
Thanks for the reply though.

It was easy to answer, as I have XSG myself. I ordered mine from Dubai, as FD is not available here in Finland.
