New Firmware Update available for Indian Tabs

Hi,
Yesterday I connected my tab to the PC and Kies. Popped up saying new update found...everything went smooth and my tab is now updated to the latest as below...
PDA: P1000DDJK3
PHONE: P1000DDJJ1
CSC: P1000DDJJ1
Quick things i have noticed -
1. the gallery app not closing and consuming battery seems to be still there...though percentage battery consumed seems to be lower...
2. Overall battery management seems to be better...draining more gradually than before with same level of usage...
3. Nfs shift game is now visible in samsung Apps where previously there was nothing...

Hey where can i find this Firmware,
I had Indian version Galaxy tab with the same one that u mention...
But i change it and now i want that back desperately...
So pls pls pls help me out.....

The date for the original thread is 12 Dec.. This update was available around that time. The current 2.3.3 update is yet to come in india.

I am trying to update firmware I am getting the error after update.
I tried various Froyo and GB ROMs including this one. Earlier I was Official Indian Froyo. And it was non-rooted.
Now I am stuck at download mode.
Please help.

[Q] Is it worth upgrading from JF3 to JPY

Hi there,
I've a galaxy s running 2.2.1 I think, kies reports the current firmware version is JF3, but the latest is JPY.
I only got it to this state last week, and am not sure I can be bothered upgrading and having to set up bookmarks etc again.
Can anyone tell me the benefits of JPY compared to JF3?

you can check the android version in "about this phone", not only the firmware code name.
Any Android 2.2.1 *stable* (not leaks) for the Galaxy S is fine in my opinion. Changes are usually minimal from version to version.
But i'm not sure if JF3 is 2.2.1.

Jf3 is 2.1, a really slow version.
Upgrading to jpy is deffinetly worth it.
You get tons of new things like flash player.
And its much, much faster.

[Problem] DHD cannot update to 2.3

hello,
i have problem with my dhd, i bought it like 2-3 months ago from official store in indonesia, and i never root it,
the current build number : 1.72.405.3
and it's running android 2.2.1
the problem is, when i run the system software update and tap the check now button, it says my update is current..
well, all i know that my friends did update their dhd to gingerbread..
any solution or same problem?

Hmmm that's really odd, just try to go to a service center there and just have it flashed manually by them or just root your phone and then flash any custom GB build (which is better IMHO than stock ones).

Maybe the OTA update are available in Indonesia only, root it and flash the latest ROM or latest build, like using Virtuous Unity or CoreDroid rom

Just flash it, it is nicer than the stock roms and you have possibilities.

[Q] Has everyone got their Gingerbread updates?

Hi, I've been using my Droid2Global and successfully updated to Gingerbread OTA.
I was so fond of it so I encouraged my girlfriend to get the Droid series,
and she got Droid Pro (apparently she is more of a BlackBerry type)
She's been using it in the USA for couple of weeks and then she brought it back to S. Korea (in Asia, in case it matters) (She is Korean)
and she's been using it for more than a week now and still hasn't got any update notification.
I understand it's been about a month since the release and it takes a while for it to reach some of the users.
I was just curious if everybody's got their updates (or at least an OTA notification even if you didn't want to install it)
Should I do something about it? or should I just wait for the update to come automatically?

nice ! if someone could extract RIL+modem as a cwm zip or odin flasheable its should be nice to try and replace the old LD3 modem running on my neat 4.3 LSD :laugh:

I'm running neatrom 4.0 based off the jellybean leak and love it. Would it be a good idea to flash the modem from this rom since I'm on virgin mobile in ontario and if so how do you do it?

Flash LQ6 Modem is the best for us in Canada,better then MUGMA5:good:

Where you find that modem? I'm running a pretty old one... Don't remember which one as my mom uses the phone now and not me.
I wonder if we'll see ROMs based on this firmware... Man I miss my S2 now. So much more fun and stable than LG Optimus G, custom ROM wise.

Pulling the battery out with it on still results in a bootloop. Looks like that is not fixed.

SIM network unlock pin
just updated mine to JB via kies and now its asking for a SIM network unlock PIN... I can dismiss it and access the menu and homescreen and all but I cannot make or receive any calls. There are two other people who seem have the same problem
Please help!

As mentioned in a few threads, download GalaxSim Unlock from the Play Store. This will fix your problem.
