Official Firmwares for the Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS GT-I9082L (Latin Variant)
These are NOT all the firmwares; here will mainly be base, unbloated, unbranded, universal ROMS.
LATEST BUILD
BUILD: 2212586
FIRMWARE: I9082LUBUBMK2
OS VERSION: 4.2.2
REGION: TTT - Trinidad & Tobago
Carrier: Unbranded
Notes:
- UNBRANDED/UNBLOATED!
- New "Galaxy GranD" Splash Screen
- Brighter Display
- Gradient Notification Bar
- Better/More Readible Text Layouts: Weather widget, Settings/Menus, Google Search bar
- Minimum UI & Sound changes (Notification/Pop ups, Keyboard sound, Gallery Swipe sound, etc.)
- Homescreen Lag Fixed
- Improved light effect
- GPU driver upgrade: Images now are displayed with higher resolution.
Samsung seems to have done some upgrades to the GPU, for in the past I'd load a High Resolution Wallpaper and it would pixelate, now, it looks great, the same goes with the lockscreen light effect, a bit smaller effect, buta noticeable higher resolution. Overall... this factory firmware feels like its a custom ROM. Touchwiz feels light, the notification pane is silky smooth. Nice. So far, the best one yet.

*** I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS RESTORING TO THIS BUILD: I've always used Titanium to restore My Apps and Data, but this build, and for the first time, it completely lagged my device. So if you install this and want to restore, do not restore it's data.***
Install Update (1/10/2014): I figured out that by 'upgrading' from any of the previous build to this one, no such lag is present. A fresh install from a fully wiped phone has yielded several devices to lag, but after several tries as an "upgrade", no lag issues have presented.
BUILD: 1839656
FIRMWARE: I9082LVJUBMJ1
OS VERSION: 4.2.2
REGION: Brazil
Carrier: Tim Mobile
Note: This is a branded build for Tim Mobile-Brazil. It comes with Tim Media Bloatware as well as several Samsung ones as well. Performs well, though knowing from previous experiences, branded firmwares don't perform as good as unbranded ones. But, currently it's the only 4.2.2 released for the Galaxy Grand L.
BUILD: 1342590
FIRMWARE: I9082LUBAMH1
OS VERSION: 4.1.2
REGION: Trinidad & Tobago
Carrier: Unbranded
Note: Testing
BUILD: 1272899
FIRMWARE: I9082LVJAMF1
OS VERSION: 4.1.2
REGION: Brazil
Carrier: oi
Note: As quick as the I9082 4.2.2 Scored 9200+ on Antutu Benchmark, but has some bloatware. Some are pretty cool, but portuguese.
BUILD: 1248672
FIRMWARE: I9082LDCAMF1
OS VERSION: 4.1.2
REGION: Unknown
Carrier: Unbranded
Note: No Bloatware. Very quick. Much better than I9082LUBAMC2.
BUILD: 1091514
FIRMWARE: I9082LUBAMC2
OS VERSION: 4.1.2
REGION: Chile
Carrier: Unbranded
Note: No Bloatware. Super Smooth.
it's works on i9080 too.
Are you working on the L variant?
Thanks !
Thanks for the Stock Roms, I'm from Chile and I have installed:
BUILD: 1091514
FIRMWARE: I9082LUBAMC2
OS VERSION: 4.1.2
REGION: Chile
Carrier: Unbranded
And no problem with it, but with I9082LDCAMF1 I cound not find spanish language, so I've installed and app that turned my phone from english to spanish but no idea how to change the language in the keyboard cause there is not a spanish dictionary to use so I had to install the I9082LUBAMC2 cause this one comes with spanish language system and keyboard.
If you have any idea about how to change or add spanish dictionary to use it on the keyboard plz tell me how
Sry for my poor English.

Yeah, the problem is we don't get ETA by samsung...
I wish Dual-SIM was supported in Cyanogem Mod, that way we wouldn't need Samsung to update our device!

Yes, this is the reason why in the forum we post the latest firmwares.
There are several ways but the most common is with ODIN (Samsung Firmware Update Utility).
Odin Thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189539
Example Odin Flashing Guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=46440034
Basic Walkthrough:
1. Download and Decompress the firmware
2. Download and Install Odin on your computer (if you dont have Kies, it would be wise to install it for it's driver, option B: download Samsung device drivers.)
3. Load Odin, select the PDA tab and find your firmware, it should be in ".tar" form
4. Boot device in 'Download Mode', (Press VOL- / Home / Power)
5. Connect USB Cable to device and PC, press VOL+ to continue
6. Once a YELLOW Prompt shows up with a COM port displayed, PRESS "START"
7. Let ODIN Flash the firmware until the YELLOW Prompt displays "PASS" in GREEN.
Read the Guide first, this is just a quick walkthrough.
Good luck,
Paul

Factory Firmwares have everything included (kernel too), so you dont need to flash anything else. If you choose to flash a third-party or modded kernel, then you follow the same steps.

Kids should be able to read and use search .
You can report the post via the red triangle in the OP though it has already been reported .
It does not need moving just deleting as it has been posted for hours and hours and even modded .
jje
2 things:
1. If you didn't develop it, it does not go in Android Development, instead it goes in general.
2. This has already been posted multiple times so thread closed.

any one updated via this rom
Yes , I updated using this ROM and it didn't delete anything , all my apps were intact. Before updating i unrooted my phone ( reset using triangle aways and then unroot from super su app , i don't know how much this affects this). Before all of that i replaced my recovery to stock recovery.
Is this the official update from Samsung? The final build of it as well? I read in a swedish newspaper the 4.3 update had started rolling out officially from Samsung. Any critical bugs in the update so far?
I can install this one on my swedish note2 then? Doesn't matter that there is no swedish language since i use the english one.
Hi. Can I flash n7100 4.3 rom to dual sim N7102? Thanks!
Thanks A Million
I cannot tell enough how much I appreciate these resummable links. I hate sammobile and others so much for their hotfile, etc links. Some of us are from countries where we cannot easily subscribe for such services and also have bad internet as well. So most of the time we are left to search high and low for resumable links. Once again, thanks a million.
thank you for the links.
Quick question ----> I've restored my Note 2 to full official (system status normal, stock rom, stock recovery, counter 0 etc)
If I flash this official firmware via odin, will it increase my counter and or status?
Thank you in advance
I uploaded the file to another dropbox account as thank you, the current dropbox link is down.

Hey Bro.
I running android 6.0 beta but no new update for me ...
How update tu android 6.01
Just came to my phone as well. Downloading it now.
It would be great if someone could upload the rom if a dev could somehow use it to distribute it to the rest or maybe a system dump
It works, with a small starting issue.
Edge features are great. News (Yahoo only, can't seem to be able to change it) people, tasks, frequently used apps, stocks, tools (compass, ruler, flashlight), Twitter feed, sports scores (again Yahoo) Internet bookmarks etc.
Most everything can be customized and changed to suit your needs. One useful feature is locations and what you want the phone to do when you reach that location. I set mine to turn off wifi and BT and put it in vibrate when I reach work. I know, these things have been around for a long time but it's nice to have them in the Edge screen.
After the update was applied I was stuck on 2G for a while. Turning mobile networks off/on, swapping APNs and turning on/off roaming didn't help. I then opted to go for Automatic 3G/2G in network selection, which got me on 3G, then I switched back to Automatic LTE/3G/2G which got me back on LTE. I did not reboot, which may have fixed the issue. Just a headsup... I'm on ATT.
Smart Manager is now in Settings.
Not sure of other features... will dig some more, and of course test the battery life.
Had the 2G issue but rebooted it updated all fine.
Loving the edge features glad to see Samsung wake up and really introduce a killer feature. Now they need to keep up support, add even more cards and advertise the feature. Location feature is cool as is the compass although needs a calibration at each use.
Agenda card is awesome everything for the day and one click brings up the details.
Contact tab finally a direct call option plus lots of other options.
Only about 350MB download. OTA, its an awesome update 6.0.1 and January security patch.
is the lag still present any where on the UIs animations ?
Got the update zip for my 925F from the "/data/fota" folder.
Here is the link to the update: MEGA
Also I've managed to get the new sboot from the zip and pack it with the Tar-tool to the tar.md5 file in case it's needed for rooting.
Here is the link to the new bootloader: MEGA
Edit: changed the bootloader tar.md5, somehow md5 did not match on previous one. Sorry about that.
Link to the new one: MEGA
Battery notably better with heavy use, playing with app most the day.
I don't notice the lag but then I turn animations right down

As for the update.zip, it's not for the Odin but for the stock recovery.

i guess you may want to place the .zip file in data/fota folder and then try restarting phone, restarting into stock recovery or restarting to upload mode for SW updates.
good luck !
Yep, today XAR firmware update for kitkat us been released. It has updates and patches to fix known bugs and issues as of 02/17.
It is the most stable and secure kitkat available for our wifi note 8.0.
I am downloading now, but will be waiting for the BTU UK variant to be released, as it may have even later updates, and already set fir 13 channel wifi. Yep I be a lazy base - tard.
Its here! Galaxy Note 8.0 (WIFI) GT-N5110 BTU N5110XXSDQD1 Android 4.4.2 03.04.2017 1321607

FYI - I am based in the UK and my Note 8.0 has very surprisingly updated to 4.4.2 - first update in ages and very odd that it should be Kitkat and not something more up to date.
IMO, i am happy with each update of kitkat. Since the end of jelly bean, google has bollocks upped with each version.
Finally after a few years trying to get kitkat just right, I am able to. Now with the latest update, I am sure the few issues I still deal with will be corrected and finally have a smooth kitkat.
Can't say that for LP, MM, and New-guts. New is not better IMO if it is wonky and filled with security flaws. Plus I don't see any improvement across the board over kitkat. Kinda like do peeps like dealing with cheeky google? I just don't understand them, as much as they don't understand me. HA!
I didn't think about how long these file hosts take... so I recommend to use SamFirm to download your firmware. It is fairly new, and I suggest searching online for sites to assist with setup and function before finding a download. That is why i do not have a link or have posted a download attachment.
Small list of still active vulnerabilites after being fully tested.
Media server, Serialization, and stock browser.
I assume we may see another release of updated kitkat firmware late next year.
It does not bother me, having only two issues active. As for stock browser, who uses it anyway? I don't!
Why are you so happy with a 4.4.2 release of kit kat? Our Note 8.0's could easily handle Nougat...Right? So... help me understand, Why I with an ATT sgh-i467 should be content with my update, but not upgrade to something more.

If you're really dependant on your Note 8, you could upgrade to a Tab A with S Pen. These are currently running 6.0.1. I doubt it'll get Nougat, but maybe Samsung will release the S3 in a 8" form factor...

Because It works, no issues, and not effected by security issues since LP.
Also I have customised my 4.4.2 to be more robust like a tab 4, without relying on a customized build with issues.
So far I am the only one with a truly functional customised firmware that I am happy with.

I can't due to limits placed by ROM developers. As i had to mix 5 different ROMs to obtain what I have.
You can get a nice look by using the system ui. Though to get chrome to close when its tab closes, stock S5 libs have chrome customisations lib and some chrome cast drivers.
Plus some system apps to make gallery more robust.
I gave up on spen menu, as it did not bring much versatility since I removed stock browser because of it being unsecured with malicious scripts, and scrap book with smart clip just eat too much resources for what they are.
Can't remember which ROM I grabbed a cool one off flashbarservice app. The drawer is like the jelly bean version with a pull out tab and single row. Plus the short cuts are mini.
Using the tab 4 touchwiz and keyboard (that has left and right cursor control), though you loose automatic handwriting mode when spen is detached. It now becomes manually switched with the settings key.
I swapped out a secsettings app to allow access to default applications, as Samsung killed it in 4.4.2 for Note 8.0.
I enabled color blind, interaction control, grey scale, and accessibility shortcut menu. Though I can't have the shortcut menu activate or deactivate without a reboot.
Though the i467 has the features in the stock ROM, so obtaining the latest AT&T ROM, you can copy the system apps to allow some cool accessibility features developers over looked.
If I had permissions to allow copying and distributing custom apps and a few custom libs, i would as a complete ROM. But that is only half of it. I am not an android developer, and have no tools to properly create a flashable ROM to distribute.
