Hi,
I've just downloaded Fusion for my friends HTC Hero and it works much better than before. But I'm finding that the clock, calender and weather apps that Fusion comes with are not as nice.
I was wondering if there is a way to migrate those apps from my old OS (2.1) to Fusion (2.2). I have a Nandroid backup as well as a BART backup, so is there a way of grabbing those apps from the backups?
Thanks,
A

Hi all,
I was wondering if there's a backup tool for Custom Roms which are based on Topaz Rom.
I love the custom roms, but it's quite annoying to configure everything again after flashing my device, like email-accounts, Favourite contacts, Weather-location etc.
although, PIM Backup is a good backuptool, but it doesn't save Manila/TouchFlo3D settings
I hope someone can help me
Thx in advance,
****head
yeah pim2.8 should have been updated to support backup of many well known applications.
btw, you can create a list of files that you want to backup with pim2.8 and you simply restore them after the new flash
also, look into sashimi. its not popular with x1 users because it lacked wvga support. that however is not the case anymore as of version 8

PIMBackup 2.8 doesn't set my Favourite contacts back on Manila3D.
but it does backup/restore my contacts & messages, but my preferences on TouchFLO/Manila3D.
Hi, I've been looking around for a cooked ROM without SENSE UI because it drains my battery a lot. Also, I just love the simplicity of the Titanium.
So the question is where can I find a cooked ROM with Titanium.
Also, could I just remove SENSE and install Titanium
You can turn off Sense you know. Titanium is still around underneath
[Q] Backup and restore over different kernel based builds, sense & "clean" roms
Hi all, I'm running an Android build for daily use and I want to update it.. The kernel of this build I'm using is from the old branch, not from the EVO, and the ROM is "clean", so without HTC Sense.
My question is:
Can I backup my messages, contacts, bookmarks and other datas from my current build and restore they in a new build with sense or in a Evo's one like i always did with Titanium Backup in the past?
If Titanium Backup doesn't permit that, can you give me some tips?
I apologise for the errors you might find in this post However, thanks!
just copy over the data.img

Doesn't work always. I guess the build must be from the same dev. to copy it just over..
I don't think it will works.....
From my experience, Titanium is the best as for the things you want to do but it also comes with side effects if you will use a new build/release (lags, freezes, etc). So for less problems, try using the a build & series from the same dev of your current android.

ok mate thx for help but could i install new rom without sense and give to this rom( when i install this it install my programs) for example go launcher and other used programs. What should i do to have that effect?
You will need a Custom Recovery (Clockworkmod) to install a ROM without Sense. (Or any Custom ROM, for that matter)
An overview of the process, along with the ROM list (Divided on basis of whether they are Sense based or AOSP based) can be found here;

i recently installed some custom roms on my acer a500. in one of them that was base on stock rom there was an application named "musicA".
i installed a new rom base on motorola xoom and backed up the app by androzip and titanium backup. but none of them are installed on new rom. and it was such a great music search. and i cant find it on market. does anybody know where can i find the app? or a way to just make it work? (i also tested shazam and soundhound none of them was as good as the app)
i uploaded the file if u want to test it :-?
