Can't install "widget" on my i8000

Hi everyone
I tried to download Samsung Widget through the Widget app that is located on the default widget bar of i8000, but when i click install it said something like "errors occur when applying/installing the widget".
Actually, I have flashed my rom once and it is now a non-English version WM6.5.
I8000HZUJC1(it's not a lite rom, it's an official rom but released by the service provider, they only added some apps related to their service)
I've searched for similar issues on the internet and seems that not many ppl are having this problem, so was wondering, does anyone here have any idea or solution for this?

ok..I guess maybe I'm the only one who is still using Samsung's original UI (widget) ...

Did you use File manager or File Explorer when installing widgets?
For me, I'm using i8000 too but I cant install widgets through File Manager, instead i used File Explorer and it works....
You can try it out and let me know whether it works.

hi with the help of xda guys i have successfully flashed a custom rom on my htc tattoo (nFinityROM 1.18) but i have few queries regrading thies rom the first one is ANDRIOD MARKET ,and second one is VIEDIO resulation problem and third one is themes
1 How do i install andriod market on this custom rom
2 When i play viedio the viedio plays in very low quality the viedio gets hagged some times also but why i dont know or should i use any other 3rd part app to play them well
3 i have see one option ADW launcher-themes preferences i have only one defualt theme when i am trying to downlod a theme i says that it requried some app to do thies from were do i install thies APP FINALLY I convey my THANKS TO ALL XDA FORMS USERS AND DEVELOPERS

1 Download Google apps first than install them
2 rockplayer or arc media player both are fine
3 adw theme install via market

Hi all expert and senior
I am currently using Dexter's new PRIMEE p9-3 ROM.
This ROM don't have the original apps/games from Acer like NFS, Let's golf, etc.
How can I install these apps/games??
What should I do??
Do I need to create a update ROM just to install these games/apps.
Can I use the update.zip created from Taboonay kitchen into Dexter's ROM??

You can try, I am not sure if it will work... What I did when I moved from stock to dex was backup my apps using titanium, then restoring them after the ROM install.
Some people in "the other forum" (the one where Dex is still working) said some of those games does not work, like Let´s Golf, if I remember it right.

Hell Everybody,
I arrived on this forum because I have a question about my new mobile phone.
First of all let me say that I'm a total noob about Android and the mobile phones, in fact till this moment I only used Blackberry just I decided to go into Android because I feel that is good to have the control of the device you are using.
I bought my Motorola Defy Mini XT320 last week here in Beijing (I'm living and working in China and I'm from Italy). Well everything is good, just on this device is pre-installed the Shop4Apps market where I can't find any of the application I need... Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin (this one so much) and reading around seems that if you have a pre-installed market you can't avoid to use it (maybe I'm wrong).
What I want to ask is: how can I root my devide and also after this action which things I have to do in order to be able to take the applications from the android's market that I prefer?

Build number 02.19.08
I really hope that someone can help me, just I really feel that the mobile is useless if I'm not able to install the application I want...

Your phone is very new, and it can't be rooted right now.
I understand that it doesn't have Google Play (android market)?
You can't install the GMarket without root, I don't think.
Others, maybe you have a solution?
My suggestion is to sideload apps you want.
This is to download the APK files of an app, say DropBox, and transfer to phone.
Then install using file manager.

facebook and twitter unavailable in china
you'r still unable to use facebook and twitter with ordinary network in china because of the network block by the government, even though the apps are installed. but it can be solved with vpn or something like that.

perhaps you could try Aptoide, it's an alternative market with all types of apps.
Install included .apk as well as Aptoide Repos(Search Aptoide!), hope this helps.
Android is no fun with Shop4Apps.
These are the steps:
Install APtoide, followed by Repos.
Search for apps, they will ask if you want to add stores.
Select the stores you want to add, then update stores.
Open Aptoide then use as normal market.

[Q] Xperia Conversation.apk modded to work in JJ's Hybrid Rom?

Long time lurker; first time poster.
I was wondering if anyone had a way of getting the official Sony Conversation apk to work inside JJ's Hybrid Rom? I love his rom to bits, but my only gripe is the look/feel of the AOSP messaging app.
Solutions besides third-party apps?

The SE messaging named Conversation.apk located in system/app if im not mistaken, if you want to use it on other rom like JJ's rom you can push it to system/app of his rom but first rename it to the same name of the messaging he use.
