Official gb Notification Problem - Droid X General

So I just upgraded to official gb using method 2 from rooted stock group and now when I get a text message on gb, I get nothingin the notification bar and no led light or vibration.
So his can I fix this? And I use the stock messaging app if that helps.
Thanks!

Open the messenger and press the options button.
On the bottom is "Display messages notifications in status" on?

Yeah that's the first thing I checked and it's on. Any other ideas?

Idk if its just me but every time I get a new gmail notification I click it and see my message but still have the notification until I see my whole inbox. Why? It gets annoying -_-

That's android not the vibrant.did the same thing with my G1. Click the notification and look at the email but the notification will still be they're, then click back to go to the inbox and it goes away... A little annoying at first but I got used to it.

You can clear that gmail icon. Pull down the notification bar hit the clear button. That's all I have to do, icon and notification in drop down are gone.

[Q] Turn off LED Notification For Email

I would like to keep email notifications showing up in the top notification bar, but want to get rid of the LED notification. Is this an easy thing to do? Sorry in advance if it has a stupid easy solution.
Try "auto notification" from the market, it's .99 cents, it can turn off led from set time intervals. other than that, good luck.

I ended up using gmail notifier. It is a little free app , only for controlling gmail notifications. Seems to do the job

Click to collapse
Looks like the stock messaging app notification. Disable from settings in the app.

That's the stock sense SMS icon. Did you do a full wipe????

Check your handcent notifications. I think it has an option to use that icon for messages.
Also, when you pull down the notification bar, and select that message, what happens? It should take you to the app causing the notification.

Can't clear unread messages notification (CM7)

I'm running CyanogenMod7 on my UK Desire Z. I'm also running Handcent SMS. My notification bar is reporting 6 unread messages, even though I've been into Handcent and marked all threads as read.
How can I clear this notification?
The notifications you are probably seeing are from the stock sms app.
Do you still have the stock sms app installed?
If you do you will need to go in the message settings and turn of notifications.

That explained it - many thanks!

Multiple text notifications over same SMS message

For some reason when I get a text the message rings and vibrates as if I'm getting more than one text. I'm using stock MMS apk and running slimrom
