[Q] Turn off LED Notification For Email - Droid X General

I would like to keep email notifications showing up in the top notification bar, but want to get rid of the LED notification. Is this an easy thing to do? Sorry in advance if it has a stupid easy solution.

Try "auto notification" from the market, it's .99 cents, it can turn off led from set time intervals. other than that, good luck.

Thanks
I ended up using gmail notifier. It is a little free app , only for controlling gmail notifications. Seems to do the job

You can clear that gmail icon. Pull down the notification bar hit the clear button. That's all I have to do, icon and notification in drop down are gone.

Click to collapse
Looks like the stock messaging app notification. Disable from settings in the app.

That's the stock sense SMS icon. Did you do a full wipe????

Check your handcent notifications. I think it has an option to use that icon for messages.
Also, when you pull down the notification bar, and select that message, what happens? It should take you to the app causing the notification.

Notification light with Gmail app

Is anyone else's notification light not blinking when you receive an email in Gmail via Google apps account? I get the notification tone while the screen is off but the light never blinks. Works fine with AIM though. Just wondering if anyone has this issue. Thanks!

Open the messenger and press the options button.
On the bottom is "Display messages notifications in status" on?
Yeah that's the first thing I checked and it's on. Any other ideas?

[Q] App for Notification on pc?

Hi. I tend to keep my phone in a silent plus no vibrate mode at work. I wanted to know if there was an app that would let me know when my phone was ringing and text messages, so that I don't miss them when they arrive.
I've seen the android desktop notification, but that only shows what is on the notification bar.
I'd like something that informs me of calls too.
