Was reading a old 1 i guess.
I will try this.
Btw i need help :
Android / WP7 / MAGLDR don't support HSPL3.03/OSPL3.03.
You need HSPL2.08 to run Android / WP7 / MAGLDR.
So this mean i can't run Android!?

Easy answer... yes you can.
Look for the hspl4 tool and run it like you would run a rom upgrade. Make sure you have active sync working, meaning connection with your computer.
In the hspl4 tool you need to select hspl2.08 in the dropdown menu.
It will take a couple of seconds and should do no harm.
Some easy pointers in the correct order.
-radio should be ok since they flashed the latest rom
-install magldr
-install clockwork via 'usb flasher' mode in magldr
-install the correct partition size (depending on rom you want)
-place rom zip on sd-card and install via clockwork
reboot and go

Hi,
It's all explained pretty well here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893948
with links to the bits you need.

heheyea scary times! make sure you have a stock rom for backup and you're peachy
You can flash anywhere, you just need a Mac!!!

Arr, well im still hanging out with 1.48 for a while to even see if the jump to 1.66 is worth the hasstle.. Im guessing hspl will have to go on via some kind of VMware XP install... joy!
Can't you find a friend's Windows PC for the 5 mins it takes to flash HSPL?
Can't you run it through wine under linux?

[Q] [28.June.2011][MAG/cLK] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.8 [GRJ22/Android2.3.4]

I am trying to install [28.June.2011][MAG/cLK] NexusHD2-Gingerbread V2.8 [GRJ22/Android2.3.4][K: tytung_r10] by tytung.
MAGLDR 1.13 has installed correctly
Downloaded MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M.zip, but when I run DAF.exe file I get the following message:
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: Config load failed.
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (725)
Error Description: CONFIG: can't open config file
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (304)
My device has on it:
Device: HTC HD2
HSPL: 2.08.HSPL
Radio: Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14
Bootloader: MAGLDR 1.13
I previously had NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9G NAND and it worked fine.
I even reinstalled WM 6.5 and started from scratch, but still had same error as above.
Please Help
You are missing files on the zip file.
Go to this link and download the CMYLXGOs.ClockworkMod.Recovery.Partition.Setup.02.04.2011.RAR
then extract rapitool.exe and enterbootloader.exe to your MAGLDR_CWM_Recovery_v3.2.0.0_for_NexusHD2_135M folder.
Don't worry you are not replacing any files, these are the files that missing from the build.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915159
After you placed this files try to flash it again. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello shankar10,
I have done as you suggested (the files were already there, but I replaced them just incase), still have the same error message.
The only difference in the 2 zip files is the last file:
"recovery_3.2.0.0_leo.img" in the file you suggested and
"recovery-raw.img" in the file I downloaded from tytung.
Your help in this is most appreciated.

In that case, go to activesync, settings and disable allow usb connection. then right click on the DAF.exe and properties. Make sure the compatibility is not set to like windows xp SP2, in other words make sure to uncheck the compatibility.
Run as administrator, this should work.
just a word of caution, DO NOT REPLACE ANY OTHER FILES other than I specified above. Which are rapitool.exe and enterbootloader.exe

u can just use the tool kit and choose 135lb with 5mb cache ...its the same

Okay, I have followed the above. But I couldn't see on "DAF.exe" when right clicked, 'propertiies' or anything to change 'compatibility'. I use Windows 7 on my pc.
I have retried the whole process, but still the same error message! The phone currently has WM 6.5 on it. Surely, if I follow the instructions on tytung's thread and the files within the zip files are correct, it should work. so what am I doing wrong
Just a thought: I have "CotullaHSPL 0x50" rather than "CotullaHSPL 0x30" on phone, could that be the problem?
All other requirements as per tytung's thread are correct.
Okay: Splash screen after pressing vol dwn during power on =
PB81100 HX-BC
SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE
0x05
CotullaHSPL 0x50
Is this correct?

If you are flashing this ROM I think you may have the wrong version. This version is the one to copy on an SD card because it does not say "NAND" in the description.

hmmm interesting thought, however looking at the installation guide @ point 3
Flash Android ROM
Enter ClockworkMod Recovery when you're on MAGLDR 1.13 (hold "Power" button during boot) and select "AD Recovery" or "Boot AD SD" (if ever copied CWM's initrd.gz and zImage to SD).
Flash NexusHD2-Gingerbread_V2.8_NAND_(Android-2.3.4)_update.zip (85.27 MB)
the file name to download has "nand" in it!
If any of you can message tytung for me to confirm if it's nand or not, would be appreciated. System won't let me send a direct message as I don't qualify for that at this time
Or get tytung to email me directly at [email protected]
here is the document contains how to do clean installation. this might help.
Just want to make sure you have the international version right? not the T-mobile one?
let me know how did go.

Thanks Shanka10,
unfortunatly, after following the guide you provided, and flashing the ClockworkMod Recovery version posted in OP of TyphooN thread (run DAF.exe)
I still got the following error message:
An error has occurred
Read below for more information
Error Description: USB init failed
Info: .\RSPL\RSPL.cpp (736)
Error Description: EnterBootloader missing
Info: .\RSPL\BootLoader.cpp (176)
I did follow all steps correctly, even using all the files linked in the guide
My Htc HD2 is the international version.
I'm stumped for ideas, after following the guide to the letter, I still fail. I hope you can provide a solution.........

That's bad dude!
I don't know what else I can do. Do you mind doing a video of what you doing and upload it here. That might help us to see what's going on.
You really need to do some extensive search online, see if others had a same problem and how they resolved it.

I did manage to find another thread with similar problems and followed some of there actions, to no avail.
Its just really strange. I had Tytung's [26.JAN][DFT/CWM] NexusHD2-Froyo V1.9G [Android2.2.2][Kernel: tytung_r2_oldcam] installed on this phone previously and all worked well. Worst thing is, that I put WM 6.5 last night thinking that if I start from scratch and realy watch what I am doing then I might get it right, but now I can't even get MAGLDR 1.13 to go on it.
Sorry, but I don't have a vid cam to record & upload.
More searching I will do, but I am just not sure where I'm going wrong (and it's not that hard really and that's sooo frustrating)
Thanks shankar10 for your hepl though and others

No problem, glad to help.
One more thing, why don't you do a task29 and this will allow you to clear any partition and other junk.
then install the wm6 then do the Android. Currently I have the following ROM on my phone
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=915159
Try to install this and see if this works. Make sure you get the second one which is the international version.
Also, here is a video for you, this might help you a lot.

I'm not trying to question your intelligence but sometime we might forget to do a tiny step, which leads to big problem, so following this video will help you a lot to avoid those circumstances.
good luck
...and the continuing saga
Okay, I have reflashed an original HTC HD2 WWE 3.14 Rom.
Then:
Clean Install MAGLDR:
1. Task 29
2. Flash Radio(2.15 Recommended)
3. MAGLDR 1.13
..... (why me?) after lashing MAGLDER 1.13, reboot holding down power button, all I get is white screen with HTC on it.
So what would I have done wrong?
Radio is Leo 2.15.50.14

[Q] DAF. Cant install new ROM

Hi guys,
Big problem, I installed a ROM like 7 months ago this was a Engery i thought now i saw a new ROM with the new Sense
NAME:
HD2_NDT_MIUI_GINGER_DEVELOPMENT_V26.0_MAGLDR
But cant seem to install it. I did everthing installed HardSPL 2.08.HSPL and I can boot the bootloader of MAGLRD but what next I followed 10 newbie guides how to flash but they all say i should use the DAF.exe. I did I found one on my computer but if I run that he installs the old android ROM and I want the new one. I downloaded the new ROM but i only get the mapping with .data etc not a .RUU file or a DAF.exe file.
Please can some1 say what im doing wrong or forgetting? Desperate I flashed back to my old ROM but now I dont have wireless network so I cant be called or text
Thanks
download your rom and put it to your sd card (in zip format dont unzip it). then download the attached file by me, unrar it,
connect phone to pc,
in mgldr go to usb flasher and choose
be sure you see: usb flasher.....usb
in unrared folder right click on daf.exe and run as administrator
after installation is complete in mgldr choose ad recovery
choose: install zip from sd
choose:choose zip from sd
find your rom.zip .after installation is complete reboot.

Also, there is a third rom ATM, but it requires more work to get to the latest version. Although it allows for more flexible features and updating..

Try installing a better rom such as YukiXBMod, PDA's, or HD2O at 8107. I've been using WP7 and it has been by far the best OS I've ever used.
The speed of the phone also depends on your SD card. If it's sluggish, more than likely, your card isn't compatible.

all the roms available are in that thread. i'm using HD2O and it's fantastic. I'm not going back to Android. everything runs much smoother and i use my phone more rather trying to customize it like on the android.
and your SD card says only 200mb available because when you flashed WP7, it locked your SD card. there are only a few ways to unlock it.
i suggest you reflash WP7 again. It's a great OS.

you simply not read instructions (tutorial) how to install this ROM.... you already ask this question under ROM topic....
You are flashing the rom incorrectly.
Under the rom thread you wish to flash, please read the instructions first. All the Rom creators usually edit their thread to make sure the instructions are included. The instructions are also included in the DWI.exe file. You are just not reading it.
1. Turn off the phone completely.
2. Turn it back on and hold the shut down button until you reach the MAGLDR screen.
3. Press the green button on "USB Flash"
4. On your screen, it will load and say USB Flash ready!
5. Unrar the files and place them somewhere like your desktop.
6. Open "DWI.exe" and make sure you Ran it as ADMINISTRATOR.
7. Read everything or simply skim through it.
8. Keep clicking Next and watch everything finish on both your computer and phone screen.
9. Wait for it to boot up. It usually takes around 5-10 minutes.

Excellent and thanks very much. Too much head spinning information on sticky and almost gave up. Following linked guide took me less than 1hr and that including some partition errors + sd card not recognised msg on first try. Missed the part :
2.GO to services and activate the last 24mb of RAM
3.Also in services do format MBR
Now need activation. Just a quick one: can I change the sim(number) after received the code? Or the code is only valid for given phone number to MS chat agent?
cheers.
dont worry give your original number...code is valid only for the live account...
Actually, Activation works
Tried on different phones, different rom, different SN (all HD2 though) different sims (also no sim) and different live account. Activation just always works.
Code is for a live account.. But you can use it on another account after 30days if the earlier account stays unused / withdrawn.... So you can use it on different phones, and and yes on different accounts too.. The problem comes when you want to install the same app you have on one phone-live account from marketplace...again on another phone with same account.... It says already installed

Installing HSPL via SD card? Is there a way?

I have a HD2 with defective USB port – phone still able to charge but nothing going on if plug to my laptop. I have Windows on it and was able to install Android SD ROM on it – so no issue with SD ROM via Haret booting.
I want to install NAND ROM on it via MAGLDR or CLK but need to install HSPL first. Since I have defective port, I won’t be able to install HSPL 2.08 via USB.
So question to the group – Is there a way to install HSPL 2.08 via SD card?
No ........
bricked hd2

The answer is already there.
No USB = No HSPL.
Why don't you fix the usb port and make your life easier? Is it because you can't find spare parts or something else?
Anyways, regarding the main question I often wondered if flashing HSPL via SD card was possible... and the only way I would think of was GoldCard method.
Use a low capacity sd card to write the GoldCard.img to, place the HSPL (LEOIMG.nbh) on the root and flash it through tricolor screen..
To me, it sounds more or less right in theory, but never tried it.
Regards!

I have it if needed, but generally a user that already has HSPL installed and runs Windows Mobile can dump it using itsutilsbin
Code:
pmemdump 0x8ff00000 0x80000 hspl.nb
and then use NBHImageTool to create the LEOIMG.nbh.
Regards!
Im really amazed that if its so easily done, how come it hasn't been done a long time ago, , tons of people have been begging for an sd flashable hspl since 2010.

Probably because nobody ever asked Kokotas or one of the other half a dozen or so people who would have known this answer. And, just to clarify, I had no clue either.

Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

Hi guys,
I really don't know if it would work... I only shared my thoughts. And before that, I suggested the most logical thing: fix the usb port
Just because I described it in a sentence it doesn't mean that it's something easy. At least I didn't say it in such a way.
If something is easy, that is probably the part of getting the HSPL in nbh format. I could even attach it here (but because I have not tested it and people tend to mess things up first and ask questions later, I'd better not).
Code:
[EDIT1]
Ok, here is [URL="https://copy.com/yVKIi47MKUpm"]hspl.rar[/URL]. It contains the [B][U]dump[/U][/B] of hspl 2.08 and 3.03.
[U]It is not flashable![/U] Needs to be [I]converted[/I] to nbh format before any flashing happens.
[/EDIT1]
The not so easy part is to buy_revskills_psas, create_the_Goldcard & flash_HSPL_via_SDCard based ONLY on some stranger's (me) theory...
Code:
[EDIT2]
Ok, if you check samsamuel's next post, it seems that getting the goldcard.img is easy(&free) if you know the card's CID.
Writing that img to your card could probably be done by following [URL="http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17247902&postcount=2"]certain steps[/URL].
I can't stress enough that the hspl files and/or this theory are not tested!
So don't do anything that you will regret!
[/EDIT2]
Regards!

psssst http://samsamuel.co.uk/hosted/leogoldcard.php
That would be great. But I am already unbranded! Would it still work?
It would be nice to be able to repartition with magldr tho'.. .
Then all would be possible without a PC, nearly.
