Yes but the problem is that "access point names" can not access the SIM card in it, pull the sim out but then he opens it, add a SIM card for an APN to add.
He has this error: Unexpected error in android
I'm connected to network but could not use internet. Also, I'm always connected and could not disconect! Also, icon is always on screen
I'm confused...
Without SIM i can enter in APN to insert tha APN name (but without SIM i can't insert it because the system say "NO SIM detected, please insert it") & with SIM inserted the system show the unexpected error when i try to insert APN name...
I don't have understand how to proceed...

2. if I start android I in WM my sim have never unbolted card, today I have, however, done this and android started and it worked

Are you sure you upgraded to the latest ROM versions ?
A new (out of the box) XDA is not very good at GPRS without upgrading ...
I have Radio v. 4.16 an ROM v. 3.15.
But it works now for me, i did ask the same thing on a other forum
on http://www.pocketpc-club.nl/forum/index.php and someone said
that he used APN : live.vodafone.com instead of web.vodafone.nl
(since i have a VodafoneLive contract it makes sence dont you think ? )
Hi,
Just bought a secondhand XDA and have some problems connecting to the T-Mobile GPRS network here in Holland. Anybody willing to share their (working) settings? I have a GPRS-Active subscription, which is activated. The little G appears in the phone status window.
[Start] - [Settings] - [Connections] - [Connections] - Manage existing connections:
1 - Create New... geef het een naampje bijvoorbeeld TMOBILE
2 - Select a modem: Cellular Line (GPRS)
3 - Access point name:
bij GPRS Actief: internet-act
bij GPRS Intensief: internet-int
4 - User name: Password: Domain: NIKS INVULLEN dus leeg laten
5 - onder [Advanced] - [TCP/IP] kies: Use server-assigned IP address
onder [Advanced] - [Servers] kies: Use server-assigned addresses
Laat even weten of het werkt ?

Hi Tuurtje,
http://www.t-mobile.nl/persoonlijk/htdocs/page/help_en_support/FAQ.asp?helpid=190
APN: internet
IP-adres: Door server toegewezen IP-adres
DNS: Door server toegewezen DNS-adres
In geval dat DNS-adressen toch nodig blijken:
Primair DNS: 193.79.237.39
Secundair DNS: 193.79.242.39
Advanced connection settings: +CGDCONT=1,"ip", "internet",",0,0

Hi,
I've installled the latest version of TomTom 5.21 on my M3000 and it all seems to be working great except for one problem.
Even though my bluetooth GPS module and M3000 are paired, the first time I switch one off then I can never get them to find each other again. That means I have to delete the pairing, repair them and then re-create the COM6 port to get TomTom to see the GPS device.
Does anyone know why this is happening and whether there is any solution to this?
Thanks,
DM

i have the same problem reg my mda vario. loaded tomtom and using holux - works on other gps maps on same phone n same \bt receiver but not the tom tom. can u help
I had to set the incoming and outgoing ports both. Now it works fine.
Sorry but I only have a dutch explanation but you can use the following link to translate. http://dictionary.reference.com/translate/text.html
-Kies de optie "New Partnership".
-Kies de optie "New Outgoing Port"; voer hier "COM6" in.
-Wijzig Voorkeuren, Toon GPS-status > Stel in > Andere Draadloze GPS
-Selecteer COM6.
Hi
I read often thoses forums, but I never needed to participate until now, I think this new information need to be given :
In France since last week we have a new mobile provider : Illiad Free, named "Free Mobile"
I already suscribe to their offer, but as I'm on the Virtuous Affinity 1.48, I originaly install it for my last provider SFR, and I'm wondering if some parameters need to be corrected.
I'm wondering if all great developpers can add this new information on their rom, especially for my HTC DHD ...
Here are the information to configure it, I think, if something is missing, please ask me, I will try to complete :
New APN :
Name : Free
APN : free
MCC : 208
MNC : 15
APN for MMS :
Name : Free MMS
APN : mmsfree
MMSC : link I can't put because I'm new : mms-free-fr with "." instead of "-" and http before
MCC : 208
MNC : 15
APN Type : mms
Thank you
Do you think I need to contact some teams for this new information, or someone has it already done ?
Thanks
Hi Liell, and thanks,
I may appear a bit noob, what i am in fact, but where can i find the parameters to change? I mean where do i have to go to change APN for the Internet and APN for the MMS? My phone is a Diamond 2 running Windows Mobile 6.5

Hi!
I am a noob too here but, here are some points to notice, because I'm running on Android Galaxy S with ICS (thanks teamhacksung!) and had to configure Free mobile:
- App "Mobile Config" by "Free" on Android Market CAN'T write new APNs on Ice Cream Sandwich. You've to configure them manually.
- Do not write anything in other fields than the fields described above (It won't work... I've tested for you)
- For the first APN settings, if you don't have a radio button choice with "Internet", enter this in APN Type: "default, supl" (without quotes)
- And finally, do not forget to hit Menu > Save after editing your APN settings (Yes, I made this mistake at first, and searched like 5 minutes why it wasn't working... *Shame*)
Hope it might help somebody!
Thank you

Freemobile network problem?
For Freemobile network users:
Salut, je fait un copier/coller d'un de mes post avec des personnes qui ont des problèmes sur le réseau de Free.
Si vous avez un problème lisez ça:
Freemobile provide 3 Volts and 5 Volts Simcards.
Some phones can't handle 5 Volts Simcards, even some new phone like HD2 can't handle theses cards.
So, if you're on Freemobile you should check your Simcard shape and compare to the ones on this website:
http://freemobile.toosurtoo.com/reseau/carte-sim/
If you have a 5v simcard you should check this website and use your Google Foo to find if there is a solution for you.

Hello,
I have not seen any post related to this (tried to search to confirm that), so I hope I'm not re-posting something that was already discussed...
Since the 8.1 update (both May and June security patch), I have a weird behavior on my A1: data works well with 4G or 2G network, but when I have only 3G signal, I had no data.
After some checks, I found out that when I have 3G signal, some APNs disapear from the list (Network & Internet / Mobile Network / Advanced / Access Point Names). But not all of them...
I have "Reset to default" to have the APNs reconfigured automatically, but I still get this behavior. And of course, one of the APNs that disappear is the one I need, which explains why I have no data connection.
Workaround is easy, I created a manual APN with the good parameters, and this one does never disappear. So issue is gone, but I'm still wondering if I'm the only one with this issue, and if someone would know a proper fix rather than a workaround?
If it helps, I am in France, operator is Sosh, which is a MVNO using the network of Orange.
Adding screenshots, "Orange World" is the default APN I'd need, "Sosh" is the one I created manually.
When I updated to 8.1 in June my APN was wiped and I lost connection.
But I never had any APN's from new?
When I got the phone (new on N) and put my sim in, I did not receive any setting from my network provider and when I looked in APN's the list was blank so I set up an APN for my provider and all worked well. Like I say after 8.1 my manual APN was wiped by the update and I had to manually put it in again.
Should a new phone have no APN's? Or should there be a list of standard ones for common networks?
I'm not sure what is normal, I assumed it was blank until you are sent one or manually input one.
I'm not sure how it works, but in France all the operators I tried always provided APNs that get installed by default, and that you can reset through the menu in APN screen.... not sure if this is in the SIM card, that would be the most logical answer...
But this is clearly those "automatic" APNs that gets impacted, the manual one is stable and works well.

I'm on sosh too and before when i used free mobile and got no problem with the mia1. But since sosh the 3g especially the h+ wouldn't get the right apn...
The solution is simple you just need to add the apn manually and even if the phone switch to 2g or 3g or 4g the apn you set will be kept.
Enter this as a new apn
Nom
APN
Bonjour

APN
Hello
I go into settings, network and internet, mobile network, advance and after my display is: automatically select the network or network (for me orange) but I do not have the right settings and I do not have a button to create a new camera.
Here, Spain, o2, same issue, the only fix was the same, new manual APN, for some reason default APN provided by o2, with same data on It, won't let me access to the internet even with full 4g and data enabled, when the issue appears, an "X" appears on the base of the icon too (not on top as usual, 4g symbol on top), but with manual APN It works fine
Edit: issue wasn't appearing all time

Hello mate,
I have moved from Sosh, so don't have the latest values, but what I did back then was look at the APN fields when I had 4G coverage, and create new APN with different name, but all other fields the same.
If you don't understand my reply, send me PM and I'll tell you in french.

Hello, the problem is that I do not see how to enter a new APN,
I can not create it on the laptop.
Must have a code to access the (hidden) settings of the mobile phone.
Thank you for your help.
