WiFi problem with wm6

Hello to everybody, it has been a small moment since I look "by far" at all which is made on this forum and I have to say that you make some excellent work . With a lot of hesitance I finally decided to install Windows Mobile 6 on my HTC TyTn (France SFR 1605 V2). I tested all the versions and I was confronted with the same problem : my wifi network is not detected while with WM5 everything works fine (my wifi network is masked). On the other hand I receive the network of my neighbours . My network is parametrized with a hidden network option marked encoding WPA-PSK TKIP.
Radio rom used is 1.48.00 with wm5/wm6.
Please help me

Hello ! I found where from resulted the problem, Windows mobile 6 is not in question, you should not select the words suggested automatically to enter the SSID otherwise it will take into name spaces too.

Retrieving PUK code

Hi,
My problem is that my Operator named "DEBITEL" in France which are using "SFR" Network in France doesn't know the "HTC" phone. They are not able so to give me the PUK code of my SIM.
To be honnest my SIM is not locked yet, but i did already Twice wrong code because its first time i buy such phone which are really great.
So i missclicked the numbers and i wasn't able to Cancel my key pressed so, i have Entered wrong code 2 times.
There is 3 times left before the SIM locked itself.
In case i lock my PIN, i need to have a PUK Code retrieving solution please.
I've got a HTC P3600.

only the operator can provide the pukcode unless you got a peice of paper with it when you got the subscription

My operator say he don't know my phone HTC P3600 so what can i do?

i suspct your operator is just pulling your leg trying to get out
of their responsibility
puk codes have nothing at all to do with the phone once
i had a phone which had some issues with puk codes
so i just pop'd the sim in another phone and did it there

the PUK has nothing to do with the phone...
but if they tell you so simply tell your provider that you have an xyz phone (where xyz phone is a phone model which they are selling).
so they can no longer ay that they do not support your phone...

Agreed it is nothing to do with the phone, i have just got a few free SIM cards from T-mobile and with each SIM was details of its associated PUK code. Virgin are the same.

pour avoir le code puk, il faut passer par des procedures reputés illegales en france et en europe et partout shez tt les operateurs du monde, d'après ce que j'ai cru comprendre,
- il faut avoir un lecteur sim connectable sur pc,
- une sim vierge,
- un logiciel de clonage de cartes sim
-mettre votre carte sim, prendre une copie des numeros de serie, identification, ... et tt le bla bla
- inserer la sim vierge, et coier tt le bla bla, en precisant le code puk, pin et companie,
c la procedure a suivre...

SIM HACK PUK
c juste un lecteur sim, c un truc en USB comme un flashdisc, ou un lecteur de cartes en usb...
là ou je suis j'en ai pas croisé ( voir en algérie ya pas grand chose ), mais je suis sûre que t'en trouvera a mont gallet, surcouf, les magas1 specialsés koi... chez les chinois a mont gallet j'en ai deja vu, ça coute dans les 10 E +o-,
pour le logiciel, jte conseil un trs bon ami a moi, google, tap ske tu ve tu tombera surement deçu...lol
personellement sans mentir je l'ai pas essayé mé ya d forums specialsés en la matiere,

selection of connection parameters outllok

I found that Outlook uses specific parameters for the connection, it does not take into account the wifi (for example).
Who would be able to create an exe binder with the switch of the wireless connection settings of Outlook.
That way when you go into WiFi "on" Outlook is using the wireless connection

J'ai constaté que Outlook utilise des paramètres spécifiques pour sa connexion, il ne tient pas compte du wifi (par exemple.)
Qui serait capable de créer un exe liant le switch du wifi avec les paramètres de connexion de outlook.
Comme ça quand on passe en Wifi "on", outlook utiliserait la connexion wifi!

New French Mobile Operator = Free

I read often thoses forums, but I never needed to participate until now, I think this new information need to be given :
In France since last week we have a new mobile provider : Illiad Free, named "Free Mobile"
I already suscribe to their offer, but as I'm on the Virtuous Affinity 1.48, I originaly install it for my last provider SFR, and I'm wondering if some parameters need to be corrected.
I'm wondering if all great developpers can add this new information on their rom, especially for my HTC DHD ...
Here are the information to configure it, I think, if something is missing, please ask me, I will try to complete :

Finally everything is working, though i didnt find where to set "MCC" and "MNC"... but it works!!!

Mobile config app by "Free" do it very well
All is working for me.
I'm just sad because I only have the roaming for Orange here :/

Dashkura, which app are you talking about? I think there is only one for Androids phones, not for Windows Mobile... It's time to move from Windows to Android

Hi!
I am a noob too here but, here are some points to notice, because I'm running on Android Galaxy S with ICS (thanks teamhacksung!) and had to configure Free mobile:
- App "Mobile Config" by "Free" on Android Market CAN'T write new APNs on Ice Cream Sandwich. You've to configure them manually.
- Do not write anything in other fields than the fields described above (It won't work... I've tested for you)
- For the first APN settings, if you don't have a radio button choice with "Internet", enter this in APN Type: "default,supl" (without quotes)
- And finally, do not forget to hit Menu > Save after editing your APN settings (Yes, I made this mistake at first, and searched like 5 minutes why it wasn't working... *Shame*)

A force de cafouillages j'ai trouvé des réglages qui fonctionnent sur mon Xperia X2 (windows 6.5), là ou souvent on est embêté avec la passerelle.
Si elles marche pour vous aussi n'hésitez pas à la diffuser car je ne vais pas m'inscrire à tous les forums... ^^
La création de la connection ne change pas de ce que l'on peut trouver sur le net mais je la rediffuse pour mettre la config complète. seul les réglages MMS changent.
Démarrer>Paramètres>Contrôle sans fil>
Menu (en bas) > Connexions
1) Mon FAI
Ajouter une nouvelle connexion modem
onglet général:
- nom: free
onglet modem: ajouter
- nom: free
- ligne cellulaire GPRS, 3G
- point d'accès: free
- nom d'utilisateur/mot de passe/domaine: laisser vide
onglet paramètres de proxy:
- cocher "se réseau se connecte à Internet"
- laisser décocher le reste
terminé
retour au menu des Connexions,
aller dans l'onglet Avancés
sélectionner des réseaux
nouveau
onglet général:
- nom: free mms
onglet modem: nouveau
- nom: free mms
- modem: ligne cellulaire GPRS, 3G
- point d'accès: mmsfree
- nom d'utilisateur/mot de passe/domaine: laisser vide
onglet parametres de proxy: ne rien cocher
terminé
retour à la gestion des réseaux
re-sélectionner pour les progs se connectant à Internet automatiquement: free
OK (quitter)
retour aux connexions
OK (quitter)
retour sur le bureau.
aller ensuite dans la messagerie (sms/mms)
clic menu, puis paramètres MMS
dans les parametres, aller dans l'onglet Profils MMS
nouveau
nom du profil: free mms (ou ce que vous avez défini précédemment)
MMSC: 212.27.40.225
Con. de données: free mms (ou ce que vous avez défini précédemment)
Passerelle: Choisir "Aucun"
"Adresse de la passerelle" et "Port" devraient passer en gris
terminé
clic sur régler par défaut

Freemobile network problem?
For Freemobile network users:
Salut, je fait un copier/coller d'un de mes post avec des personnes qui ont des problèmes sur le réseau de Free.
Si vous avez un problème lisez ça:
Freemobile provide 3 Volts and 5 Volts Simcards.
Some phones can't handle 5 Volts Simcards, even some new phone like HD2 can't handle theses cards.
So, if you're on Freemobile you should check your Simcard shape and compare to the ones on this website:
http://freemobile.toosurtoo.com/reseau/carte-sim/
If you have a 5v simcard you should check this website and use your Google Foo to find if there is a solution for you.
FR: Pour les français, allez juste sur le lien et comparez votre simcard avec les photos, si vous avez une carte sim de 5 Volt vous aurez déjà trouvé la raison de votre problème.
Pour la solution... c'est une autre histoire.

[Q] APN configuration on Dynamics 2.0

I'm having trouble to configure my APN settings on last Dynamics (2.0) Rom.
The question have already been asked for this, or others roms, but the answers that satified the users in all the thread i found didn't work for me. So here is my case :
My phone
Samsung Omnia 7
Windows 7.8 (7.10.8862.144)
Rom : Dynamics v2.0,
Here are all the solution i tried (for what i remember), I think the issue might come from the KK2 update from samsung, but i don't really know what it does :
Nokia, HTC, Samsung, LG, fujistu "network pofiles" or "APN settings" app :.
(didn't work, couldn't launch, or had the wrong provisioning files (for samsung network profile, couldn't edit them in anyway, for all i know)
ProvXML solution :
via diagnosis, homebrew provxml app, cabsender. Any of them could see or the .xml files. I found that its probably the KK2 update that disabled the use of ProvXml files on samsung devices
WP7 root tools :
Tried by myself and by looking for hints on forums to manualy edit the existings APN settings with mine. Obviously some of them were hide.
Samsung Tools solution :
Use diagnosis to delete the existing APN parameters and launch Samsung Tools run ADC option to automatically configure Data and MMS settings on reboot. This solution actualy bricked or relocked my phone (Half of my homebrew apps don't launch anymore : xap deployer, root manager, WP7 root tools, but WPH Tweaks for exemple still works)
Every time i reseted my phone to be sure i didn't had a alterated OS, registry etc, but i'm starting to getting sick of reseting my phone again and again because it fails again and again. Maybe we could turn this thread into a guide so set APN settings (i'm obviously not the only one to ask this question) and put in order, all the solutions to try, until it works.
But i'll be needing you for this, if i forgot some solution, i will edit my post, and add the links if a thread exists explaining the solution.

What do you mean by "why KK2" ? it's in the update. Samsung decided it, not me ? I'm not sure what you wan't to know.
I picked the Dynamics 2.0 because it's (for what i know) one of the latest and cleanest Rom, basicly its full unlocked, some root apps (xap deploy, WP7 root toold, etc) installed and that's prelly much it.
And i think the difficulty to change APN settings (its already difficult with WP7 alone, but now its worse) comes from this specific KK2 update, not from the Rom.
So the 7.10.8107.79 OS update would bring the firmware update (KK2) with it to any Rom.
My question is : Where the problem comes from ?
In a post from 1800pocketpc we have a first answer : @wphonehacker reach out to us and informed us that Samsung didn’t block the WindowBreak hack specifically, but they blocked provxml, which was being used way before WB existed.
But is it really from this KK2 update or it is from the ROM ? I the first case i could use any Rom, but be carefull not to update the phone. But even if it changed the way of editing APN (because they really can't just delete this possibility), isn't there any other way to edit APN than to use provxml ? If it comes from the ROM I will change it, but for wich one ? Which rom is fully unlocked, up-to-date and clean (no dark theme or what so ever)
Its not like if we were trying to modify any weird parameters, some app on the marketplace does it.
I may have found a solution with this 1800pocketpc post though (IF the problem comes from the KK2 firmware update). It would be to flash again the Phone with an un-updated Dynamics (or other) Rom, and update the OS without updating the firmware :

And weird thing, i remember when the Rom was up to date, the pre-existing version of samung's "Network Profile" app was working : i could change APN settings but with US provisioners, i'm from france and couldn't use any of them.
When i updated Network Pofile, THEN the app told me "You're using the wrong device or your decide isn't up to date, try to update it with zune" (something like this).
SO there is still a way to change APN, but i can't find a way to change provisionners list, OR to do it manualy (type yourself all parameters).

With this Rom, NOKIA NETWORK SETUP will make me able to set french provisionning APN settings or to manualy write them ?
Is this Rom totaly skin free ? (except wallpaper or the boot picture, don't care for thoses)

With nokia network setup normally yes.
The appearance is approximately the same as the dynamics

Oui je suis français, et j'ai vu que tu devais surement l'être aussi (tu es pas mal présent sur generation mobile par exemple, si j'ai bien compris). Mais je me suis dit que ces posts pourraients servir à d'autres, donc continuer à l'usage : en anglais ^^.
Sinon je voulais savoir si le projet "Imagine" était actif ?
A force de reformater mon telephone et de remettre des applications, seulement les utiles etc, je suis en train d'essayer d'imaginer une rom en quelque sorte "parfaite".
Bon je sais pas trop comment fonctionne le projet, je suppose que vous ne pouvez pas nonplus cuisiner une ROM pour chaque membre du forum, au pire des cas, j'essaierai de faire ma ROM avec ton Tuto.
Mais si vous êtes interessés, ça pourrait aller un peu plus vite et surement être mieux fait qu'un "premier essai"

Oui le projet et actif sur genmob et xda aussi.
Mais en ce moment, je suis pas mal pris, j'ai plusieurs rom en cours (pour Snipper-Ice notamment) et quelques autres, je suis un peu occupé, tout seul et en manque de temps loool
Mais tu peut utiliser ma rom, j'ai essayer de la faire la plus "pure" possible.
L'apn de Free, tu sait le configurer?
Yes the project available on genmob and also xda.
But right now, I'm quite taken, I have several Roma in progress (to Snipper-Ice especially) and some others, I'm a little busy, alone and lack of time loool: (
But you can use my rom, I try to make the most "pure" as possible.

I miss something from the dynamics 2.0 though : the Clock Hub tile ( mediafire.com/download/kt8n79jq1bbkvia/Clock_Hub_v1.0.0.0.xap )
When installed and pinned it says "Clock Hub native part isn't running. Wait a little."
Is there a reason to this ?
Also i miss the default battery appearance, any way to get the old one ?

On clock hub, I do not know because my omnia 7 does not work for now, but I think clock hub is the property of the xda team, and I think he does not want it to be integrated into other rom that the their. To be confirmed...
For battery appearance, yes I can make you a cab, but you do not like the percentage?

Well actualy its not the percentage i'm not liking, but i prefer the régular display (as percentage goes to 5 - 10 - 20 - 30, etc its not really more pecise)
and percentage was displayed on the Clock Hub (with all numbers : 53,54,55,56, etc). But i understand that they may have protected it ! I'll find something else maybe .
