After installing Gingerblur V4, my phone was lagging more than I would like, nothing fatal just not performing awesome.
I went back into recovery, did full factory reset (wiped data, cleared cache) and then re-installed Gingerblur V4.
The phone booted up, and made it to the Welcome to the MotoBlur screen. About 10 seconds into typing my account name and password, it reboots every time.
Next, I did a full SBF flash of 1.83 hoping to just go back to stock. It does the same exact thing, continuous boot, and reboot loop.
I think it is rebooting after it says preparing internal storage in the notification bar.
Any ideas?
Do you think AT&T will give me a new one? That wouldn't be a bad deal.
4.1.83 is not full system sbf. Flash 4.1.26 or 4.1.57.

Whenever i flash a new ROM, my phone keeps rebooting. Any ideas?
Thanks
At what point does it reboot?
Sent via the Sprint HTC EVO
Try clearing your cache, data, etc. and yank the battery, wait 30 seconds, put it back in.
What ROMs and kernels have you tried?
Constant reboot happens when exiting recovery mode after flashing a new ROM.
I have tried several ROMS. Only one that works is fresh ROMS.
What method is the best way to ensure cache is deleted?
through your recovery. you should always wipe before you flash
data/cache/dalvik all three options
Yo, I'm having the same problems.

Constant reboot fixed by factory reset for me.
Sent from my PC36100
Will give the Factory Reset a try.
Thanks
Just tried it. Didn't work.
Clear ALL cache and data from your recovery: Dalvik cache, /data, and regular cache. Also try removing your SD card (worth a shot).
Did Factory Reset
Rebooted
Flashed Damage Control ROM
Rebooting over and over...
im not rooted at all and this same thing is happening to me itll get up to the 4g sign then reboot again.. have to wait until thursday to get my replacement ughhhhhhhh =(

This just happened to me also. Did you also root with the Unrevoked Evo 2 app? That's that I did, and it's the only thing I think might be causing the problem.
I tried restoring the stock battery icon using ACS 1.1 and my phone got stuck in an endless reboot cycle. I kind of started freaking out as my phone had been acting flawlessly prior to this and I was scared of corrupting my data. I had a recent restore point saved (I have MyBackup make one every morning while I'm sleeping) but that would mean I'd have to wipe my phone and after everyone complaining about how hard it is for them getting ACS 1.1 to work on there phone I was scared to test my luck a second time. I thought the only other option would be a battery pull which would lead to bad data with bad backups. So instead of following one of those two options I three finger rebooted out of the loop and immediately three finger booted into CWM. I wiped only my cache and dalvik and then reflashed 1.1 over the existing one. I then rebooted and the only things I had to do were reflash my Vision kernel and delete a few apps that I did not want that come with the ACS rom that got reinstalled. I assume none of my data got corrupted and I know this probably won't save everybody from corrupted data due to endless reboots but just thought I'd share my method. So far everything has been running just as good as ever.
Hi, I've searched my problem but came up only with "regular" reboot answers. Let me explain:
I was using the newest CM10 builds by Quarx as they were coming, and once in a while my phone rebooted/freezed. I was using nightlies so I was ok with that kinda of thing. But after flashing the last nightly (07/03), my phone was rebooting whenever I pushed him harder than opening the app drawer.
After wiping data, cache and everything else without any results, I've decided to flash an official SBF - Then the phone rebooted in the middle of the RSD flash process. I've started it again and it went ok... but now my phone is rebooting at the Moto logo, when I try to wipe the cache or factory reset through bootloader. I can't do anything with him.
Can someone give me any expectation? Something new to try? Or, hell, even a confirmation that my Defy is dead and there's nothing I can do?
SBF
Hi,
draw the battery,
wait a time,
put the battery inside,
start the steps to flash sbf,
after the flashing is finish make a factory reset in stock recovery,
install 2ndint ( i wrote something on the beginning like: After install 2ndinit restart, deactivat usb debug, and restart again),
Then install one of the beautiful CMs here.

You just have to flash another rom using RSD lite, It will work.
Or just flash the official ROM which u had before installing the CM 10
Thanks for the attention, but I have tried flashing both his original SBF (Retail 2.3.7 from Brazil) and the Chinese one, both causing reboots when I try to wipe data/cache in recovery. If I let it turn on normally it reboots in the first steps (wifi and account configuration), so I can't even install 2ndinit or wipe data through the system. Any other ideas?
Hi,
I am writing this on behalf of my mother's phone. She has a completely stock Nexus 4 on Net10.
This phone hasn't been touched by a computer. Any development settings are also disabled.
I came home from work and my mom showed me that her phone wouldn't boot. It was boot looping on the "X" boot animation.
So I went ahead and accessed the boot menu and selected recovery and did a cache wipe. No help. I let the phone run out of battery and charged it back up, no help.
I have no clue what happened. The phone was working fine previously. Again, the phone has NOT been unlocked, rooted, etc. Completely stock Nexus 4.
I would like to fix her phone but I would also like to keep her data intact. She even told me it is very important to "keep everything on the phone".
Any assistance would be great.

Try the following:
- wipe cache and dalvik cache
- Flash a custom kernel
- See if boots
- Make a complete UROOTED backup and save it in the computer
- Flash factory image and relock bootloader
- Restore backup
Tell us if worked
By flashing a custom kernel it is required to unlock the bootloader which will wipe the entire phone.
Your only hope is to use stock recovery to install a signed OTA package (if it's on 4.3 wait for 4.4 ota package).

HELP! I've been using my LG G2 for around 3 months with mo problems at all. I'm rooted with Janjan's custom rom. This morning my phone froze, so i rebooted it. From then on i could not connect to my mobile network as well as Wifi networks. I can see the phone is also scanning the media files, and i cannot open any programs. The phone then restarts itself after about 20 seconds. If i turn the screen off, i cannot turn it back on.
I have already tried restoring to a backup i had on CWM, but the same thing happens.
Has anybody experienced this before? Any suggestions on what to do????
Thanks!
**Edit.
Was able to snap this pic before it rebooted on me again. The "Error" message, stays on even if i exit Settings.
Flash back to stock using this method http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But before you try to return to stock, make sure you completely wipe the device in CWM.

hey thanks for the reply. I've tried returning it to stock. Wiped cache and factory reset in CWM, and followed the tutorial to return to stock.
After the phone restarted, it showed stock boot animation and is totally stock now.
BUT the problem is still there. My phone continues to reset itself every 10-20 seconds, and still cannot connect to any networks.

Hmm, that is odd. Do you have a back up of the phone before you changed anything? i.e. a stock backup?
because it seem you may have wiped your EFS partition by accident.
No i don't have any backups, The only back up i had was a stable version of the ROM i was using. And it seems like when i reverted back to stock, all the files in the internal memory is erased as well.
