Is 'light sensor' the Ambient Light Sensor? Because that the Play's do have. It works with the 'Auto Brightness' checkbox.

Smile detection is a software feature and not a hardware one. Perhaps the phone on the URL is shipped with a different camera app?
Otherwise you can have a look at the market and see if you can find a camera app with smile detection.

Nope, common camera sensors for smartphones/tablets do not work in the dark ........ For this You would need an IR cam

thank you
Yes, Use an IR camera..., unfortunately you will probably get the "high power USB device" error...
Making text bigger or changing colour won't fix the fact you don't like what you read....

Hi !
I can't find an answer to my question:
The RAZR HD is it equipped with a gyro or accelerometer?
Some people say yes, others do not ...
This is not a technical answer but I heard it had a gyro.
Both of them..
Try GunCraft, from the PlayStore, it's free and you can test the Gyroscope..
Both
Sensors
Both!
Check the link

its under SENSORS
Indeed, thanks
Hi all,
I'm building some software stack which interacts with sensors.
So far, I found out that CM uses original sensor.universal5410.so from the stock ROM.
libsensors, which contain the sensor HAL, seem to be not released from Samsung.
Has anyone been successful in writing custom HAL that can interact with i9500 ?

I would check if some of these sensors are supported by the android sensor manager api, if not, check samsung developer centre to find another sensors api

HAL is far below Android API....
I wonder if there is something else you can do with that heart rate sensor?
It uses a red-led as a light source so I guess it works exactly like these apps that use the LED-flash.
So I guess it's some kind of a light sensor too. Can't it be utilized as an additional focusing engine for the camera or something? Or for infrared/ultraviolet/whatever camera tricks. Or to lock/unlock your phone?
Any ideas?
Cheers.
