Best one is whichever works best for you. Different radios have their places where they work best. Radio that I'm using where I'm at my not work as good where you're at and what not.
But, its always good to try the latest things. So try the latest radio and see.
im using royal ginger 2.1 and i notice the improvement on my wifi signal. i usually get 2 bars in my room when i was running cm7 but now i get 3 bars with royal ginger.
I'm not a T-mobile user and i'm in GSM network.
After upgrading radio , i have lots of gsm antenna loose problems from time to time.
i tried many radio files, best for me is T-mobile stock radio PD15IMG-12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26

Currently using T8585 on AT&T and can't seem to keep a signal. Have flashed several custom rom/radio combinations but wanted to get other users opinion on which radio version has worked best for them.
Altuswire, I've been using 2.09.51.03_2 for a few days and can say I'm surprised. I'm getting 4 bars in places that I use to get 1 or none.
Thanks for the reply. Are you using a custom rom, or one of the official ones?
Using the 2.09.51.03_2 with LEOV3.0 UltimatePower [21895 Com 2].
Battery life and signal strength best I have had with AT&T.
I'm using 2.09.51.03_2 w/ Artemis v6.0; I'm having much better reception and better battery life.
Are you getting 3G Coverage with it on AT&T?
yes, on 3G reception

sorry for the mislead; 3G reception is on my T9193. A T8585 no matter what radio you use will never get 3G on at&t. The bands (ex: 850mhz for at&t) are not changeable they are part of the hardware.

This quote is VERY misleading and you might want to clear it up. The T9193 is the Telstra version of the phone and NOT the T-Mobile version which cannot, and WILL NOT, work with AT&T 3G.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
After trying several other combinations to include what was suggested; I've using CleanEx HQ 1.54 w/2.09 radio to work best for me. Been using this combo for a couple of days now, and seems to be keeping full bars on reception. I don't get the 576mb patch but getting the bars is more important at the moment.
Sorry to bump an old topic, but I need this answered...

I thought flashing .51 radios was a no-no?

Once you complete flashing HSPL3, flash any radio with a ".50" in its name. Do not flash radios with ".51" in its name..

Is this because it will brick the device (as bad radio flashes can) or is it because the .51 radios simply do not function on TMoUSA?
Hi all
I'm currently using the Radio Version 2.10.50.28_2
I'm haven't had any problems with it whatsoever, but I was wondering if that is the best radio in terms of signal quality available for my location
I'm in London and my operator is o2 and do get pretty decent signal, but of course if there is a better radio suited for these conditions I'd like to have it
So is 2.10.50.28_2 the one I should continue to use or should I be using a different one?
RAdio
I am ORINGE customer using AxLor V 10 the same radio and everything is really PERFECT ! ! ! London area too ! ! 3G everywhere
Have to admit the 3G network is pretty decent, getting HSDPA as well =]
Guess I am on the best Radio
Radio's are always subjective. I personally find the best radio for EU roms to be 2.09.51.03_2. Brilliant call quality and decent signal. Looking at you're signature rom, you appear to be on a Tmous rom so in order to see that extra ram you'll need to stick to 2.**.50 radio's.
i am on vodafone uk and in a constant GPRS signal area. only time i get 3G+ is when i visit my girlfriend in lincoln then its constant.
my radio is 2.10.50.19_2. I use the Artimis V14 so the extra is not enabled tho i have tried other version 2.10 radios and get worse battery life.
With this one my phone is good for 1.5 days use. and thats with normal usage, net, text, calls to mrs etc.
i did condition the battery mind.
Hi i was wondering if anyone could help me. I have a my touch 3g 32b rooted with rom 5.0.8 ds radio 2.22.23.02 i also installed bfs 508- 32b fixed kernal and installed set cpu 1.54 set my phone to 576mhz the highest but its still to slow. compared to my friends on 3g with verizon i live in rupert idaho usa i do not have 3g available in my area the closest is boise 2 1/2 hrs away they have 3g. i guess my area is to rural for tmobile i did a speed test my results were download 155kbps upload 42kbps but when i checked it on home wifi download was 2567kbps upload 621kbps is their anything i could about this i really want my internet faster i know i can make it faster by using wifi but i need faster when im at work please help me.
Call T-Mobile. They're overhauling a lot if their antannae to 3G within the next 3 months and may be hitting the ones near you. Outside of that there's nothing you can do short of cancelling your contract and switching carriers.

I live in Miami and I successfully updated my rooted phone to it's fullest, including with a 7.28 radio, no WiMax though as I'm about to attempt, and latest Cyanogen RC with Snap kernel 7. What's going on? I used to get decent 3G speeds, but now they suck even more. Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated, thank you guys.
You might wanna try flashing some of the previous baseband radios to see if that helps. It's been noted on quite a few threads here that some radios work better with some ROMs and kernels, and even based on the region or local area. YMMV with baseband radios just as much as ROMs and kernels.
Thanks, I'll try that now. I keep everything and ROM Manager makes flashing zips a breeze.
Tried many different radios, all give me same performance. Any chance it could be the kernel? I don't think Sprint's towers are any good in Miami
It's probably just the network, there have been many people complaining of how slow it is FL lately regardless of what version they are using
Yeah the reception in Florida is straight up atrocious. I simply think the radio is more accurate than before so that's why I'm getting Edge instead of 3G.
Downtown Miami today hit 150kbps down though, on 3G. Anyways, seas a thread on 4G in Miami?
On my Evo 4G | Cyanogen6 RC2, Snap v7 UV/OC/CC | FPS: ~54 stdev: ~2.9 | Linpack: ~38.49 Quadrant: 1528
Maybe its ur region i live in hollywood beach and i get really good reception and download speed! And i have the latest radio but my pri is still 1.34...and 4g towers wont be built here probaly after hurricane season is over...

Hey, how's it going?
I'm using the "HTC Panaxhe Stock" radio from this page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1059347
I'm thinking about changing it though as I'm having quite a few connection problems. I keep losing signal
Not sure if it's a fault with the device itself or the radio. What radio are you using and have you experience similar connectivity problems?
i was with mt4g stock now I'm trying panache.. lets see how it goes
I'm using stock radio, and I get about 2-3 mbps down, .5-1 mbps up consistently.
Re. Radio
I flashed the t-mobile stock radio and have been having better reception. The speed has not increased though; it still stays around 2.5 down 1.7 up.
