[Q]Nand and other OS like WP7

Now that Nand is out for Android/HTC 2, I have a few questions. Right now my Android build running off sim card works perfectly so I'm debating Nand.
1. With the Nand bootloader, will we eventually be able to use it to run Windows Phone 7 if it gets ported. Basically I'm curious if by installing Android on the Nand if we are losing the ability to run other OSes
2. Can we ever go back to the stock HTC rom once we install android nand? I'm sure your wondering why in the world would I want to do that, but its a nice safeguard to always be able to go back to the rom you got the phone with.
3. What is the closest Nand build you think to the Froyostone Desire rom sim build?
Thanks
When you flash oryginal HTC rom with RUU you delete android nand all magldr...
So you can back to stock rom whenever you want...
Task29 removes Magldr and android so that you can flash any rom you wish

Under my expirience with kaisers, NAND can be partitioned, and magdlr theoretically can make and load multiple partitions, cotulla mentioned it:
"Future developerment:
*planned to add Haret's startup.txt support for Android SD
*planned to add support of Android boot images (zImage + initrd.gz in raw file)
*fast boot support (?)
*support of fixed partitions layout with ability to reflash any partition
*WM65 NAND boot with any rom (?)
*WM65 NAND boot with special designed roms for MAGLDR boot.
*support of WPH NAND boot"
Thanks for your replies, I think I'm going to wait a few weeks as the roms get updated (I know I've seen alot of g sensor forum posts) I think its exciting we finally have this option and that we can still go back to stock if necessary.

[Q] Android install on a wm7 hd2

I just bought an hd2 which came with wp7 and has MAGLDR 1.12 with the dual boot option but Android doesnt boot thru the SD card.I think the Android rom was on another card. Can i just do a fresh install of Android on top of the wm7 install or do i need to do anything special? I would appreciate any tips as i wouldnt wanna brick this phone.
If you're just trying to dual boot wp7 and android as long as your sd card is partitioned correctly you can just download any rom to your sd card and it's as simple as that. If your sd card is partitioned or you don't know if it is just follow the steps here.

If you're only interested in booting android you can do it through NAND which boots android directly from your phone and you can follow these steps

[Q] Update Android 2.2.1 and WP7

Hey guys,
I am a quite unfamiliar with all these builds and all that but a long time ago, I could install Android 2.2.1 and WP7 on my HD2. Now after a few months, I forget how I did all that, and I would like to have the latest version of Android and WP7 on my HD2. The problem is, that I even forgot abt that Magldr and HSPL-things.
Can I easily upgrade both systems or do I need to flash it back to 6.5 and install everything from new again?
Is there a guide maybe, where I can have a look at? because I did not find anything.
Thank you very much
HSPL will stick as long as you DONT revert to a stock rom.
i would download the HTC Toolkit for HD2 ... that will be an all-in-one for doing a, TASK 29 and reinstalling magLDR all from one place.
i would do a task 29 because it will wipe your nand that way you won't run into problems with a new version of WP7 (no conflicts with old framework etc)
if your not to worried about thoroughness and just want new NOW.
just boot up magLDR by holding down power during boot. after mag menu comes up choose USB flasher (optioin 5 i believe) and then running the DAF.exe of the new WP7 rom (8107 is newest)
after place Android on SD and boot
the new WP7 roms no longer lock the SD so you won't have to worry about the headackes that used to cause. but BEWARE most of the new WP7 roms are using a new touch driver that causes random reboots (all driver related ... has nothing to do with the SD card class like the previous versions)
and as always good luck!

[Q] How to Uninstall WP7 ROM without installing WM6.5 ?

Hi All,
Right now I have dual boot phone with WP7.5 and Android, now I want to install Android on NAND.
Is there any way to uninstall WP7.5 without installing WM6.5 ?
OR
It would be removed when I will install Android on NAND?
OR
Is Task29 (HD2Toolkit) could help on this ?
Thanks.
if you install an android nand, make a task29, no need to re-install WM6 ^^
