Hi All,
Right now I have dual boot phone with WP7.5 and Android, now I want to install Android on NAND.
Is there any way to uninstall WP7.5 without installing WM6.5 ?
OR
It would be removed when I will install Android on NAND?
OR
Is Task29 (HD2Toolkit) could help on this ?
Thanks.
if you install an android nand, make a task29, no need to re-install WM6 ^^

Hello.
Im loving my HTC HD2. I think its a great PPC, and im happy with its settings too.. I have some questions about Android that I hope you could help me with.
1. If im gonna try Android. I want to back up my WM6.5 with all settings etc. Is it possible to make a image of my current OS+settings+programs? And How do I "go back" to my WM6.5 if its a total failure?
2. How do Android on HTC HD2 work? Does it remove WM6.5 at all or run as "dualboot"?
3. I had TyTn2 before. Many had problems with HardSPL, bricking and such.. Is it a big chance that Android will do the same?
4. Any tips?

1. Android for HD2 is at the moment only aviable for SD-Card boot. NAND - boot will come. So SD-Card means that it wont erase anything from you winmob rom. You need HSPL (means you loose warranty, but restoring is simple) to flash a radio > or = 2.08. The rest is very simple and not dangerous. So you wont need to backup the phones date. If you format your sd card you should backup the things on it as you know. Android works quite well. like a native android phone! try it!
A real dual boot doesnt exist but will come.
Do I erase anything with applying HSPL? Or do I just "patch" my curret radio?
First check your radio it needs to be 2.08.50 or above but ending in 50
if not you will need to flash see

.
Download your rom of choice
.
I using the Froyostone sense build from here
http://gamesquare.co.uk/froyostone.htm
Extract Android folder to the root of your MicroSD card
Download and install jmz Android dual boot from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=723200
Run jmz dual boot and select Android
I have no problems running this on a stock tmobile 1.72 rom with the radio upgraded to 02.08.50
The driver that's required to install a ROM via MGLDR is provided by my HD2 once successfully installed? I ask because I want to know if I decided to load a ROM from a different PC nothing adverse would happen during the installation of a new NAND Rom. All I would need on that different PC is the NAND Rom, right? I already meet all the prerequisites on my HD2
Also, I just tried a new NAND Rom and didn't like it at all? Reinstalling the first NAND Rom completely removes any influence of the Rom I did not like? Or do I have to install a WinMo Rom to completely remove a NAND Rom?
Newb questions...but I think they're good ones ...and yeah, I searched
Thanks.
Yes all you need is the rom if you have all the prerequisites.
Yes just install a new rom like how you installed first.
Please I need Help
first I'm New on HTC
I bought HTC HD2
It's Has Android 2.2 But with too many bugs and hangging
I need to Upgrade but i dont know how , I'm Familiar with sonyericsson and now did'nt understand from this fourm
Please i need help by baby step and what is the best nand or sd card
please can any one help me?!?!?!?!
How did you manage to get Froyo running without knowing how to upgrade?...
Anw you can check out this HD2 toolkit thing
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
that makes everything just as user friendly as it can get. To get your HD2 working on a new ROM, you need to:
1. Flash HSPL
2. Flash radio to 2.15.xxx, unless your radio is 2.15.xx already...
3. Install Magldr/cLK (You'll need some drivers from Android SDK to install cLK, so I suggest just go for Magldr)
4. Install Clockworkmod Recovery
5. Choose a ROM (XD XD)
6. Flash the ROM using CWM (every ROM is different, so follow instructions on the ROM page)
It's also advisable that you perform Task 29 (wipe) before installing a new ROM, to avoid any force close issues.
Btw, the HD2 rarely hangs, and if yours does so quite often you should be suspecting that the hardware is a bit screwy, and it's time for repairs...
really thnk you for your help
i'm familiar with sony ericsson and know little about android and need rom more than 2.2
but please all i need from you to advice me that i use sd card method or nand?!?!?wich better?!?!
I think you bought your HD2 with Android?
The HD2 has normally Windows Mobile 6.5.
If you wanna use WM6.5 AND Android (to switch between WM and Android), you should use an SD Build.
If you just wanna have Android as your main OS, you should use a NAND Build (recommended).
How to install NAND Builds is described in the Threads of the NAND build you wanna have.
Hey guys,
I am a quite unfamiliar with all these builds and all that but a long time ago, I could install Android 2.2.1 and WP7 on my HD2. Now after a few months, I forget how I did all that, and I would like to have the latest version of Android and WP7 on my HD2. The problem is, that I even forgot abt that Magldr and HSPL-things.
Can I easily upgrade both systems or do I need to flash it back to 6.5 and install everything from new again?
Is there a guide maybe, where I can have a look at? because I did not find anything.
Thank you very much
HSPL will stick as long as you DONT revert to a stock rom.
i would download the HTC Toolkit for HD2 ... that will be an all-in-one for doing a, TASK 29 and reinstalling magLDR all from one place.
i would do a task 29 because it will wipe your nand that way you won't run into problems with a new version of WP7 (no conflicts with old framework etc)
if your not to worried about thoroughness and just want new NOW.
just boot up magLDR by holding down power during boot. after mag menu comes up choose USB flasher (optioin 5 i believe) and then running the DAF.exe of the new WP7 rom (8107 is newest)
after place Android on SD and boot
the new WP7 roms no longer lock the SD so you won't have to worry about the headackes that used to cause. but BEWARE most of the new WP7 roms are using a new touch driver that causes random reboots (all driver related ... has nothing to do with the SD card class like the previous versions)
and as always good luck!
hello guys i just bought a hd2.
This was equipped with a custom Android hd2 and I already have a GS2 so I decided you install a custom wp7. I have installed the tiger 4.5. The rom is great but did not have the Italian language so I installed the 5.0 but I will not install because it is a good fullunlock but I will install it as a lock on marketlace office etc. are not working! please help do not understand where mistaken: Confuso:
sorry for my english
Did you do a hard reset after flashing?
To do it: turn off your phone and on again. In MAGLDR when "12345 GO, GO, GO" will appear - pres VolUp and VolDown buttons in the same time. Follow the instructions on the screen...
I did not! Tomorrow I try ... I also said to make task29 before flashing the rom. task29 but I also MAGLDR 1.13 or delete it cleans only the sd?

Click to collapse
