Got tired of waitingfor root on a b80 so i changed the mainboard from a b60 that had a cracked screen into a b80 everything else and everything is working nicely. Anybody need a battery or bezel or rear case or any other parts? I should work for asus repairing these things because even the squeak went away.

I never received any money, only request for bank account number and full name. Who would give that information? i simply wanted to ensure I got paid before shipping to croatia and would accept a certified check or cash, I am not one the idiot 5% but a good guy who has never and will never rip anyone off, bad karma in my view
no pictures, did this for someone else and its gone.
guess you never sent money via bank transfer internationally or sent it via Western Union. If you did, you'll never go hillbilly on me and acusing me for some internet fraud because bank DO ask for full name and bank account number and on Western Union form there is FULL NAME AND ADRESS FIELD!
Please inform yourself in the future, go back to elementary school or something....
Thanx for nothing

What do you guys think about disputing any Nexus Q ebay purchases due to the fact Google has killed it.
"not as described" as it is buggy and hardly works for me. Plus since google has publicly stopped selling it its obviously a broken item.
Think ebay would give me a refund for both devices if I dispute the purchase?

You should be banned for even posting anything like this. You bought the Nexus Q with the information that was released so live with it, why should the person selling it lose the money you paid?
Google did not call it broken, the issue is that they realize the functionality is too limited for the price point.

Haha, you're a piece of garbage.
Deleted as read the reply wrong.
Why am garbage? Google obviously agrees with me.
They took a product that doesn't work most of the time and is overpriced and made it free. I have two of them + 4 android devices and the Nexus Q does not work most of the time!
The didn't want to deal with all of the returns or bad publicity.
Why would you return something that doesn't work if it was free?
But if you purchased something for a premium your really quick to return it when it doesn't work.
I love google and google products. They really did save some face by giving away these devices.
I escalated both ebay purchased and am waiting 72 hours for decision. Pretty much I did buy something that doesn't work as advertised and has pretty much been recalled by Google. The sellers should of accepted my return, but they did not. Will report back on outcome of dispute.
So would you be raising these claims if Google hadn't decided to prolong the release of their Nexus Q product? Somehow, I don't think so.
You bought them and it's not the sellers fault that you bought them; Google hasn't even said that the Q is 'broken'.
You are just going to have to suck it up, sorry.
I won the dispute, ebay has sent me pre-paid return stickers to send back the items to the sellers for a full refund.
Now, I like the devices - and want to keep them.
But not being fully hacked yet, and not even being able to do what they are supposed to do (play music on TV) without sound cutting out, I think I will send them back.
I think they will be re-released minus the LEDs and speaker ports but with google TV interface + the current streaming features for $200....
Ebay was wrong on this one. I hope someone deletes this topic..Shame

You really should know what you are buying before you buy it. In cases like this especially! If you are not willing to get into the weeds and hack the Q, you should not have bought two of them handed out at a developer conference specifically to be hacked!
Google does not agree with you that there is anything wrong with the device. Noone wanted it yet for the price or were smart enough to wait and see how the development community panned out before they ordered one. Anyone that ordered one especially off of ebay knew exactly what they were getting. They graciously offered those that pre ordered it for free to generate publicity. If you do not want what they offered you should not have ordered it.

I sure hope you get negative feedback for what you did. The sellers didn't misrepresent anything, and you probably purchased their "new unopened" nexus q's for less than msrp ($300), used them a few days, decided you would wait until they have more features after trying them out and now you are returning them. Now the sellers can't sell them as new since they have been used by you.
This is pretty much just like you bought something at a yard sale or craigslist, tried it out for a few days and now want a refund. "Buyer Beware", you should have researched more or decided to not take a chance and be an early adopter instead of screwing over a couple of people on ebay...

Ebay's decision is based on various factors. That being said, your case sounds to me is more of a Buyer's remorse than inaccurate description of an preview device (which will not be refunded if it is buyer's remorse).
I guess the seller did not responded ebay's request for providing evidence fully or timely therefore you get this one easy. It won't be so lucky next time. I dealt with buyers like you before. All I need was to list all the evidence that shows it is buyer's remorse but not seller's fault and ebay rejected buyer's request last time.
You got lucky this time. I think the seller did not bother or was not aware such refund request or did not take it seriously to contend.

Your buyer would be wise to never touch your phone without one.
I got burned on this and have had to wait weeks without a phone so I could mail it to LG for a repair...
What if I can't find it? Can I print it out or anything?
Ask Google if you don't get an answer. I may resort to buying a craigslist nexus 4 and would love to know if you can print it out so I can rule out the "I lost it excuse" I know someone did a three way call with a Google rep and the seller to transfer the warranty so I'm sure Google is flexible. Just want to chime in with some info.
I purchased the Note 10.1 2014 from Amazon. I made sure it was a Brand New one and paid the full price.
I got the item and the seal was broken on the box. No big deal "or so I thought" It then took 2 over the air update however now it would randomly reboot and restart.
I contact Amazon and they apologize and say they will ship me a New one overnight.
I pick that one up and same deal .. The Samsung seal is broken so I know it was an opened item. This is the 2nd one. I contacted Amazon and I will be getting a full refund. I will go to Best Buy and pick one up.
Can anyone here tell me is it common practice for Amazon to open these tablets before shipping the. They were all sold by amazon not a 3rd party seller. Needless to say I was highly upset.
I usually get my holiday shopping done at Amazon but not this year. This has left a really bad taste in my mouth. What are your experiences.
Should I be concerned.
Was the shipping package opened? It might be your courier who is opening up your tablet to inspect it.
NOPE..

The shipping packing was intact both times. The tablets themselves were opened with a broken seal. I am debating on if I should send the the second one back however I am sending it back. At least If I go to Best Buy I have the satisfaction of knowing I am the only one who opened the box. Also a note... The 2nd one took 3 OTA updates when I took it out. Also the serial number seems to be good as it allowed me to get the perks. should i be concerned as to why the box was opened.

I am returning a unit I got from Amazon. and I was thinking the same thing. It had a problem with the case making creaking sounds when handled. Also I noted that the plastic protection on the sides wasn't present. This made me very suspicious. I wasn't going to paid new for a case problem that was a constant distraction. They send me another one and its fine. However, I thought about going to Best Buy instead of getting another one from Amazon. I guess the only reason to open one if it was dropped and they wanted to check to see if was broken, otherwise no it isn't a common practice for them or anyone else to open them. They are suppose to come fresh from factory, no seals broken.
Just have to be an informed buyer now-a-days.
Doc
I had the same issue. They sent me two units that had both seals broken. The third one had only one seal broken. The tablet is in perfect shape but i still complained until they gave me 20% off to keep it. It was on sale for 519 with 104 more off i figured id take a chance. So far no issues.
The strange thing about the open seals is that they were all opened in the same manner.. seemed odd that they would all have the same tear pattern.. not sure how to explain.
If you get an open seal and want a deal.. contact by chat and raise a little cain..

I did that they gave me a $40 credit. Should I keep the note or send it back. What do you guys think. My only fear is someone had it and botched a flash or something and sent it back. How can I tell if the firmware has been tampered with or of somone triggered the Knox counter or the flash counter.
they had the issue with the original note 10.1 a year ago. ithink someone replied that amazon's response was that they opened them to verify that the correct item was in the box before shipment. mine that i ordered last year was intact.
ok what do you think

Okay so what do you guys think. should i keep the 2nd one. it seems to have no issue other than the seal being broken. They only gave me a $40 credit. Should I just send them back and look elsewhere. really need some sound advice.
This happens with all at some point. I've been with Amazon for a few years now and only had this happen once I THINK. Yet I always try to make sure it has "PRIME" by it. I've had this happen with NewEgg. I still buy from them.

Well if it still has warranty and works flawless. Keep it. You got $40.

Mine arrived from Amazon fine. If the table works fine & you got money back, then you are ahead of the game !
I bought 2 from Amazon. Had no problems at all. Seals were intact and they work great. Sounds like you are one lucky person. If yours works and you got money off then you got a better deal than me.
I had the same thing happen with every PC hard drive that I get from Amazon, too. They told me it's too easy be the manufacturer to put the wrong driven in the box, and then it becomes Amazon's problem one it's in the hands of the customer.

I say keep it as well. I kept mine and am very happy. On thing you can do is register the tablet with samsung and i believe they will tell you if the tablet has been registered already.. giving you a sense if the tablet was really used at all.
Its so odd to me that the amazon reps did not tell me that opening packages was their standard or common practice. All three times they appologized.. and said they were escalating the issue to check inventory. And then gave we 20% off.. which i couldnt refuse. Why would this be a common practice? The label says "if this seal is broken.." basically dont keep it.. if this is a common practice, then they are ensuring a large number of returns since most people are extremely "non-technical" and will obey the sticker..

I remember people reporting this a month ago with the 2014 release. I just figured they were unlucky. I recently order two of the older model for some family friends and both seals were broken. Requested a return and shipped it back.
The whole "were making sure everything is in there" doesn't make sense to me. Samsung pretty much promises it is and assumes responsibility by putting the seal on in the first place. It just seems like amazon is asking for trouble. Maybe im missing something that someone will explain for me.
That is BS. It seems they are turning around and reselling returns. And here I have one in my cart at amazon

If its open when you get it. Call them and make them give you a credit or a discount. strange thing is we just ordered a Nexus 7 2013 version right after the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014.. Guess what the Nexus 7 2013 has all seals intact. So what is the big deal removing them from the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014

Yeah. Well, the upside is this is Amazon, and I can't imagine anywhere that makes returns easier. They pay return shipping for many reasons.
So, just got my Note 10.1 2014 from Amazon. One tab was broken, the flap not even tucked in. the box itself was properly sealed.
I can tell the protetive plastics were messed with. I do believe this was a returned item, but can't be sure. It's pretty annoying for such an expensive product and I may make them keep sending replacements until I get a properly sealed one. Haven't yet decided.
For that matter, I am not even decided if I Want this tab over the original note 10.1 I am replacing (if I keep this). sigh.
Anyway, it the ir blaster window on the top of your tabs raised vs flush to the bezel?
Also, with the black model, are the usb cable and ac adapter really White?
Thanks
They just replied to me offering 15% off. That's $82
Now, I have already found out the white cables with black unit is normal...That is how my brother's came from amazon (sealed). He says they did that on the S4 as well. Probably run by best buy to see how raised the IR window should be. This one seems like a lot. But for $82 off, could be well worth it.
I was looking to sell my Nexus 4 on here but it seems xda chose to exclusively use swappa which sucks because they won't allow phones unless they're 99% condition. My screen is still good but they said no cracked glass anywhere (damn LG, what a stupid design!)
I covered it with a dbrand skin and it looks good imo. Ebay/paypal gonna take a chunk out of it and no one on craigslist knows what the Nexus 4 is lol.
ebay / craiglist.
I like the up keep on Swappa I wouldn't want broken devices to be sold there either.

Swappa is a partner with XDA so that's the XDA Market.
Frankly I am happy that they closed old XDA Market, it created lots of issues and maintanence for the XDA mods that weren't needed. There were a bunch of people too cheap or too poor to spend proper money and low balling everything, can't sell anything with a bunch of low ballers. And when you actually sell something, they give unnecesary issues and holding out on payment, one guy wanted me to record live on video my entire advanture of boxing the phone up and mailing it at the post office to make sure its a legit transaction. Not to metion the on going scams and people who messed up their phones flashing and willingfully selling them with hidden issues.
