ROM & KERNELS FOR HTC THUNDERBOLT ONLY!!!
YOU MUST WIPE DATA AND CACHE BEFORE YOU INSTALL THIS ROM!!!

we need to wipe if we are upgrading from 1.45

Running LTS 1.5 and loving it. I have found a ROM/kernel/radio combo that has finally brought the Thunderbolt happiness I was expecting at launch.
My question is this: Can I use any of the battery mods found in the BAMF Remix Extras thread
(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043589)?
If not, where is the best place to find them for LTS? I like the battery in LTS, but I would like to change the color to better match my wallpaper (I change often).
Thanks!

Quick Question...where is the apk for the advanced camera stored or what's the name of it? It works awesome and I like the additional "stuff" you get with it.

What up Detroit!

Tried loading this yesterday, as well as 1.45. Wiped multiple times, everything including battery stats between loads. For the life of me I cannot get the stock apps removed to reinstall using the spare parts. I'd check the box, it would come up saying "removing [app]" then would report the software as installed and the box would be checked. The app isn't installed, and after a reboot the check mark disappears and the app shows uninstalled.
Suggestions?

I am sorry if this may be a noob question (I have asked it in the LTS 1.45 thread and now here), but no one seems to want to answer it. Is there a good thread on how to change these type of elements?

How are you all doing with battery life with the LTS v1.5 w// 1.92x kernel? Better or worse than the infamous v4.0 w/ 1.92x kernel?

Can you tell me how to get my voice to texted back? Other than that nice work.

Sad this Rom isn't getting the love it deserves. It's amazingly smooth, quick, and perfectly stable. I just don't like the boot up animation much sorry :\

I want to throw in a word of gratitude to the devs for this ROM, especially if they haven't gotten a ton of feedback so far. I had been running variations of Das BAMF / MikRoms, both of which I'd been extremely satisfied with. I had been running BAMF GB edition up until the Great GB Controversy of 2011. Deciding to play it safe, I reverted to Froyo and took the opportunity to try out this ROM. I must say, I'm glad I did. While I had no complaints about either BAMF or MikRoms (and am in fact, extremely thrilled with both), the battery life has been phenomenal on Liquid Thundersense from what I've seen so far. I only have about half a day under my belt, so it might be too early to tell, but so far indications seem to point at a very strong battery life. I really enjoy the themed elements, including animations, the battery and 3G/4G signal icons, power indicators, and look of Rosie. I can understand the mixed opinions on the bootanimation, but considering I haven't had any random reboots, it's not a big deal. The ROM seems smooth and responsive so far, and more than anything I'm enjoying the battery life and confidence that I can go out tonight with a partial charge and not have to sweat it.
Thanks, Liquid Smooth ROMs!

I 100% agree with the above statement!

I would consider this rom, one thing i dont like and try to avoid in all roms is the transparency. Im still running BAMF GB but im considering going back. Im not really nervous but there probably wont be anymore updates so i think i might jump ship soon. Is there a way to get rid of transparency?

Are you folks who are saying the battery life is good with 1.5 using the stock kernel that comes with the ROM or another kernel?

Stock kernel is imoseyons kernel and it allows to switch between all the settings through terminal emulator, and it has awesome battery life. I use 1.92x voltages

Yup, before some apps went crazy I was running lower idle currents than any rom I've tried. IMO's extreme kernel though.

any reason that you took the link down?? i started downloading a bit ago and i saw that you took the link down about 1 min after i started the download. i think that this rom is just what my captivate needs i need about 1 hr more battery life than what im getting now. cant wait till my battery is fully charged.
i noticed 2 small things and it was not signed. it will be up in a min
Good luck with your ROM, I know I've learned a ton in such a short amount of time.

I bring to you the not-so-impossible, Froyd on the HTC Droid Eris! =D
This is my first time on VR, but thanks to my good friend Pulser for helping me out Iam now here.
This ROM is brought to you by Me (Captainkrtek), with thanks to:
Punk.Kaos - For his base ROM KaosFroyo v39
Pulser
Conap
Decad3nce
Gnarlyc
invisblek
Everyone at VR for their hardwork!
This ROM is incomplete and probably has a few things not working, but I think is a good daily driver till I fix some issues.
What currently works:
Data (3G)
SMS
MMS
Camera
Haptic Feedback
Trackball
Wifi
GPS
Bluetooth
And other stuff that im too lazy to list
What doesn't work (yet):
Vibration
Probably some other stuff
Im not responsible if this ROM causes your Eris to implode/explode (I hope it doesnt) ;-)
Download V1.0 Here
Download V1.1 Here
UPDATES:
1.7.1
1.7.2
YOU MUST FLASH 1.7.1 FIRST THEN 1.7.2
Whats in these updates? As quoted from Pulser's post on VR:
Fixes twitter apps, apps missing from market, HTC IME mod FC etc. After flashing, you MUST wipe the app data for the market (menu, settings, applications, manage applications, all, market, clear data). Fixes voice search and speech support. Flash over 1.7.1. You MUST install 1.7.1 first, or you won't get those fixes. This goes in ADDITION to 1.7.1

Correct
2.2 vanilla, cm based
Regarding sense, there is a Hero rom called VillainROM 12 that I am reliably informed is very, very fast on the eris, to the point of it being more responsive in use than a newer device It would need ported though, so don't go flashing it from the gsm version
If there was/is demand for a 2.1 sense rom, that is fast but fully featured, let CK know
Interested
I am definitely interested in seeing this move forward from here .... not so sure about 2.1 w/sense, but VR 2.2.1 with CK (+PK !) & Pulser behind this project sure sounds like a winner to me !
Any new ROM that is FAAAST & STABLE with good support^(!!) for the lowly little Eris is ALWAAAYS a welcome option ..... that is, until the 'option' is an early upgrade ..... to a ThunderBolt, maaaay-be
Many Thanks to the Capt'n for showin' sum love for the many Erii still out there !!!
Ill keep improving this I also already have VR12 semi working.
Thanks!

I hate the imploding but I kinda like the exploding.
At least for me it appears GPS isn't working yet. With only GPS turned on as a location source Maps complained that no location source was turned on. Not a complaint in any way....just thought I'd check since I believe you said GPS hadn't been tested.
I wish the bootscreen was just teh android, no text. I'd rip it and use it on every ROM I use lol

very nice rom, I like it but question, why do 3d gallery app keep appearing on these roms? Yes its nice but everytime I load something using usb and then go to the gallery it takes forever to load. Thats why I like xtrROM because it gives you the option to choose which photo app you want to use. If this rom had it that'll be awesome. Its just that 3D gallery is not ment to run smooth on the Eris. Maybe or Maybe its just my Eris.

Questions about Malware protection
I was reading that there are new malware attacks going on in the Android Market, that some people are cloning or stealing some app and republishing them with some root, backdoor coding. I also was reading that theres a patch to prevent that.
What is some of the techniques to protect yourself from this type of malware infections?

In need a few EH17 testers for OC/UV GB kernel (Status: CLOSED)

EDIT: I think I have enough testers now. I'll take a few stragglers for a little bit but the testing window is now closed. I will leave the thread open until tomorrow so the testers can leave me notes on their experience (apart from what they shared on irc). Thank you for all who showed up to test! Stay tuned for another round of testing soon!
Most of you are familiar with my Genocide kernel for Froyo. For the next couple of hours I need a handful of testers for a 1.4ghz kernel compiled from Gingerbread source. My personal testing seems to be pretty positive so I need some other people to beat on the kernel for a little while.
So far the kernel has support for the following:
eh17 only (cm7 kernel available but I would prefer eh17 users)
overlock and undervolt support (100mhz, 200mhz, 400mhz, 600mhz, 800mhz, 1.0ghz, 1.1ghz, 1.2ghz, 1.3ghz, 1.4ghz)
rfs & ext4 support
bootanimation.zip/sanim.zip support
init.d/ support
keytimer patches
latest su and superuser.apk (installed automatically if not already installed)
initramfs from chris41g's eh17plus kernel (slightly modified)
and a few more tweaks
Please don't ask to test if you don't really know or feel comfortable using experimental stuff. I try to test everything thoroughly that I put out but I am still not responsible if something really bad happens. I will how ever help any way I can to get you back going. It is important that you make a CWM backup before you flash the experimental kernel. My main focus right now is the overclocking and undervolting stability but everything needs to be tested more.
If you would like to test find me on irc for the next few hours. Please stay in the channel and give feedback of what works and doesn't work. Join in and give it hell!

i can compile a cm7 version to test the overclock stuff but i was holding off on that to make sure we had no weird bugs introduced by cm7
I would die to test the CM7 kernel, but I have an EH17 Nand on standby shout out for Rodderik my Hero

eh17 kernel supports ext4 so yeah it should be fine...just do a cwm backup first just in case
I will test out a cm7 version. I am always in to test.

If you need someone else to test on Hurricane ROM 1.6 let me know. I test software for a living

i'd like to keep the links on irc...you can use andchat from the market and connect to irc.irondust.net and join the channel #devphone
ok so i can keep all the testers that are still around straight, please answer these few questions for me when you finish testing. i'll leave this thread open until tomorrow.
1. which kernel did you test? (eh17/cm7)
2. what rom and version are you using?
3. tell me a detailed story about your overclocking experience. (what works, what didn't work, what you did or didn't do, were you able to go higher on froyo stable, etc)
4. did you find anything else that didn't work as expected?
5. any other comments/suggestions/moans/complaints?
Freezes above 122 for me on CM7
Also noticed I was plugged in to USB and the battery was decreasing and not charging
I'm running this on cm7.1 the latest build.
This appears 100% stable even at 1.4ghz (I always bump core voltage up to 1400 and internal to 1150 though from previous experience.
the hardware keyboard misses nothing *keyboard sweep time* qwertyuiop asdfghjkl zxcvbnm
I have no complaints at all. Just looking forward to cm7 having ext4 support.
