Kernal/boot.img help

OK, I'm trying something with our continuums and it requires editing the boot.img file, which we don't have, correct? But whenever we flash a kernal, the file is listed as zimage, and our zimage the same as boot.img? And we do I find our kernal in our phone?

Sorry... been out of the loop. Samsung does their boot setup a little different than HTC or Moto... With Samsung, we have zimage, which is broken down into initramfs and a primitive file system, if I recall. The initramfs initiates the primitive cache system (which is an rfs file type... hence the reason we do it differently). Once that is initialized, it starts the boot process in the kernel.

That site may help you a little with whatever you are trying to do.

Audio fix..
This is the fix for Audio/Sound on any Jelly Bean ROM on any device.JB needs this file "/system/etc/media_codecs.xml"This file is missing, but simply copying the file there using Root Explorer or any file explorer with root access works. This does not require a permissions change. The file is not there originally so you won't be overwriting anything. I did this fix on my Atrix 4G and it worked perfectly. It is universal and will work on any Jelly Bean ROM on any device with this issue. Here is a link to the file:*http://forum.xda-developers.com/atta...9&d=1342668760Steps:- Extract "media_codecs.xml"*- Copy it to /system/etc/- Make sure to mount system as R/W (read/write) before pasting the file- Reboot- Sound Fixed!
Let me know if it's working ir not .
Enjoy
Only for SHW-M110S korean galaxy s
Not working:
1.phone ringtone and some audio problems.
In other ways good rom till now working with cm 10 stable.
How to install:
1.Install recovery from odin
2.boot into recovery by pressing power+volume down+homebuttons
3.choose install from sd card
4.choose the downloaded zip and gapps 5.reboot
Enjoy!
I guess you don't read Korean; this ROM has issues with the ringtone not working, along with other audio problems related around headphones.

Try flashing again.
Beacause I tried it there's no fault of root.
Or try using supersuser and update superuser binary it should work on it.
