Guys I can't edit the gps.conf and neither delete it or replace it.....root check says I am rooted.....wht to do?

You need to use root explorer or something similar to make the root file system writable (rw) its in read only (ro) mode to start with

I'm using file expert......I rooted again using 1.2 now....deleted it...replaced.....now it says eror opening file!

Check the permissions and ownership.

Everythings fine now....one advice to everyone rooted....don't use file expert....it corrupts file while copying.......

It's in framework-res.apk, if you don't find it in /data... I ran the apk through APK Manager - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695701&highlight=[TOOL] myself. You can also do it more 'manually', of course.

I now I should know this by now - but it drives me crazy:
I just download a speedmod kernel file - through my phone
and I can't find where it is stored...
if you have used browser, then you can search in /sdcard/download
It's in the tapatalkxdapre_download folder if using xda app

Root your phone. Then download an app called folder Mount. It'll make the changes as it starts up. We'll it will request to. Then you'll regain access
